Install the appliance several times without plugging it or adding any fruits or vegetables. Follow these steps to practice with the unit. Carefully wash all the parts that will come in touch with food such as the two containers, the chamber, the lid, the micro-mesh filter and the auger. Other accessories with electrical parts, such as the main unit, must be cleaned with a damp cloth and dry immediately.
OPERATING THE UNIT
- Perform the installation according to the instructions in the previous paragraph.
- Wash, clean and cut fruits or vegetables coarsely, taking care to remove the hard parts such as the pit or large seeds.
- To switch on the unit, push ON on the power button.
- Insert fruits into the slot pushing them gently with the presser (1).
- The slow juicer will pour the juice into the glass discarding the pulp in the container.
- Enter foods until you get the desired amount of juice.
CAUTION: Do not use for more than 10 minutes continuously. Remember to take a 5 minutes break after every full process.
TIPS FOR A CORRECT USE
- If the machine stops or becomes jammed during use, immediately turn it off as some residue may have blocked the auger. To fix the problem, activate the REVERSE mode by pressing and holding “R” button for 5 seconds. Operate again as usual to check if the appliance woks normally.
- If during use the machine doesn't make any waste, even if you keep putting fruit, probably the waste outlet is stuck. Pour out all the juice from the container and clean waste outlet manually.
- Do not force the food through the opening on the crushing chamber, but place it gently.
- With the juice cap, you can store and mix your juices in the chamber and easily release the exact amount of juice without making any mess or waste.
- If you keep the juice outlet closed, thanks to the filter with mixing system (4), you can mix different juices in the container, to have a better result.
- It is not necessary to disassemble and wash the chamber during each juicing session. Simply close the juice cap, pour clean water into the running juicer and let it spin for 15-20 seconds. Turn off the appliance and open the juice cap and discharge the water and the residues.
CLEANING
CAUTION: Unplug the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Do not immerse the motor unit in water, but wash it with a damp cloth and non-abrasive detergent. Also avoid any infiltration of water into the motor housing.
- All removable parts (such as the containers, the auger, top cover, fruit presser, filter and chamber) can be treated like normal dishes, washed with non-abrasive sponge and mild detergent. Dry completely before assembling the unit again.
