3. DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE

Thermostat knob

The appliance is equipped with a thermostat knob with 5 browning levels. The higher the level, the browner the waffles will be. Of course, this also strongly depends on the dough you are using.

Indicator lights and sound signal

The appliance has a red and green indicator light. The red light will light up once the appliance is connected. As soon as the desired baking temperature is reached, the green LED will light up and you will hear the sound signal simultaneously. The same will happen again when your waffle is ready.

Measuring scoop

The measuring scoop, that comes with the top fill waffle maker WA 2224, ensures a perfect fill and prevents from overfilling.

Collection tray

The appliance is also equipped with a collection tray to gather any excess dough.

  • Completely unroll the power cord and plug in the appliance in a 230 V socket. The appliance should be closed. The red control lamp lights up when you plug in the appliance. NEVER plug in the appliance when the plates are removed.
  • Then turn the thermostat knob to the desired position. We recommend using position 5 for a nice golden brown waffle. If you prefer a lighter colour, you can of course set the appliance to a lower position.
  • ATTENTION: the appliance will now get hot. Only touch the thermostat knob and the handle.
  • In the meantime, fill the provided measuring scoop completely up to the brim with the liquid batter.
  • As soon as the desired temperature has been reached, the green control light will go on and you will hear the sound signal.
  • You can now pour the measuring scoop into the filling opening at the top of the waffle maker.
  • When your waffle is ready, you will hear the sound signal again and the green light will light up again.
  • Press the lock button and open the appliance slowly, so that the waffle does not fall out.
  • Remove the waffle with a special U-shaped fork. Insert this fork into the side of the waffle. In this way, you will not damage the non-stick coating of the baking plates, nor will you damage the waffle.
  • Close the appliance - you will hear a click from the lock - if the green light is still on, you can immediately bake the next waffle.
  • When you have finished baking, switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the socket. Allow the appliance to cool down completely before storing.

Tips for baking waffles with the top fill waffle maker:

• Always fill the measuring spoon completely and always use liquid waffle batter.
• Always wait until the green indicator light comes on before adding the dough to the waffle iron.
- Never open the waffle maker before you hear the sound signal.
- If you find that your waffles do not come off easily, you can rub a little oil on the baking plates (only for each first baking).
