(Fig. 14) Fig. 14 Electrical Connection WARNING The rear of the refrigerator cooling system has hot surfaces and sharp surfaces that can damage electrical wiring. Make sure there is a good clearance between all electrical wiring and the cooling system of the refrigerator. Position any electrical wiring within the refrigerator enclosure opposite the burner side of the refrigerator. Do not put any electrical wiring through the roof exhaust vent. Failure to correctly position electrical wiring can result in electrical shock or fire. The refrigerator operates on the following energy sources: 115-volt AC - (132 volts maximum - 108 volts minimum) NOTE: If a DC power source is to be connected, please use a genuine Furrion designed/authorized power inverter to change the 12V DC power to AC 115V/60Hz. Operation out of these limits can damage the refrigerator electrical components and will void the warranty. Wiring Diagram8 English Operation Maintenance The refrigerator operates on a 115V AC/60Hz energy source. Operation out of these limits can damage the refrigerator electrical components and will void the warranty. Turn On/Off the Refrigerator Before connecting the refrigerator to the mains and putting into operation for the first time, leave the refrigerator to stand for 30 minutes to allow the refrigerant to flow into the compressor. Otherwise the compressor may be damaged. NOTE: If the refrigerator is unplugged or power lost, you must wait at least 7 minutes before restarting. To Switch On: Plug the refrigerator into the power socket and the refrigerator will be turned on automatically. To Switch Off: Unplug the refrigerator from the power socket. Thermostat Control WARNING ● Do not set the temperature too low, the “3” setting should be considered cold enough as a storage temperature. ● After the refrigerator has been unplugged, leave for 7 minutes minimum before plugging it in again. The thermostat control knob for is located on top of storage compartment. The first time you turn on your refrigerator, rotate the thermostat control knob to the “3” position and leave enough time for your refrigerator to cool down completely before loading stuffs. The thermostat control knob has five settings. “1” is the warmest. “5” is the coldest. The “3” level should be the most appropriated setting for office or RV refrigerator use. Read and understand the following maintenance sections of this manual. NOTE: Furrion is not responsible for installation, adjustment, alteration, service, or maintenance performed by anyone other than a qualified RV dealer or a Furrion authorized service center. Have a qualified RV dealer or a Furrion authorized service center do this annual safety and maintenance check: – Make sure the AC voltage is 110 -120 volt. Refrigerator Care Checklist Your refrigerator will give you years of trouble free service if you do these simple checks every three to six months: ● Keep the food compartment and the freezer clean. See “Cleaning” section. ● Defrost the refrigerator as necessary. See “Defrosting” section. ● Make sure the door seals correctly. See “Door Sealing” section. ● Be aware of any cooling changes that are not because of weather, loading, or control changes. If changes occur, contact your dealer or service center. ● Make sure the air flow in the lower intake vent, through the refrigerator coils and condenser, and out the upper exhaust vent is not blocked or decreased. ● Make sure the area behind the refrigerator is clear. Do not use the area behind the refrigerator for storage of anything, especially combustible materials, gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids. Defrosting Excess frost decreases the cooling performance of the refrigerator. Defrost the refrigerator and freezer as necessary. The cooling fins of the refrigerator operates at temperature below freezing and will form frost from humidity naturally, which is always present in the air. The humidity inside the refrigerator increases: – With higher outside temperature and humidity. – With the storage of non-sealed fresh foods or warm foods storage. – With the amount of time that the door(s) are open. – With any air leakage into the refrigerator.9 English Cleaning Unplug the refrigerator before cleaning. If this is not practical, wring excess moisture out of sponge or cloth when cleaning around switches, lights or controls. Use warm water and baking soda solution - about a tablespoon (15 ml) of baking soda to a quart (1 liter) of water. This both cleans and neutralizes odors. After cleaning the door gaskets, apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly to the door gaskets at the hinge side. This helps keep the gaskets from sticking and bending out of shape. Avoid cleaning cold glass shelves (if equipped) with hot water because the extreme temperature difference may cause them to break. Handle glass shelves carefully. Bumping tempered glass can cause it to shatter. Do not wash any plastic refrigerator parts in the dishwasher. Cleaning the Outside Keep the outside clean. Wipe with a clean cloth lightly dampened with kitchen appliance wax or mild liquid dish detergent. Dry and polish with a clean, soft cloth. Do not wipe the refrigerator with a soiled dish cloth or wet towel. These may leave a residue that can erode the paint. Do not use scouring pads, powdered cleaners, bleach or cleaners containing bleach because these products can scratch and weaken the paint finish. Cleaning the Inside To help prevent odors, leave an open box of baking soda in the fresh food and freezer compartments. Door Sealing If either door does not seal correctly, excess frost will collect inside the refrigerator. Make sure the doors seal correctly:
1. Close each door on a piece of paper that is about the size
and thickness of a dollar bill.
