Frequently Asked Questions - Connect 310 UHD MARMITEK

What should I do if I have no picture or poor quality picture?
First check that all cables are properly connected and use certified HDMI High Speed cables. If the problem persists, test each source directly on the screen to isolate the source of the problem. Make sure the screen and sources support the same format and HDCP protection.
How do I power the switch if no source provides 5V?
Use the supplied USB cable to connect the switch to a USB port on a device or to a standard USB power adapter (not supplied).
Automatic switching does not work properly.
Automatic switching depends on the HDMI source. Some sources do not support this function and you must then manually select the input via the remote control or the 'Select' button. Also make sure that CEC is enabled on your devices if supported.
How do I manually switch between HDMI sources?
You can use the supplied remote control or press the 'Select' button on the front of the device to cycle through inputs.
Sound is not transmitted correctly, what should I do?
Check that your HDMI cables are High Speed and that your screen or amplifier supports the audio formats used (Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, etc.). The switch transmits all HDMI audio formats up to LPCM 7.1.
3D display does not work correctly.
Make sure the HDMI source is configured to output 3D and that your screen supports the same 3D format. Test the source directly on the screen with an HDMI cable to check proper operation.
The remote control no longer works, what should I do?
Remove the plastic tab from the battery compartment if not already done. Check that the battery (CR2025) is correctly inserted and not discharged. Replace if necessary. Make sure the IR receiver is clearly visible.
Can I use very long HDMI cables?
The maximum recommended length for HDMI cables is 15 meters. Beyond that, signal quality may degrade. Use certified High Speed cables with good shielding.
Does the switch heat up or is it suitable for installation in a closed cabinet?
The device is designed to operate between 0°C and +70°C. It produces little heat. You can install it in a closed cabinet ensuring that the IR receiver is placed outside or visible for the remote control.
What should I do if the picture flickers or disappears intermittently?
This may be due to a defective or poor quality HDMI cable. Try changing the cable. Make sure connections are firmly plugged in. Check that power via USB is sufficient, especially if multiple sources are turned on.

6. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

No (or poor) image and sound

If you experience poor or no picture after connecting the HDMI switcher, please try to identify the problem by connecting the devices to your screen (TV, monitor or projector) one by one. This allows you to determine whether the problem is with the HDMI sources, the HDMI cables, the HDMI switcher or the screen.

  • If none of your connected HDMI devices provides a 5V power supply via the HDMI cable, you need to power the HDMI switcher via the USB cable. Use the supplied USB power cable and plug it into any available USB port on your other devices, or use a standard USB power adapter.
  • For the best picture and sound quality, only use High Speed HDMI® certified cables.
  • Do not use HDMI cables longer than those specified in the technical data.
  • Check the HDMI cables and/or connectors for damage.
  • Both the HDMI source and your screen should fully support HDMI.
  • Check that your HDMI sources and screen support HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) copy protection.

Incorrect 3D display

  • Please check whether the HDMI source is set to display 3D and/or it is set to automatic.
  • Both the HDMI source and your HD screen should support the same 3D formats.
  • Please check that 3D is displayed correctly by connecting the HDMI source directly to the HD display with an HDMI cable.
