On the front of the heating you will see a safety switch. If you pull out the heating element while the fryer is still on, the safety switch will shut the element of. This also means that you can not use the heating element when it is not placed or not placed correctly in the retaining slots.

  • Note: during and after frying it is possible that drops of condensated water fall into the hot oil. The hard noise you can hear, is the reaction of the water with the oil/fat and is normal. It does not influence the use of the fryer.
  • Note: Battered or coated food, like fish, may stick to the basket. To prevent this, lower the basket and than place the food in the fryer.
  • Never salt the product before or during cooking. This will soil the oil.
  • For the best results it is advisable not to fry with a full basket, maximum 450 to 500 grams. Fry frozen products in even smaller portions, because they contain more water and cause the oil to cool down too much.
  • If you make your own fries, dry them thoroughly after washing to make sure there will be no water in the oil. Fry the fresh fries in two times. The first time (pre- cooking) 5 to 10 minutes on 170 degrees. Lift the basket, let the oil drain and let the fries cool down for several minutes. For the second time turn the temperature control (cooking) to 190 degrees and cook the fries in 2 to 4 minutes. Lift the basket after frying and let the oil drain. After plugging the fryer in and when the P for preheating stops blinking you can add the desired quantity of food to the basket. Do not add too much food at one time (never more than 2/3). Food should be as dry as possible to reduce the amount of water getting into the oil. Shake the ice o of frozen products above the sink. Lower the basket slowly into the oil. If you lower too fast the oil can splash. Press the START/STOP button if you have selected a program. Always fry without the lid. This prevents the fryer from overheating and an automatic shutdown. At the same time it ensures a crispier result. When the frying time has reached 00:00 the fryer will beep for 2 seconds every 15 seconds, indicating that the time has stopped and the food is deepfried. Press the START/STOP button to reset the program and lift the basket out of the oil. Carefully shake the excessive fat of and hang the basket on the hook in the reservoir to drain the oil. Take the basket out of the fryer and serve the food. Place the basket back. 7 | TIPS 5 | FRYING When you have finished frying, make sure you have pressed the START/STOP button the end the program and pull the plug from the socket. Only store the handle when the oil is fully cooled down. Ensure the handle is folded back before operating the fryer again! 6 | AFTER FRYING Let the fryer cooldown for several hours before moving the fryer. If you want to move the fryer always use both hands. 8 | SAFETY SWITCHESEnsure that the parts are dried thoroughly after cleaning. Clean the exterior of the fryer with a damp cloth and when needed a mild detergent. Never use any abrasives! Never immerse the power cord or plug in water or other liquids. To clean the reservoir you can also use the AQUA CLEAN program. Select the AQUA CLEAN program with the SELECT button. This menu is used to clean the inside of the fryer and the actual heating element. Fill the bowl with hot water just above the MAX indication and add a cleaning agent. The temperature of this menu is fixed at 100°C for a time of 30 minutes. When this menu is selected the user can use the START/ STOP button to start the countdown timer at once. Preheat is not needed. If the START/STOP button is pressed when the counter is counting down the time will stop. OIL CHANGE The fryer is equipped with an oil indicator indicating the number of frying times which can be considered as healthy. Every time the fryer is plugged in the oil indicator value will be decreased with 1 time. When the oil indicator indicates OIL0 it indicates the last frying time which can be considered as healthy. When the oil indicator indicates OIL- it indicates to the user that the oil should be renewed. Because the number of frying times, which are considered as healthy, depend on the type of frying oil it is possible for the user to manually set the number of healthy frying

times. The oil indicator can be set from 0 to 9 by the user ONLY during startup of the fryer. Before changing or filtering the oil, always unplug the fryer and let it cool down completely. The liquid frying oil can be used longer, if you filter it regularly. Replace the liquid frying oil regularly, after 8 to 12 times. Filter the liquid frying oil only when it is cold. Pour the oil in a clean bowl. Clean the reservoir with hot water and a mild detergent or in the dishwasher. Thoroughly dry the reservoir. Pour the liquid frying oil back in the reservoir through a fine sieve. Check each time if the level of the liquid frying oil is between the minimum and maximum level. When replacing the oil, follow the same steps as described before. Liquid frying oil can be poured back in the bottles. Never wash away fat or oil through the sink.D E U T S C H
