How to install the Bimar Z28 mosquito killer?

After removing the packaging, check that the appliance is complete. Hang it or place it on a stable, horizontal surface, away from any heat source, flammable materials (curtains, tapestries) and gas. Plug it into a mains socket accessible in case of emergency. Respect a height of 1.5 to 2.5 m and a safety distance of at least 50 cm around the appliance.

What is the ideal height to place the appliance?

The recommended height is between 1.5 and 2.5 meters. This height optimizes insect attraction while remaining out of reach of children. Place it in a poorly ventilated and poorly lit area so that insects are attracted only by the appliance's light.

How to clean the mosquito killer?

Before any cleaning, unplug the appliance. Clean the structure with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use steel wool, abrasive products, and never immerse the appliance in water. For the grid mesh, use a brush (not supplied) avoiding metal tools. Periodically empty the collection tray.

What to do if the lamp no longer works?

The lamp is not replaceable. If it no longer works, the appliance must be disposed of in accordance with current regulations (WEEE directive). Do not attempt to replace it yourself.

Can I use the appliance outdoors?

How to empty the collection tray?

First unplug the appliance. The round collection tray is inside the insect killer. To empty it, turn the drawer counterclockwise and remove it. Empty the dead insects and put it back. This operation should be carried out regularly, every 2 to 3 days.

Never touch the internal grid mesh (dangerous voltage). Do not cover the appliance while in operation. Keep it out of reach of children. INSTALLATION

• After unpacking, check that all parts have been included; if in doubt, do not use and contact a qualified technician. The packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene, nails, etc.) must not be left within reach of children, as they constitute possible sources of danger and must be disposed of according to applicable regulations in the appropriate recycling containers.

• Before plugging in the device, ensure that the details on the identification plate (power, etc...) correspond to those of your power supply. The use of adaptors, multiple plug points or extensions is generally not advisable; if it is necessary to use them, they must conform with safety regulations and the total current (amps) must not be rated lower than the maximum current of the the appliance.

• Before each use, check that the equipment is in good condition, that the wiring is not damaged: if in doubt consult a qualified professional.

• The socket must be easily accessible so as to easily remove the plug in case of an emergency.
• Hang the indoor unit through the appropriate hook; otherwise, place it on a flat, stable, horizontal surface. Place it away from other heat sources, sharp edges, windows, flammable materials (curtains, upholstery, etc.) flammable gas or spray cans.
• Verify that the device has at least 50cm free space around. Be sure there is space around the unit for air to circulate.
• We recommend to place the mosquito net at a height between 1,5m and 2,5m . in a poorly ventilated area and a dimly or dark room so that the insects are attracted only by the lamps of the mosquito net.
• Ensure that the power cable is correctly positioned and does not come into contact with hot parts, or become wound around the device itself and is not twisted.
• In case of breakdown or malfunction switch off the appliance and have it checked by a qualified technician.

USE

Before each use, verify that the unit is in good condition, the electric cord is not damaged, if the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a competent qualified electrician or a person with similar qualifications, in order to avoid any risk.

Inserting the plug into the power socket, the lamp turn on: the light attracts the insects and the electric shock kills them when they fly inside the grid. In this way, they fall into the suitable round container at the base device. To clean it, remove the plug from the current socket and rotate it in anti-hour movement. To switch off remove the plug from the socket.

When not in use for long periods, the plug must always be removed from the socket.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Warning: before cleaning the appliance always unplug the appliance from the mains.

• To clean the body of the mosquito net, use a soft cloth lightly moistened with water: do not use steel wool or abrasive products, do not use water or any other liquid and do not dip.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid; do not wash it under running water or in a dishwasher.
• Check periodically (about every 2 or 3 days) or more often if the device operates in areas infested with insects that the mosquito net and all its parts in particular the meshes of the grid are kept clear and clean. This must always be performed after disconnecting the plug from the socket. Insects must be removed using a

brush (not supplied): avoid using tools such as screwdrivers. Also the collection container must be emptied periodically.

• The lamp of the insect killer cannot be replaced, the appliance should be disposed when the lamp not function.
• When the appliance is not in use, store it in a dry place.
• If you decide to no longer use the device, it is recommended that it is made inoperative by cutting the power cable (first ensure that the appliance has been unplugged from the power supply), and to make harmless those parts that are dangerous if used for play by children (e.g. lamp).

At the end of its lifespan, the product must not be disposed of as part of ordinary waste.

It can be handed in to specific collection points set up by the local authorities, or to retailers who provide such a service.
