Introduction Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance. You have selected a high-quality product. The instructions for use are part of this product. They contain important infor- mation about safety, usage and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all instructions regarding safety and use. Use the product only as described and for the specified range of applications. Please also pass on all documents to any future owner. Intended use This appliance is intended exclusively for grilling and heating food indoors. This appliance is in- tended solely for use in private households. Do not use it for commercial purposes. Warnings and symbols used The following warnings and symbols are used in these instructions for use, on the packaging and on the appliance (where applicable): DANGER! A warning with this sym- bol and the signal word "DANGER" indicates an imminently hazardous situation that will result in death or serious injury if not avoided. WARNING! A warning with this symbol and the signal word "WARN- ING" indicates a potentially hazard- ous situation that could result in death or serious injury if not avoided. CAUTION! A warning with this sym- bol and the signal word "CAUTION" indicates a potentially hazardous situation that could result in a minor or moderate injury if not avoided. ATTENTION! A warning with this symbol and the signal word "ATTEN- TION" indicates a potential situation that could result in property damage if not avoided. 3 ■ Safety information DANGER! RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK! ■ To avoid potential risks, if the appliance power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service or by a qualified technician. ■ Do not allow the power cable to come into contact with hot appli- ance parts. Never use the appliance near naked flames, a hotplate or a heated oven. ■ Do not expose the appliance to rain, and never use it in ahumid or wet environment. Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet or moist during operation. ■ Check the device for visible external damage before use. Do not operate a device that has been damaged or dropped. ■ The power cable must be checked for signs of damage at regular intervals. If the power cable is damaged, the appliance may no longer be used. ■ The appliance must be connected to a mains socket with aprotec- tive earth. ■ The device must not come into contact with moisture such as rain or water. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid! There is a risk of fatal electric shock if residual liquids come into con- tact with live components during operation. WARNING! RISK OF INJURY! ■ This appliance may be used by children of the age of 8years or more and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental ca- pabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge only if they are being supervised or have been instructed with regard to the safe use of the appliance and have understood the potential risks. ■ Children must not play with the device. ■ Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless they are older than 8 years of age and are supervised. ■ Children younger than 8 years must be kept away from the appli- ance and the power cable. ■ After use, allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning it. Risk of burns! ■ If possible, set up the appliance close to a power socket. Ensure that the power plug is quickly reachable in case of danger, and that the cable poses no risk of tripping. ■ Provide a stable location for the appliance. Caution! Hot surface! ■ The surfaces of the appliance become very hot during use. While the appliance is in use, touch only the temperature control and the handles at the sides. CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE! ■ Do not use an external timer switch or a separate remote control system to operate the appliance. ■ Never leave the device unattended during operation. ■ Ensure that the appliance, the power cable and the plug do not come into contact with heat sources such as hotplates or naked flames. ■ Do not use charcoal or similar fuels to operate the appliance! ■ To protect the non-stick coating on the pans and the grill, do not use metallic tools such as knives, forks, etc. IB_460256_SRGM1500B2_LB8.indb 4 11.06.2024 10:36:03GB

1) Take all the parts out of the box, and re-
move the packaging material and any protective wrapping or stickers.
2) Clean all of the components as described
in the section Cleaning and care to remove any packaging residue. Ensure that all parts are completely dry before use.
3) Place the appliance on a clean and level
heat-resistant surface. Ensure that you do not place the appliance directly next to a wall or a cupboard. Each person should have unimpaired access to the pans 6.
4) Simply place the griddle 1 above the
heating element on the appliance. The curved side must face upwards.
5) Slide the pans 6 into the appliance.
Before first use The appliance is assembled and set up as described above:
1) Plug the plug into a power outlet. The red
indicator light 3 lights up to show that the appliance is connected to the mains.
2) Turn the temperature control 2 to MAX.
The green heat-up indicator light 4 lights up to indicate that the appliance is heating up.
3) After 20 minutes, turn the temperature
4) Then pull out the plug and allow the appli-
ance to cool down. Note ► The first time the appliance heats up, a small amount of smoke and odour may result from production-related residues. This is normal and is completely harmless. Ensure sufficient ventilation; for example, by opening a win- dow.
5) Clean the griddle 1, spatulas 7 and
pans 6 again as described in the section “Cleaning and care”.
6) Make sure that all parts are completely

Use WARNING! ► The surfaces of the appliance become very hot during use. Touch only the temperature control and the handles at the sides. Raclette
1) Lightly oil the inside of the pans 6.
2) Plug the plug into a power outlet. The red
indicator light 3 lights up to show that the appliance is connected to the mains.
