Operation and safety notes
Safety instructions n WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE AND RISK OF ACCIDENT FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN! Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. There is a danger of suffocation. Keep children away from the product. n WARNING! Never leave children unsupervised near hot cooking equipment. n WEAR SAFETY GLOVES! The product gets very hot during cooking. For your safety please therefore use pot holders or oven gloves. n Take caution with hot oil or fat! Do not carry the product containing hot oil or fat through the kitchen. n Do not extinguish burning fat with water, instead suffocate the flames with a blanket or use a fire extinguisher. n Do not rinse the product with cold water. n Do not heat up the product when empty. n Heat up the product at a moderate temperature. Overheating the product will damage the non-stick coating. n Do not slide or drag the product across a glass ceramic hob. n Do not scrape or slice in the product. Use wooden or plastic utensils. n FOOD SAFE! This product has no adverse effect on taste or smell. n For optimal energy use, the cooking zone should be the same size as the base of the product and the product should be placed in the centre of the cooking zone. Only place the product on the cooking zone when the base is dry.l Before first use n Boil water in the product two to three times and clean it with a little washing-up liquid. n Then, grease the inside with some cooking oil. Repeat this process from time to time. Note: Loose screws in the lid can be re-tightened using a household screwdriver or another suitable tool. Note: The effective base diameter of the product is 23.3 x 10.5 cm.
Use on induction hobs n Do not overheat the product. If it has been overheated, ventilate the area well. n Cooking on induction hobs may result in a buzzing noise. This noise arises for technical reasons and does not indicate a fault with your hob or the product. It does not affect the cooking performance.
Cleaning and care n Allow the product to cool down properly after use before cleaning it. n Never use a scouring pad or abrasive products for cleaning. n Clean the product after every use with hot water, washing-up liquid and a sponge. n The product is dishwasher safe. n Repeatedly cleaning the product with an aggressive dishwashing detergent in the dishwasher will corrode the inner and outer coating.
Disposal The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities. Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.
