Frequently Asked Questions - HG02066 CRIVIT

How to assemble the Crivit HG02066 shade sail?
Assembly requires 2 people. Take the canopy out of the bag, assemble the poles (bottom, middle, top) to form 2 uprights, place the tips in the corners of the canopy, raise it, then tighten the tensioners and fix the stakes in the ground at a 45° angle. See illustrations A to C in the manual.
Can I leave the sail assembled permanently?
No, do not leave the product unattended. Dismantle it in case of strong wind (forecast >40 km/h) or heavy snowfall. The fabric must be dismantled and dried before storage to prevent mold.
Is the sail waterproof?
The manual does not mention specific waterproofing. It is designed for sun protection. In case of rain, the fabric may let water through; it is recommended to dismantle it if heavy rain is expected.
How to clean the shade sail?
Use a soft sponge and clean water. Never machine wash it and do not use sharp objects. Let it dry completely before storing.
Can I use the sail on sand?
Yes, but the manual states that sandy surfaces reduce stability. Make sure the ground allows a solid fixation of the stakes. If necessary, lengthen the ropes with a loop and move the stake.
What is the maximum height of the sail?
The maximum height is approximately 200 cm (2 meters) at the highest point of the poles.
Can the sail be used as a mosquito net?
No, the product is a shade sail designed for sun protection. It is not suitable as a mosquito net and does not protect against insects.
What safety risks should I be aware of?
Do not leave children unattended: the product is neither a toy nor a climbing device. Do not light a fire underneath. Set up only on a solid, flat ground, and regularly check the fixings. Dismantle in case of strong wind.
How to make a warranty claim?
Keep the receipt and the product reference (e.g. IAN 123456_7890). First contact customer service by phone or email. Send the defective product with postage paid, along with the proof of purchase and a description of the defect.
Where can I find spare parts?
Essential spare parts (poles, stakes, tensioners) are available during the warranty period. Contact customer service at the contact details provided in the manual.
