USER MANUAL CEGR1500B CONTINENTAL EDISON
Please read these Instructions carefully to get the best results from your appliance.
- Before connecting the appliance, please check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance in accordance with the main voltage in your home.
- Please locate the appliance accessible to the power socket.
Warning: This appliance must be earthed.
- Keep the appliance away from children.
- The socket used should be in accordance with the plug of the appliance.
- Make sure that the power switch is off before plugging.
- Keep minimum 15cm away from the wall during operation in order to avoid the risk of fire!
- The surface is hot when using or before cooled. Never touch the appliance before it's cooled to avoid scald.
- Do not use outdoors. This product is for household use only.
- Wipe out the water on the hot plate carefully in time. Do not touch the surface of the hot plate in order to avoid scald.
- Before first use, please checkcarefully if all the parts of the appliance are in good condition. If not, please contact your dealer.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or touch a hot surface.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. - If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
Note: The appliance may produce some smoke when using it for the first time. This is normal.
- Remove any packaging material and wipe the appliance with a soft damp cloth.
- During operation the appliance surface will become hot, it is recommended to put the appliance on a flat heat-proof surface. We also recommended that the minimum distance between the wall surfaces to the appliance is at least 15cm .
- Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
- Important: The cooking plate will be very hot. Caution should be taken to
prevent the hands from contacting with the plate.

When first use, drop some oil on the surface of plate then wipe it with dry cloth.

Place the grill horizontally on the table, plug in and the power indicator comes on.

Put top switch at the position "l", the switch indicator and the top heating indicator come on, the top plate starts heating; put bottom switch at the position "l", the switch indicator and the bottom heating indicator come on, the bottom plate starts heating. (When only one plate (top/bottom) is needed, you can choose to turn off one switch.)

Pre-heating time is 3-5minutes, so that the plates reach to the operating temperature, when the plate is hot enough to cook, the work indicator goes off, which means you're ready to start cooking.

The recipe about the timing for different food is for reference only.

There are 3 positions of the top heating plate: fully close/ half open/ fully open. (shows as picture), you can adjust one of the positions you need.

If you want to use the appliance in fully open position, you can open the top plate in half open position first, then lift it up a bit, and put it down in fully open position, let it at the same horizontal level with bottom plate (show as fully open picture).

The grill heats intermittently during work to maintain a constant temperature, the heating indicators present the status of the heating elements are under working or not. So the state of the heating indicator is not directly related to the food.

In order not to destroy the plating, when turning or moving food, make sure a wooden shovel is used.

When cooking is finished, put the switch to "O" position, the heating indicator and the switch indicator go off.
14.Unplug the power from the socket.
RECIP
This product does not have automatic timing function, you need to refer to the cooking time according to the recipe, you can also control it through experience.
This recipe is for reference only.
Food cooking time is related to voltage, air temperature, and food materials, soft or hard, size, etc., and can be reasonably adjusted according to the actual situation.
- Important: Unplug and allow it to cool before cleaning. Never immerse the machine in water or any other liquid.
- NOTE: When removing the plug from the wall socket, be sure to grab the entire plug and do not pull the cord.
- Clean the plate when it is lukewarm with a soft, moist paper cloth or towel or a soft sponge.

Do not immerse the machine into water or other liquids.

For dirt residue, once the plate is cooled, clean the plate with a soft sponge, moistened with a non-abrasive kitchen cleaner and hot water.
- Only wipe the housing with a moist sponge, dry afterwards, if necessary. Do not clean it in the dishwasher.
- The plate is covered with a non-stick surface, so be careful when handling it.
- Do NOT use sharp metal utensils or knives to cut food on the surface of the plate. Avoid the sharp point to contact with the plate as it will damage the non-stick surface.
