How to use the wok for the first time?

Boil water two to three times in the wok, clean it with a little washing-up liquid, then lightly oil the inside. Repeat this process before each use to prevent sticking.

Is the wok compatible with induction hobs?

Yes, the wok is suitable for induction. A slight hum may be heard, which is normal and does not affect cooking performance.

Can I use the wok in the oven?

No, the wok is not suitable for the oven. The maximum heat resistance of the wok is 250 °C, but it is not designed for use in an oven.

How to clean the wok?

Let it cool completely, then wash it by hand with hot water and a little washing-up liquid using a non-abrasive sponge. It is also dishwasher safe.

What to do if the wok discolours?

Discolouration is normal and does not affect quality. To remove it, rub with half a lemon or a solution of water and vinegar (9 parts water to 1 part vinegar essence).

What is the capacity of the wok?

The wok has a capacity of approximately 5 litres, ideal for cooking for several people.

Can I use metal utensils in the wok?

It is better to use plastic or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the surface. Avoid cutting or scraping directly in the wok.

How to avoid overheating the wok?

Do not heat the wok empty and do not overheat it. Use medium temperature. In case of overheating, ventilate the room well. Never pour cold water on a hot wok.

How to use the provided draining rack?

- Intended use

This product is suitable for cooking foods on gas, electric, ceramic, halogen and induction hobs. The product is only intended for private use.

WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE AND RISK OF ACCIDENT FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN! Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material.

There is a danger of suffocation. Keep children away from the product.

WARNING! Never leave children unsupervised near hot cooking equipment.
■ WEAR SAFETY GLOVES! The product gets very hot during cooking. For your safety please therefore use pot holders or oven gloves.
Take caution with hot oil or fat! Do not carry the product containing hot oil or fat through the kitchen.
During cooking it is extremely important not to lose sight of the product while you are heating grease in it. Grease can overheat very quickly and ignite. Do not place meat which is still dripping with a hot hob could easily cause a fire.
Do not extinguish burning fat with water, instead suffocate the flames with a blanket or use a fire extinguisher.
- Do not rinse the product with cold water.
Do not heat up the product when empty.
Do not slide or drag the product across a glass ceramic hob.
Do not scrape or slice in the product. Use wooden or plastic utensils.
Heat up the product at a moderate temperature.
Do not overheat the product. If it has been overheated, ventilate the area well.
High temperatures may discolour the exterior of the product. This does not indicate faulty material, nor does it impair the product's quality or function.

FOOD SAFE! This product has no adverse effect on taste or smell.
For optimal energy use, the cooking zone should be the same size as the base of the product and the product should be placed in the centre of the cooking zone. Only place the product on the cooking zone when the base is dry.

- Before first use

• Boil water in the product two to three times and clean it with a little washing-up liquid.
  ■ Then wet the inside with a little cooking oil or cooking fat. Repeat this process before each use.
• You can place cooked foods down on the supplied rack to keep them hot or allow them to drip. The rack fits on to the top of the wok.

Note: Loose screws can be re-tightened using a household screwdriver or another suitable tool.

Note: The effective base diameter of the product is 18,3 cm.

- Use on induction hobs

- Cooking on induction hobs may result in a buzzing noise. This noise arises for technical reasons and does not indicate a fault with your hob or the product. It does not affect the cooking performance.

- Cleaning and care

• Allow the product to cool down properly after use before cleaning it.
• Never use a scouring pad or abrasive products for cleaning.
• Clean the product after every use with hot water, washing-up liquid and a sponge.
  ■ The product is dishwasher safe.
  In time, could give rise to stains or discolorations on the product. You can get rid of them by rubbing half a lemon over them. More stubborn stains can be removed with a mixture of nine parts water to one part vinegar essence.

- Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

- Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you.

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.

The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass parts.