2. Gently pull the paper. You should feel a slight drag
between the gasket and the cabinet.
3. Do this on all four sides of the door.
4. If you do not feel a slight drag on the paper, the door does
not seal correctly Have your dealer or a Furrion authorized service center to correct the seal of the door. Remove/Reinstall the Refrigerator Your dealer or Furrion authorized service center must do this procedure. CAUTION: The rear of the refrigerator has sharp edges and corners. To prevent cuts or abrasions when working on the refrigerator, be careful and wear cut resistant gloves.
1. Remove the AC power cord from the receptacle.
2. Remove the plastic vents from the mounting flanges of the
3. Remove the screws from the upper and lower mounting
flanges on the front of the refrigerator.
4. Remove the refrigerator from the opening.
Repeat steps 4 to 1 to reinstall the refrigerator into the enclosure. Refrigerator Storage Before the refrigerator is stored for an extended (seasonal) period of time. ● Defrost and clean the interior of the refrigerator. See “Cleaning” section for detail. ● Close the doors with the storage latch. If the refrigerator is stored for an extended period of time, before start up: ● Make sure there are no obstructions in the vents, the ventilation air pathway, or the flue area. Replacement Parts You may purchase replacement parts through your local RV dealer or Furrion authorized Service Center. LED Lamp Replacement The interior light is at the top of the fresh food compartment. To replace a burned-out bulb:
1. Unplug the refrigerator from its receptacle.
2. Remove the LED lamp cover by pulling it downward.
3. Unscrew the screws holding the LED lamp after fully
cooled down and replace with a bulb in the same or lower wattage.
4. Install the cover.10

Problem Solution When the refrigerator does not work Check if there is a power failure. Check if the power plug is plugged into power outlet. When the refrigerator is cooling excessively The temperature control dial may be set too high. If you place foodstuffs containing a lot of moisture directly under the cool air outlet, they will freezer easily. This does not indicate a malfunction. When the refrigerator is not cooling sufficiently The food may be packed too tightly together which will block the flow of cool air. You may have put something hot or a lot of foodstuffs into the refrigerator. The door may not have been closed properly. The door gaskets may be damaged. The refrigerator may not be ventilated. There may be insufficient clearance between the refrigerator and the surfaced immediately both sides and above. The temperature control dial may not be set properly. When the defrosting water overflows inside the refrigerator and onto the floor Checks that the drain pipe and drain hose are not clogged. Check that the drain pan is house properly. When the refrigerator’s cabinet front heats up In order to safeguard against condensation, there is an anti-condensation pipe which heats up the cabinet front when running actuated. A warm cabinet front does not indicate a malfunction. When condensation forms on the outside of the refrigerator Condensation may form on the outside when the humidity is high such as during a wet season. This is the same result as the condensation formed when chilled water is poured into a glass. It does not, therefore, indicate a failure, wipe dry with a dry cloth. When you hear a sound like water flowing A sound like water flowing is the refrigerant flowing. It doesn’t indicate a malfunction. When the cabinet’s side panel heats up The side panel of the cabinet will heat up when the door is opened or closed frequently. When starting the unit and when the unit operates in summer with high ambient outside temperature. In such case, do not touch the panel, it results from the dissipation of the heat from inside the cabinet, and it does not mean that something is wrong with the refrigerator.11 English FURRION WARRANTS FOR A PERIOD OF YEAR FROM DATE OF RETAIL PURCHASE BY THE ORIGINAL ENDUSE PURCHASER, THAT THIS PRODUCT, WHEN DELIVERED TO YOU IN NEW CONDITION, IN ORIGINAL PACKAGING, FROM A FURRION AUTHORIZED RESELLER AND USED IN NORMAL CONDITIONS, IS FREE FROM ANY DEFECTS IN MANUFACTURING, MATERIALS, AND WORKMANSHIP.
