How to connect the ROG Spatha X mouse in wired mode?
Connect the included USB Type-C to Type-A cable to your mouse and to a USB port on your computer. The mouse will immediately work in wired mode.
How to connect the mouse in wireless (RF) mode?
Connect the included USB Type-C to Type-A cable to the wireless receiver / charging dock and to a USB port on your computer. Make sure the mouse is powered on (power switch) and paired. By default, it is already paired.
How to pair the mouse with the wireless receiver?
Press and hold the pairing button on the back of the dock for 3 seconds (the LED indicator flashes green). Then, on the mouse, press and hold the pairing button for 3 seconds. The LEDs flash green. Pairing is successful when the LEDs return to their previous lighting effect.
How to adjust DPI with the scroll wheel?
Hold the DPI button for 3 seconds until the mouse LEDs light up. Then, scroll the wheel forward to increase DPI by 50 per step, or backward to decrease it. The color of the scroll wheel LED changes according to DPI (blue for 100 DPI, red for 19,000 DPI). Press the DPI button to save.
How to change the lighting profile?
The mouse has 5 integrated profiles. To switch between them, use the key combinations A+B, A+C, A+D, A+E, A+F. The default lighting effects are: Rainbow (Profile 1), Color Cycle (Profile 2), Blue Breathing (Profile 3), Green Reactive (Profile 4), Comet (Profile 5).
How to recharge the mouse?
You can recharge the mouse by connecting it via the included USB cable directly to a USB port, or by placing it on the charging dock. The LEDs turn red (pulsing) when the battery is below 20%.
What software to use to customize the mouse?
Use the Armoury Crate software available on the ASUS website. You can customize DPI settings, profiles, lighting effects, button programming, and update the firmware.
What to do if the mouse is not responding?
Check that the mouse is powered on (power switch). If in wireless mode, make sure it is paired and the battery is charged. In wired mode, check the USB connection. You can also click the left button to exit sleep mode.
How to update the mouse firmware?
Connect the mouse or charging dock to the computer via the USB cable. Launch Armoury Crate and follow the instructions to update the firmware. Download the software from https://rog.asus.com/Mice-Mouse-Pads/Mice/Ergonomic-Right-Handed/ROG-Spath-X-model/helpdesk/.

Connecting your gaming mouse

Setting up your gaming mouse as a wired mouse

Connect the bundled USB Type-C ^® to Type-A cable to your gaming mouse and a USB port on your computer.

Setting up your gaming mouse as an RF wireless mouse

NOTE: Download the driver from https://www.asus.com and install it on your computer.

  1. Connect the bundled USB Type-C® to Type-A cable to your wireless receiver/charging dock and a USB port on your computer.

NOTE: Your gaming mouse comes paired by default. Please follow steps 2 - 5 only if you need to pair your gaming mouse again.

  1. Press the Pairing button for 3 seconds on the rear of your wireless receiver/charging dock, the Dock LED indicator should begin blinking green.
  2. Slide the Power Switch to turn on your ROG SPATHA X gaming mouse.
  3. Press the Pairing button for 3 seconds on your ROG SPATHA X gaming mouse, the LEDs should begin blinking green.
  4. The Dock LED indicator and gaming mouse LEDs will return to their original lighting effects when your ROG SPATHA X gaming mouse has successfully paired.

NOTE: Click on the left button to wake your ROG SPATHA X gaming mouse from sleep mode.

Battery Status

The LEDs on your gaming mouse will turn red (breathing) when the battery power is below 20% in RF 2.4G mode. You may charge your gaming mouse by using the bundled USB cable or wireless receiver/charging dock.

Using the DPI On-The-Scroll tuning function

The DPI On-The-Scroll tuning function allows you to customize the DPI of your gaming mouse without using Armoury Crate.

  1. Press and hold the DPI button for 3 seconds until the LEDs on your gaming mouse light up.
  2. Scroll the scroll wheel forwards or backwards to adjust the DPI. The LED color hue on your scroll wheel will differ depending on the DPI adjustment.

NOTE:

  • The DPI increments at 50 DPI per scroll forwards and decrements at 50 DPI per scroll backwards.
  • The DPI ranges from 100 DPI (blue) to 19000 DPI (red).

  • Press the DPI button once you have finished customizing the DPI value to save the changes made.

Updating the gaming mouse and wireless receiver/charging dock

  1. Connect your gaming mouse or wireless receiver/charging dock to your computer using the bundled cable.
  2. Download and install the Armoury Crate software from https://rog.asus.com/Mice-Mouse-Pads/Mice/Ergonomic-Right-Handed/ROG-Spath-X-model/helpdesk/.
  3. Follow the software instructions to update your gaming mouse's firmware.
  4. Customize your gaming mouse using Armoury Crate.
