How to connect the thermostat?

Insert the thermostat plug fully into the connector on the pot (see figure 3). Use only the supplied cable.

Which temperature to choose for which use?

Thermostat positions: 1 ~115°C, 2 ~155°C, 3 ~175°C, 4 ~185°C, 5 ~220°C. Use position 5 for searing meat, intermediate positions for simmering.

Why does the indicator light turn on and off?

This is normal: the thermostat maintains constant temperature. The light goes off when the temperature is reached and comes back on when the heating element restarts.

Can I use metal utensils?

No, only use wooden or heat-resistant plastic utensils. Metal or sharp utensils damage the non-stick coating.

How to clean the appliance?

Unplug and let cool. Remove the thermostat. Clean the pot with a damp cloth and a little mild detergent. Never immerse the thermostat, cable, or pot in water.

What to do if the appliance does not heat?

Check that the thermostat plug is fully inserted into the connector and that the wall outlet works. If the problem persists, contact Bestron support.

Can I use the appliance outdoors?

Yes, but be cautious. Avoid damp places and ensure the surface is stable and heat-resistant.

What does the smoke mean during first use?

A slight smoke and smell are normal during first heating. Ensure good ventilation. It disappears after a few minutes.

How to store the appliance after use?

Let it cool completely, clean it, then store in a dry place. Wind the cable without bending it.

What is the warranty of this appliance?

Bestron offers a 60-month warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects. Keep the proof of purchase.

Only use the appliance in the manner described in the instructions. Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.

If the appliance is defective, do not try to repair it yourself. Always have a qualified mechanic carry out any repairs.

Children:

• This appliance may be used by children over the age of 8 years old and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and know-how, but only if supervised or if they have been instructed on how to use the appliance safely and are aware of its potential dangers.
  • Children are not allowed to clean and maintain the appliance, except if they are over the age of 8 years old and supervised.
• Keep the appliance and the cable out of reach of children under the age of 8 years old.
• Keep an eye on children to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

• Check that the mains voltage corresponds with that shown on the rating plate of an electrical appliance before you use it.
• Check that the socket to which you connect the electrical appliance is earthed.
  • Always install electrical appliances on a stable and level surface where it cannot fall over.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS APPLIANCE

• Be careful when using the appliance outdoors.
• Never use the appliance in damp or wet locations.
• Thoroughly clean the appliance after use (see Cleaning and Maintenance).
• Never move the appliance when it is switched on or is still hot. Switch off the appliance before moving it.
  • Always pick up the appliance by the handles. All metal parts can be very hot.
  • Always use implements with a suitable insulating handle when grilling food on the grill plate.
• Do not use sharp or metal implements on the grill plate. These will damage the non-stick coating.

ENVIRONMENT

- Dispose of packaging material such as plastic and cardboard boxes in the designated containers.

- Do not dispose of this product as normal domestic waste at the end of its life, but hand it in at a collection point for the reuse of electric and electronic equipment. Look for the symbol on the product, the user instructions or the packaging showing the type of waste.

- The materials can be used as indicated. By helping us reuse and process the materials or otherwise recycle the old equipment, you will be making an important contribution towards the protection of the environment.

OPERATION - General

The appliance is intended only for domestic use, not for professional use.

BEFORE FIRST USE - Cleaning

1. Remove all packaging material.
2. Clean the appliance before using the appliance for the first time (see 'Cleaning and maintenance').

ATTENTION:

• The appliance may emit a little smoke and a characteristic smell when you switch it on for the first time. This is normal and will stop on its own. Make sure the appliance has sufficient ventilation.
• Keep house birds away from the appliance when it is in use. Fumes released from the non-stick coating are harmful to birds.

BEFORE FIRST USE - Assembling

Assemble the glass lid (3) and knob (4) as follows:

OPERATION - Preheating

1. Put the appliance on a level and heat-resistant surface.
2. Insert the thermostat fully into the socket (see Figure 3).

ATTENTION:

• Only the supplied cable with thermostat may be used.
• Put the plug in the wall socket.

1. Adjust the thermostat dial to the required temperature (see Figure 4):

ATTENTION:

- The indicator light on the thermostat will illuminate to show that the heating element has been switched on.

1. After a few minutes the indicator light will go out. Once the indicator light has extinguished the appliance has reached the required temperature, and is ready for use.

ATTENTION:

- During use the heating element will switch on and off to keep the temperature of the pan constant. Consequently the indicator light will also occasionally be illuminated.

OPERATION - Grilling

1. Allow the pan to preheat (see 'Preheating').
2. If so required, grease the bottom of the pan with a little oil.
3. Place the food you wish to grill in the pan.
4. Grill the food until it's well cooked. Turn the food over occasionally whilst it is being grilled to ensure that both sides are evenly cooked.
5. Remove the food out of the pan and place it on a plate. Take care! The food is hot.

ATTENTION:

- Do not use a fork, knife or other sharp object! You may damage the non-stick coating.

OPERATION - After use

1. Turn the thermostat dial to the "0" position.
2. Remove the plug from the wall socket.
3. Let the appliance cool down fully.
4. Remove the thermostat by holding the appliance's handle with one hand and pulling the thermostat out of the socket with the other hand. Make sure you do not touch the appliance's metal socket; it may still be hot. Always hold the thermostat by the plastic section. The metal pin fitted to the thermostat can be very hot

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the appliance after each use.

1. Remove the plug from the wall socket, allow the appliance to cool down completely, and pull the thermostat out of the socket.
2. Clean the pan and the base with a damp cloth, if necessary moistened with a couple of drops of washing-up liquid.
3. Dry the pan and the base thoroughly.

ATTENTION:

• Verify that the appliance is not connected to the power supply before you start to clean it.
• Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) to clean the appliance.
• Never immerse the socket, thermostat, plug or power cord in water or other liquid.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

Bestron offers a 60-month warranty on this equipment against defects resulting from manufacturing and/or material errors, subject to the following conditions.

1. No labour or material costs will be charged during this warranty period.
2. Any repairs carried out under the warranty will not extend the warranty period.
3. Faulty parts, or in the event of exchange, the faulty equipment itself, will automatically become the property of Bestron.
4. The warranty is valid for the first buyer only and is non-transferable.
5. The warranty is not valid for damage caused by:

- Accidents

• Improper use
• Wear and tear

- Neglect

• Faulty installation
• Connection to a different mains voltage than indicated on the type plate
  • Unauthorised changes
  • Repairs carried out by unqualified third parties
• Use in violation with the applicable statutory, technical or safety standards

• Careless transport without suitable packaging or other protection

We may refuse the parcel and you will be liable for the costs. Contact us first and we tell you how the appliance should be packaged and sent.
