Frequently Asked Questions - Z31049 FLORABEST

How does the Florabest Z31049 solar electronic repellent work?
The device emits sound waves at intervals of 20 seconds for 5 seconds to repel moles and other pests. It is powered by a solar cell that recharges the built-in NiMH batteries.
Where should I install the repellent for optimal operation?
Place it in a location exposed to direct sunlight for as long as possible. The solar cell should be oriented as vertically as possible relative to the angle of incidence of light.
How long does it take to recharge the batteries?
The charging time depends on the light intensity and the angle of incidence. In sunny weather, a few hours are enough, but it may take longer in cloudy weather.
How do I replace the batteries?
Open the battery compartment (see illustration E in the manual), remove the old batteries and insert two new NiMH AA 1.2 V / 600 mAh batteries, observing polarity.
What should I do if the lighting duration decreases?
If the lamp turns off more quickly despite good sunlight, the batteries may be worn out. Replace them with new ones of the same type.
How do I clean the device?
Use a dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth. Avoid abrasive products.
Is the device waterproof?
Yes, it is rated IP44, which means it is resistant to water splashes. It can stay outside in the rain but must not be submerged.
Can children use the device?
It can be used by children from 8 years of age under adult supervision. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.
What to do in case of malfunction?
Keep sources of radio interference away (nearby electronic devices). If the problem persists, remove the batteries, wait a few moments, then reinsert them.
How to dispose of the device at end of life?
Do not dispose of the device or batteries in household waste. Take them to a recycling center or appropriate collection point, in accordance with directive 2006/66/EC.
