• Children are not aware of the dangers of electrical appliances. Never leave the appliance unattended during use. Therefore always keep the appliance outside the reach of children.

• The appliance needs to dissipate its heat in order to prevent re. Therefore it is vital to make sure that the appliance has suf cient clearance on all sides and cannot come into contact with ammable materials. The appliance may not be covered up.

• Do not use a metal scouring pad to clean the appliance. Fragments of metal could come loose and touch the appliance’s electrical parts causing it to short circuit.

• Before using for the rst time, operate the appliance for 10 minutes without any food. This in order to remove the “new”scent. A small amount of smoke may also be noticeable. Ventilate the room during this period.

Operation 1 Place the grill plate on the appliance and make sure that it is rmly seated. 2 If you want to prepare fondue, place the fondue pot in the middle of the grill plate and place the fondue fork holder over the fondue pot. 3 Switch on the appliance and heat the raclette by turning the thermostat knob to the MAX position. The red control light will illuminate. We recommend that you apply a layer of cooking oil to the grill plate. If fondue pot and grill plate are used, the raclette should be preheated for approx. 5 minutes. Note: If you are using the raclette for the rst time, there may be a slight smell and smoke. This should disappear after a few minutes and is normal. 4 When the appliance is preheated, put the ingredients in the raclette pans, on the grill plate and in the fondue pot. 5 Place the raclette pans on the heating base under the grill plate. Note: Do not preheat the pans and do not overll the pans. When making fondue, do not ll the fondue pot with ingredients beyond the MAX lling line. 6 Turn the thermostat knob to set the desired temperature. 7 During cooking, the red control light turns on and off to maintain the set temperature. Use the forks supplied to hold the ingredients in the fondue pot. 8 After use, turn the appliance off and unplug it from the wall outlet. The red control lamp goes out. Cooking tips

• To cook more evenly and quickly, cut raw meat into thin slices or small pieces. Always cook raw meat on the grill or stone plate and never in pans.

• Turn meat, sh, seafood and vegetables regularly when grilling. Cook the meat thoroughly.

• For more avour, marinate meat and vegetables before cooking when using the grill plate. Be careful as marinated foods fry faster. Never use oil or marinated ingredients on the stone plate as this can change the nat13

• Before cleaning the appliance, always make sure that the plug has been removed from the supply socket. Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning.

• The grill pan and the mini pans can be washed in hot soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Never use hard or sharp objects on the non-stick baking surface. The surface can be damaged easily by scratching.

• You can clean the exterior with a damp cloth and dry afterwards. Never immerse the appliance in water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, these can cause damage to the material.
