How to install batteries in the AD02 breathalyzer?

Slide the back cover downward, insert 2 AAA 1.5 V alkaline batteries respecting polarity, then replace the cover.

How long should you wait after drinking alcohol before a test?

To avoid measurement errors, wait at least 10 minutes after your last alcohol consumption before taking the test.

What does the display 'PH' or 'BLOW' mean?

'PH' indicates the warm-up phase of the device (about 20 seconds). 'BLOW' means the device is ready and you must blow into the mouthpiece.

How to clean the AD02 breathalyzer?

Use a clean dry cloth to wipe the device. Never use corrosive products, solvents, or hard objects that could damage it.

What to do if the device displays a red light and emits a long beep?

This means the alarm threshold (0.2 ‰) has been exceeded. The result is displayed for 35 seconds, then the device turns off automatically.

Is the breathalyzer accurate? What is its margin of error?

The stated accuracy is ±0.08 ‰. However, the result should not be considered absolute proof of your blood alcohol level.

Can I use the breathalyzer if the battery is low?

It is not recommended to use the device with a low battery as it may reduce measurement accuracy and increase the risk of deviation from actual values.

How many tests can be performed with new batteries?

Battery life is more than 200 tests with new AAA alkaline batteries.

What to do if the device has not been used for a long time?

Perform three successive tests. The first two may be less reliable; only the third test should be considered the most relevant.

Can the breathalyzer be used to determine if I am fit to drive?

No. This product is an indicator of probable alcohol concentration in breath, but it cannot be used to decide your ability to drive or perform dangerous activities. Alcohol consumption, even minimal, impairs reflexes.

The function of the device is only to indicate the probable alcohol concentration in exhaled air. The test result should not be considered as an undisputed determiner of the ability to safely drive a vehicle, operate a device or perform other hazardous activities.

Because the body's response to alcohol differs tremendously depending on many individual factors, the decision whether one is allowed to perform a given activity cannot be based on the result of the test.

The manufacturer, importer and distributor shall assume no liability for the use of this product in any way. The product cannot be used as a tool to determine whether a person is able to safely or legally drive or operate a motor vehicle or any other device. Even a small quantity of

Preparation

1. Install the batteries: Slide the rear cover down.. Install 2 AAA alkalinebatteries1.5V. Slide the cover back in place.
2. After the batteries are installed the device starts the initialization. During the process the „INITIALIZE” message flash on the screen for 1 minute. When the initialization is completed the breathalyzer can start a test.

2. Test instructions

2.1. Use the Power button to turn the breathalyzer on.
2.2. Breathalyzer turns on and emits a short beep. The „PH” message is shown on the screen for a brief moment. Then, it is displaced by a countdown timer that shows the test preparation time. Please wait. After 20 seconds the device beeps and the screen shows „BLOW” message. Now you can start the test.
2.3. The first step is to take a deep breath, then blow directly into the mouthpiece's hole until you hear a beep sound.
2.4. When the test is completed the device beeps, and the result is displayed on the LCD screen. The alarm is off as long as the concentration of alcohol in breath is lower than the present level. However, when it is exceeded, the device emits long beep sound and the red warning LED turns on. The test result is displayed on the screen for 35 seconds, then the device turns off.
2.5. If you need to do the test again, please repeat the steps described in sections 2.2 - 2.4.

3. Usage notes

3.1. Do not allow the device to be dropped or exposed to shock.
3.2. The device may not function properly in places with a high concentration of gases.
3.3. The tests performed at low-battery condition are of reduced measurement accuracy, which increases the risk of incorrect results, different from the actual values.
3.4. To prevent measurement errors and reduce the risk of incorrect results, when you stop drinking, please wait 10 minutes before starting the test.
3.5. When operating the device please strictly follow the instructions indicated in this manual. If the device has not been used for a long time, the results of the first two tests may differ from the actual values. Thus, the third measurement should be considered as the most accurate one.
3.6. The product should not be used or stored in places where it would be exposed to chlorine or other corrosive gases.
3.7. Under normal circumstances, the life cycle of the sensor can exceed 2 years.
3.8. To clean the breathalyzer, wipe it with a clean cloth. Do not use any hard objects or solvents containing corrosive substances.
