How to insert the battery into the Olympus EE1 accessory?

Insert a pen or a thin object into part (A) to open the battery compartment cover. Insert the CR2032 lithium battery with the correct orientation (positive side up) and close the cover.

How to attach the EE1 to my camera?

Slide the accessory onto your camera's hot shoe until it clicks into place. Make sure it is securely attached before use.

How to turn the EE1 on and off?

To turn on, press the open switch. To turn off, turn the brightness adjustment dial to OFF or lower the aiming system. The accessory then turns off automatically.

How to adjust the target brightness?

Use the target brightness adjustment dial (①) to adjust the intensity of the red beam according to lighting conditions.

How to position the target on the subject?

Turn the horizontal (②) and vertical (④) aiming positioning dials while observing your camera's screen to align the target on the subject.

What type of battery does the EE1 use?

The EE1 uses a CR2032 lithium battery. The supplied battery is for testing purposes only. Replace it with an identical battery.

What to do if the EE1 does not turn on?

Check that the battery is inserted correctly and is not discharged. Replace it if necessary. Also make sure the compartment cover is securely closed.

Is the EE1 compatible with all cameras?

No, some lenses and camera bodies may interfere with operation. Additionally, some lens hoods may obscure the target. Check the compatibility list or test before use.

What are the important safety precautions?

Inserting the Battery

Insert a pen or other object into part (A) and open the battery compartment cover (Figure 2). Insert the battery in the orientation shown and close the cover (Figure 3). The supplied battery is for test purposes only.

Use

Mount the product on the camera hot shoe (Figure 4). Press the pop-up switch to ready the sight and rotate the target brightness adjustment dial to adjust brightness. Rotating the dial to OFF turns the product off, as does returning the sight to the closed position. Use

the sight positioning dials to position the target while viewing the subject in the camera monitor.

Precautions for Use

• Do not use excessive force.
• When replacing the battery, be careful that water does not enter the battery compartment.
• Some lenses and cameras may interfere with operation when the device is attached. In addition, some lenses and hoods may obstruct the target.
