USER MANUAL VI 15107 X CATA
Before the installation and use of the appliance, carefully read the supplied instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible if an incorrect installation and use causes injuries and damages. Always keep the instructions with the appliance for future reference.
CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE PEOPLE SAFETY
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Do not let children play with the appliance.
- Keep all packaging away from children.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
GENERAL SAFETY
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
-Farm houses; staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
-By clients in hotels, motels, bed and breakfast and other residential type environments
- Use this appliance for storage of wine only.
- Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or in the built-in structure, clear of obstruction.
- Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
- Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
- Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliance, unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.
- Do not use water spray and steam to clean the appliance.
- Clean the appliance with a moist soft cloth. Only use neutral detergents. Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads, solvents or metal objects.
- Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a flammable propellant in this appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
SAFETYINSTRUCTIONS
INSTALLATION

WARNING!
Only a qualified person must install this appliance.
- Remove all the packaging.
- Do not install or use a damaged appliance.
- Obey the installation instruction supplied with the appliance.
- Always be careful when you move the appliance because it is heavy. Always wear safety gloves.
- Make sure the air can circulate around the appliance.
- Wait at least 4 hours before connecting the appliance to the power supply. This is to allow the oil to flow back in the compressor.
- Do not install the appliance close to radiators or cookers, oven or hobs.
- The rear of the appliance must stand against the wall.
- Do not install the appliance where there is direct sunlight.
- Do not install this appliance in areas that are too humid or too colds, such as the construction appendices, garages or wine cellars.
- When you move the appliance, lift it by the front edge to avoid scratching the floor.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

WARNING!
Risk of fire and electrical shock.
- The appliance must be earthed.
- All electrical connections should be made by a qualified electrician.
- Make sure that the electrical information on the rating plate agrees with the power supply. If not, contact an electrician.
- Always use a correctly installed shockproof socket.
- Do not use multi-plug adapters and extension cables.
- Make sure not to cause damage to the electrical components (e.g. mains plug, mains cable, compressor). Contact the Service or an electrician to change the electrical components.
- The mains cable must stay below the level of the mains plug.
- Connect the mains plug to the mains socket only at the end of the installation. Make sure that there is access to the mains plug after the installation.
- Do not pull the mains cable to disconnect the appliance. Always pull the mains plug.
USE

WARNING!
Risk of injury, burns, electrical shock or fire.
- Do not change the specification of this appliance.
- Do not put electrical appliances (e.g. ice cream makers) in the appliance unless they are stated applicable by the manufacturer.
- Be careful not to cause damage to the refrigerant circuit. It contains isobutane (R600a), a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility. This gas is flammable.
- If damage occurs to the refrigerant circuit, make sure that there are no flames and sources of ignition in the room. Ventilate the room.
- Do not let hot items to touch the plastic parts of the appliance.
- Do not put soft drinks in the freezer compartment. This will create pressure on the drink container.
- Do not store flammable gas and liquid in the appliance.
- Do not put flammable products or items that are wet with flammable products in, near or on the appliance.
- Do not touch the compressor or the condenser. They are hot.

- The type of lamp used for this appliance is not suitable for household room illumination
CARE AND CLEANING

WARNING!
Risk of injury or damage to the appliance.
- Before maintenance, deactivate the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.
- This appliance contains hydrocarbons in the cooling unit. Only a qualified person must do the maintenance and the recharging of the unit.
- Regularly examine the drain of the appliance and if necessary, clean it. If the drain is blocked, defrosted water collects in the bottom of the appliance.
DISPOSAL

WARNING!
Risk of injury or suffocation.
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains supply.

Cut off the mains cable and discard it.
-
Remove the lid to prevent children and pets to be closed inside of the appliance.
- The refrigerant circuit and the insulation materials of this appliance are ozone-friendly.
- The insulation foam contains flammable gas. Contact your municipal authority for information on how to discard the appliance correctly.
- Do not cause damage to the part of the cooling unit that is near the heat exchanger.



SWITCHING ON
To switch on the appliance follow these steps:
- Connect the mains plug to the power socket.
- Press the ON/OFF button if the display is off.
- The display shows the set default temperature (12^)
To select a different set temperature refer to "Temperature regulation".
SWITCHING OFF
To switch off the appliance follow these steps:
- Press the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds.
- The display switches off.
- To disconnect the appliance from the power disconnect the mains plug from the power socket.
TEMPERATURE REGULATION
The set temperature of the wine cellar may be adjusted by pressing the temperature regulators.
DAILYUSE
CLEANING
Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the interior and all internal accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap in order to remove the typical smell of a brand-new product, then dry thoroughly.
Each press once the or button, the temperature setting will increase or lower 1^ . When the temperature setting reach the upper limit 22^ and lower limit 5^ , the temperature setting will not increase or lower.

Do not use detergents or abrasive powders, as these will damage the finish.
WINE STORAGE (for 750 ml Bordeaux bottles)
The temperature can be adjusted between +5 and +22^ . That is ideal for wines.
The storage time for wine depends on ageing, the type of grapes, alcoholic content and level of fructose and tannin contained in it. At the time of purchase, check if the wine is already aged or if it will improve over time.
Preservation temperature suggested:
-- Champagne/Prosecco and Sparkling
wines +6 to +8°C
-- White Wines +10 to +12°C
-- Rose wines +12 to +16°C
-- Red Wines +14 to +18°C
VI15017X - To store up to 7 Bordeaux bottles (0.75 cl) placing 1 bottles on each shelf.
VI30017X - To store up to 17 Bordeaux bottles (0.75 cl) placing 3 bottles on level 2/3/4/5, placing 5 bottles on the level 1.

