Specied Conditions of Use The scarier is designed for scarifying and aerating small to medium lawn areas at homes and allotments. Aerator - designed for removing thatch (moss, leaves, weeds, etc.). Scarier - designed for treating turf and regenerating lawn and grass areas. The scarier must not be used for any other purposes as it may present a risk of physical injury to the user and others. Do not use this product in any other way as stated for normal use. Not observing general regulations in force and instructions from this manual does not make the manufacturer liable for damages. The scarier must not be used to trim bushes, hedges and shrubs, for cutting and shredding creepers or lawns on greened roofs or in balcony boxes. In addition, the scarier must not be used as a shredder for shredding tree and hedge cuttings or for levelling uneven surfaces. Requirements for operating sta The appliance may only be operated and maintained by persons familiarised with it and informed about possible risks. Qualication: Apart from the detailed instructions by aprofessional, no special qualication is necessary forappliance using. Minimum age: Persons over 18 years of age can only workon the appliance.An exception includes youngsters trained in order to reachknowledge under supervision of the trainer duringoccupational education. Local regulations may stipulate the minimum age of the user. Training: Using the appliance only requires corres- pondingtraining by a professional or the Operating Instructions. 4) Power tool use and care

a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct po- wer tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed. b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and o. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired. c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from thepower tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storingpower tools. Such pre- ventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally. d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of child- ren and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users. e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,breakage of parts and any other condition that may aect the power tool’soperation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools. f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control. g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Safety instructions for scariers Operation is only allowed with a safety switch against stray current (RCD max. stray current of 30mA). Extension cables must have a cable cross-section of at least 1.5 mm². We advise against the use of extension cables of dierent lengths and cross-sections and the use of adapters and multi-plugs. Do not operate the machine with bare feet or with open sandals. Use protective gloves when handling the blades. Only a regularly maintained and treated appliance can serve as a satisfactory aid. Insucient mainte- nance and care can lead to unforeseen accidents and injuries. Any damaged or disposed devices must be delivered to appropriate collection centres. Transport packaging disposal The packaging protects the machine against damage during transport. Packaging materials are usually chosen based on environment aspects and waste treatment principles and are therefore recyclable. Re- turning the packaging into material circulation saves22
