Before use make sure to read all of the below instructions in order to avoid injury or damage, and to get the best results from the appliance. Make sure to keep this manual in a safe place. If you give or transfer this appliance to someone else make sure to also include this manual.

In case of damage caused by user failing to follow the instructions in this manual the warranty will be void. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to follow the manual, a negligent use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.

1. Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
2. This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
3. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
4. Children shall not play with the appliance.
5. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
6. Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply

before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.

1. Warning: Potential risk of injuries from misuse.

2. Before inserting the plug into the mains socket, please check that the voltage and frequency comply with the specifications on the rating label.

3. If an extension cord is used it must be suited to the power consumption of the appliance, otherwise overheating of the extension cord and/or plug may occur. There is a potential risk of injuries from tripping over the extension cord. Be careful to avoid dangerous situations.

4. Do not continuously operate the blender too long. The motor may overheat. Do not operate the blender for more than 30 seconds at a time.

5. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and before cleaning.

6. Ensure that the mains cable is not hung over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.

7. Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids. There is danger to life due to electric shock!

8. To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord.

9. Do not touch the appliance if it falls into water. Remove the plug from its socket, turn off the appliance and send it to an authorized service center for repair.

10. Do not plug or unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet with a wet hand.

11. Never attempt to open the housing of the appliance, or to repair the appliance yourself. This could cause electric shock.

12. Never leave the appliance unattended during use.

13. This appliance is not designed for commercial use.

14. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.

15. Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils away from beaters or dough hooks, to reduce the risk of injury to person and/or damage to the hand mixer.
16. Never fit accessories with different functions at the same time (dough hooks and beaters etc.)
17. Remove accessories from hand mixer before washing.
18. The use of attachments or accessories not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
19. Do not wind the power cord around the appliance during storage. This could cause damage to the cord and lead to danger of short circuit, electric shock or fire.
20. The blades are sharp. Take great care when handling the blades.
21. Regarding the instructions for cleaning the surfaces which come in contact with food, speed settings and operating times, please refer to the below paragraph of the manual.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

1. Carefully unpack the appliance and remove all packaging material.
2. Wash the parts: see "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE".

CAUTION

1. This device is designed to handle average amounts of food. It can be used without interruption for a maximum of 30 seconds. After that, it should be allowed to cool for 1 minute otherwise it will overheat.
2. Disconnect the appliance from power supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
3. Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.
4. Only use your hand blender for its intended domestic use. Do not use it to crush ice.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE

1. Fit the blend rod/whisk/chopper cover onto the hand-held stick; turn and lock the blend rod/whisk/chopper cover properly (Make sure the triangle sign on the hand-held stick is pointing at the lock sign on the blend rod/whisk/chopper cover.)

1. For different tasks, choose different accessories. See blow instructions specifically. Keep the speed button pressed for operation. To turn off the device, simply release the button.

2. When the low speed is selected, you can also slide the variable speed selector to adjust the speed. The speed will gradually get higher when the selector is slid from left to right. However, this speed selector is ineffective when the turbo button is pressed, since the turbo speed is already the maximum. It's recommended to start with low speed to avoid splashing.

TO USE THE BLEND ROD

If you want to blend in a saucepan directly, take the pan off the heat and let it cool slightly. Otherwise your hand blender could overheat and you may be hurt by splashed hot liquid.

1. Fit the hand-held stick inside the blend rod, turn and lock.
2. Plug in. To avoid splashing, place the blade completely in the food before switching on.
3. Hold the container steady. Then select and press your desired speed.
4. Don't let liquid get above the join between the hand-held stick and blender shaft.
5. If your blender gets blocked, unplug before cleaning.
6. After use, unplug and dismantle.

TO USE THE CHOPPER

You can chop meat, cheese, vegetables, herbs, bread, biscuits and nuts.

Don't chop hard foods such as coffee beans, ice cubes, spices or chocolate, otherwise you will damage the blade.

1. Remove any bones and cut food into 1-2cm cubes.
2. Fit the chopper blade over the pin in the bowl.
3. Add your food.
4. Fit the chopper cover, make the grooves aligned.
5. Fit the hand-held stick, turn and lock. (Take reference with below line drawings for the chopper assembly.)
6. Plug in. Hold the bowl steady. Then select and press your desired speed.
7. After use, unplug and dismantle.

Caution:

• Don't touch the sharp blade.
• Remove the chopper blade before emptying the bowl.
• Never remove the cover until the blade has completely stopped.

TO USE THE WHISK

You can whip light ingredients such as egg whites, cream, instant desserts, eggs and sugar for whisked sponges.

Don't whisk heavier mixtures such as margarine and sugar, you'll damage the whisk.

Don't whisk more than 4 egg whites or 400ml (0.75pt) cream.

Don't let liquid get above the whisk wires.

1. Fit the hand-held stick inside the whisk collar, turn and lock.
2. Place your food in a bowl.
3. Plug in. To avoid splashing, start on low speed, move the whisk clockwise.
4. After use, unplug and dismantle.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Before cleaning, unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
2. Detach the blend rod/whisk/chopper from the hand-held stick. Wash the blend rod/whisk/chopper/measuring cup in water. Dry them thoroughly before assembling back.
3. Wipe the outer surface of the blender body with a damp cloth.
4. Never wash the motor housing in water or any other liquids.
5. Do not touch the sharp blades.
6. Do not wash any parts in a dishwasher.

RECYCLING

This product bears the selective sorting symbol for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).

This means that this product must be handled pursuant to European Directive 2012/19/EU in order to be recycled or dismantled to minimize its impact on the environment.

For further information, please contact your local or regional authorities.

Electronic products not included in the selective sorting process are potentially dangerous for the environment and human heath due to the presence of hazardous substances.

QUALITY

Safety and quality is very important to HEMA. We have our own laboratory, which assesses all equipment in terms of electrical safety and ease of use, before it is included in our range. HEMA also monitors the product quality in collaboration with the manufacturer.

SECURITY

This HEMA item may be fitted with a plastic anti-theft strip. You will find the strip on the bottom of the product. This strip does not influence the quality or the operation of the product and can be removed without a problem.

FAULTS AND REPAIRS

If this device needs to be repaired, you can hand it in at a HEMA branch after packing the product securely. Do not try to repair this product yourself. For repairs that fall within the warranty period, you will need to show a proof of purchase and the warranty document. Regularly check the power cord for damage. If there is any damage to the cord set, please return the item to a HEMA branch for repair. Do not try to replace it yourself. For safety reasons we recommend that you do not carry out any repairs to an electrical device yourself.

WARRANTY

The warranty period is 2 years from the date of purchase. Always keep your receipt in a safe place. It's handy if you take a picture of the receipt and save it somewhere. Then you will always have an easy-to-read receipt in your possession.

Warranty claims

If you wish to make a warranty claim, please return the product with proof of purchase to one of our stores. The store will determine whether to replace the product (with an identical or equivalent product), accept the product for repair within a reasonable period of time or refund the price of the product.

Invalidation of warranty

The warranty on this article is invalidated if the fault or defect is caused by:

a) normal wear and tear
b) external damage (for example, damage caused by exposure to sand or moisture or due to falling of the product, etc.)
c) improper or inappropriate use

d) overdue or incorrect maintenance, including repairs that were not authorised by HEMA The above list does not exclude other possible reasons for defects not being covered by the warranty.

You may swap or return the product within 30 days after purchase (provided it is undamaged and you have proof of purchase).