- With humid box (Optional)
Inside the wine cooler, there is a humid box on the top shelf. Pour some water into the box can prevent the air humidity is too low. The top shelf can switch postions with other shelves. The humid box can be removed. The top shelf with humid box can place 2 bottles and without the humidity can place 3 bottles.

- Removing shelves (Optional)
To remove any of the shelves from the rail compartment, move the shelf to the position where the notch of wooden shelf is exactly under the plastic post and then lift it up and out.
In order to replace the shelf, repeat steps described above in reverse.
INSTALLATION
POSITIONING
Adequate air circulation should be around the appliance, to prevent overheating. To achieve sufficient ventilation follow the instructions relevant to installation.
Install this appliance at a location where the ambient temperature corresponds to the climate class indicated on the rating plate of the appliance:

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

WARNING!
This appliance must be earthed.
The manufacturer declines any liability should these safety measures not be observed.

CAUTION!
Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.
Consult a qualified electrician or service technician if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded.
Before plugging in, ensure that the voltage and frequency shown on the rating plate correspond to your domestic power supply.

WARNING!
We recommend that you wait 4 hours before connecting and installing the appliance to allow the refrigerant to flow back into the compressor.
The appliance must be grounded.
The power supply cable plug is provided with a contact for this purpose.
If the domestic power supply socket is not grounded, connect the appliance to a separate ground in compliance with current regulation.
Consult a qualified electrician.
INSTALLATION DIMENSIONS (MM) AND VENTILATION REQUIREMENTS



INSTALLING THE UPPER BRACKET
Use two screws to install the upper bracket on the top of wine cooler, then push wine cooler into cabinet and use two screws to fix the upper bracket on the cabinet. Below drawing for reference.

LEVELING (Optional)
When placing the appliance ensure that it stands level. This can be achieved by two adjustable feet at the bottom In front.
DOOR REVERSIBILITY (Optional)
The side at which the door opens can be changed from the right side (as supplied) to the left side.

WARNING!
Before carrying out any operations, remove the plug from the power socket.
Before carrying out any operations, please be sure that the appliance is empty. If not, please move all goods into right temperature for proper food storage reason.

CAUTION!
To carry out the following operations, we suggest that this be made with another person that will keep a firm hold on the doors of the appliance during the operations.
If the installation site requires. Tools you will need:
- Cross-shaped screwdriver
- Putty knife or thin-blade screw driver

Before you start lay the wine cooler on its back in order to gain access to the base, you should rest it on soft foam packaging or similar material to avoid damaging the cooling pipes at the rear of the wine cooler.
- Stand the wine cooler, open the door and remove the shelves and close it (preventing the shelves are damaged).
- Remove the bottom hinge by unscrewing the four lock screws. Be careful to hold the glass door firmly after removing the screws.

- Gently remove the upper door and set it on a non scratching surface with the outside up to avoid the risk of damage.

NOTE: When removing the door, watch for washer(s) between the ceter hinge and the bottom of the freezer door that may stick to the door. Do not lose.
- Unscrew the upper hinge which at the top right corner of the wine cooler, and then use a putty knife or thin blade screwdriver to prize the screw hole cover which at the left side corner of the wine cooler, re-cover the screw holes on the right hand side.



- Screw the alternative left top hinge (included in the fittings) to the top left corner of the wine cooler and tighten securely.

- Rotate the door 180^ and then relocate the door to the designated position. Then screw the bottom hinge assembly on the left designated position and tighten it after the door is leveled.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

CAUTION!
Reposition, level the appliance, wait for at least four hours and then connect it to the power socket.
This appliance contains hydrocarbons in its cooling unit; maintenance and recharging must therefore only be carried out by authorized technicians.
PERIODIC CLEANING
The equipment has to be cleaned regularly:
Do not pull, move or damage any pipes and/or cables inside the cabinet. Never use detergents, abrasivepowders, highly perfumed cleaning products or wax polishes to clean the interior as this will damage the surface and leave a strong odour.
- Wash the inside surfaces with a warm water and baking soda solution. The solution should be about 2 tablespoons of baking soda to a quart of water.

CAUTION!
Unplug the appliance before carrying out any maintenance operation.
- Wring excess water out of the sponge or cloth when cleaning area of the controls, or any electrical parts.

Wash the outside cooler with warm water and mild liquid detergent.
-
Regularly check the door seals and wipe clean to ensure they are clean and free from debris.
- Rinse and dry thoroughly.
Take care of not to damage the cooling system.
After cleaning, reconnect the equipment to the mains supply.
CHANGING THE LIGHT BULB
Warning! If the LED lamp is faulty, DO NOT CHANGE IT YOURSELF.
If the LED lamp is changed by a person who is not qualified to do so, there is a risk of injury and there could be serious malfunctions.
The LED lamp must be replaced by an expert in order to prevent any damage.
Speak Your local Service Force Centre.
PERIODS OF NON-OPERATION
When the appliance is not in use for long periods, take the following precautions:
- disconnect the appliance from electricity supply.
- remove all items.
- clean the appliance and all accessories.
- leave the door open to prevent unpleasant smells.
The Wine cellar should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat producing appliances, and out of the direct sunlight.
POWER FAILURE
Most power failures are corrected within a few hours and should not affect the temperature of your appliance if you minimize the number of times the door is opened. If the power is going to be off for a longer period of time, you need to take the proper steps to protect your contents.
TROUBLESHOOTING
You can solve many common Wine cellar problems easily, saving you the cost of a possible service call. Try the suggestions below to see if you can solve the problem before calling the servicer.