3) Turn the temperature control 2 to MAX to
heat up the appliance. The green heat-up indicator light 4 lights up to indicate that the appliance is heating up. Note ► The heat-up indicator light 4 may come on and go out several times during this process. This is not a malfunction of the appliance! It merely indicates that the appliance is maintaining the set temperature. ► Depending on the room temperature, heating up will start at different positions on the temperature control 2.
4) Allow the appliance to heat up for about
5–10 minutes. The pans 6 do not need to be inserted into the appliance while it is heating up.
5) Fill the pans 6 with the desired ingredients.
Ensure that the pans 6 are not overfilled; otherwise, the food could get too close to the heating elements and could even touch them.
6) Place the pans 6 in the appliance. The
slight recess in the appliance helps to keep the pans in place.
7) Turn the temperature control2 towards 0
if you want to reduce the temperature. Turn the temperature control 2 towards MAX if you want to increase the tempera- ture again.
8) Remove the pans 6 from the appliance as
soon as the ingredients are cooked. WARNING! ► Apart from the insulated handles, the pans 6 are very hot! Therefore, hold the pans 6 only by the handle!!
9) Slide the contents of the pans 6 onto your
plate using the spatulas 7. You can now refill the pan 6 and insert it back into the appliance. Do not insert any used, empty pans 6 into the appliance. Any remaining food in the pans 6 could burn. Note ► Because of the non-stick coating in the pans 6, it is not necessary to re-grease them before every use.
10) Once you are finished using the appliance,
turn the temperature control 2 to 0 and pull the plug out of the power outlet. Grill Using the griddle 1, you can simultaneously grill meat, fish or vegetables to accompany the raclette.
1) Lightly oil the top side of the griddle 1.
2) After heating up, place the food onto the
griddle 1 and turn it occasionally as re- quired. ATTENTION! ► Do not use metal implements such as knives, forks, etc. when you remove food from the griddle 1 as they could damage the non- stick coating. 7 ■ Cleaning and care DANGER! ► Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the plug from the power outlet! There is a risk of electric shock! Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids! WARNING! ► Always allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning it. There is a risk of burns! ■ It is best to clean the appliance as soon as it has cooled down. This makes food residues easier to remove. ATTENTION! ► Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning materials. These can damage the surface of the appliance! ■ Wipe the appliance housing and the heat- ing elements with a moist cloth. If necessary, put a little mild detergent on the cloth and wipe this off afterwards with clear water. Dry everything properly. ■ The curved surface of the griddle 1 allows the juices to flow away and collect at the edges of the griddle 1. First use kitchen roll to remove any large remains from the cooled griddle 1. Clean the griddle 1, spatulas 7 and pans 6 in warm soapy water. Dry all the parts thoroughly after cleaning. Note The griddle 1 and spatulas 7 can also be washed in the dishwasher. Make sure that they do not get jammed in the dishwasher. Use the upper basket in the dishwasher if possible. Storage ■ Allow the cleaned appliance to cool down before putting it away. The empty pans 6 can be placed in the appliance for storage. ■ Store the cleaned appliance in a clean and dry location free of dust. Disposal Applies only to France: The product, its packaging and the operating instructions are recyclable. They are subject to an extended manufacturer responsibility and will be collected separately. Disposal of the appliance The adjacent symbol of a crossed- out dustbin means that this appliance is subject to Directive 2012/19/EU. This directive states that this appliance may not be disposed of in the normal household waste at the end of its useful life, but must be taken to specially set-up collection locations, recycling depots or disposal companies. If your old appliance has stored any personal data, you are responsible for deleting it yourself before returning it. Your local community or municipal authorities can provide information on how to dispose of the worn-out product. Disposal of the packaging The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease of disposal and are therefore recyclable. Dispose of packaging materials that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations. Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner. Note the labelling on the packaging and separate the packaging material components for disposal, if necessary. The packaging material is labelled with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meanings: 1–7: plastics, 20–22: paper and cardboard, 80–98: composites. If this product has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below. Warranty conditions The warranty period starts on the date of pur- chase. Please keep your receipt in a safe place. This will be required as proof of purchase. If any material or manufacturing fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you or refund the purchase price (at our discretion). This warranty service requires that you present the defective appliance and the proof of purchase (receipt) within the three-year warranty period, along with a brief written de- scription of the fault and of when it occurred. If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the beginning of a new warranty period. Warranty period and statutory claims for defects The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any dam- age and defects present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee. 9 ■ Scope of the warranty This appliance has been manufactured in accord- ance with strict quality guidelines and inspected meticulously prior to delivery. The warranty covers material faults or produc- tion faults. The warranty does not extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or to fragile parts which could be considered as consumable parts such as switches or parts made of glass. The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used or improperly maintained. The directions in the operating in- structions for the product regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned against must be avoided. This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes. The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use of force and modifica- tions / repairs which have not been carried out by one of our authorised Service centres.
