ENGLISH: SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The following are important notes on the installation, use and maintenance; save this instruction manual for future reference; use the equipment only as specified in this guide; any other use is considered improper and dangerous; therefore, the manufacturer cannot be held responsible in the event of damages caused by improper, incorrect or unreasonable use.

Before use, ensure the equipment is undamaged; if in doubt, do not attempt to use it and contact the authorized service center; do not leave packing materials (i.e. plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, staples, etc.) within the reach of children as they are potential sources of danger; always remember that they must be separately collected. Make sure that the rating information given on the technical label are compatible with those of the electricity grid; the installation must be performed according to the manufacturer's instructions considering the maximum power of the appliance as shown on the label; an incorrect installation may cause damage to people, animals or things, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible thereof.

If it is necessary to use adapters, multiple sockets or electrical extensions, use only those that comply with current safety standards; in any case do not exceed the power consumption limits indicated on the electrical adapter and / or extensions, as well as the maximum power shown on multiple adaptor.

Do not leave the unit plugged; better to remove the plug from the mains when the device is not in use. Always disconnect from power supply if you leave it unattended. Cleaning operations should be carried out after unplugging the unit.

If the unit is out of order and you do not want to fix it, it must be made inoperable by cutting power cord.

- Do not allow the power cord to get closer to sharp objects or in contact with hot surfaces; do not pull it to disconnect the plug.

- Do not use the appliance in the event of damage to the power cord, plug, or in case of short circuits; to repair the product only address an authorized service center.

- Do not handle or touch the appliance with wet hands or bare feet. Do not expose the appliance to harmful weather conditions such as rain, moisture, frost, etc.. Always store it in a dry place.

If the power cord is damaged, or in case of failure and / or malfunction do not tamper with the unit. The reparation

must be done by manufacturer or by service center authorized by the manufacturer in order to prevent any risk. Failure to comply with the above may compromise the unit safety and invalidate the warranty.

WARNING: This appliance includes heating function. Surfaces, other than functional surfaces may develop high temperatures. Since temperatures are perceived differently by different people, this device should be used with CAUTION. Hold the appliance exclusively to grip surfaces intended to be touched.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Before using for the first time, carefully wash all the parts that will come in touch with food.

CAUTION: install the appliance correctly before starting operations. Unplug the unit before touching any attachments.

Never leave the appliance unattended while it is running. Unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet after each use. Allow the product to cool down before disassembling or cleaning.

Place the unit on a flat and stable surface and where there is sufficient ventilation.

Do not unstall near electric or gas cooktops and away from the oven; place the appliance close to the power outlet to avoid the use of extension cords.

CAUTION: Use with caution during use, because the product contains potentially dangerous hot oil.

We recommend not moving the appliance when it contains hot oil and let it cool before emptying the reservoir or cleaning it.

Check that the product is OFF before connecting the appliance to the electrical outlet. To turn off, switch the knob to OFF and then unplug it from the electrical outlet socket.

Do not use without oil.

Make sure the basket is properly assembled before turning on the product.

When finished using the unit, wrap the power cord so as to ensure a better cleaning.

Always follow the instructions in section "Cleaning".

Do not immerse the electrical cord or plug in water or other liquids; Use a damp cloth to clean.

CAUTION: Remove protective plastic and every element of the packaging, before proceeding.

Thoroughly clean the parts that will be in contact with food, such as the basket and the interior of the appliance. Use a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before use. Mount and dismount the appliance for some times, in order to take confidence with the parts. Do not immerse power cord or plug in water or other liquids.

MOUNTING

1. Insert oil container (12) in the base (11).

2. Take the housing (10) with the handle (7) and connect it to the base (11). To do this, insert the links present on housing (10) in the holes present on base (11).

Do correctly this operation: if housing is not well connected to the base, a safety switch will inhibit the functioning of the heating element.

1. Mount the handle (5) to the basket (9). In the internal part of basket there are 2 holes: insert the 2 pins present in the handle (5) inside the holes, then pull strongly the handle until it blocks.
2. Insert the basket in the oil container, and close the lid (3).

OPERATING THE UNIT

CAUTION: Do not turn on the fryer without oil in the reservoir.

1. Place the unit on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface.
2. Open the lid (3) and remove the basket (9), using the handle (5).
3. Fill the reservoir with cooking oil (3 liters) between MIN and MAX level mark.
4. Spread a little of oil on the view window (2) to prevent condensation during use.
5. After making sure that the power knob (7) is set to OFF, connect the power cable to compatible electric outlet. The Power light (6) will switch ON.
6. Set the desired temperature using the regulator (8). At the switch on also the temperature light (4) turns on. Once you have reached the desired temperature, the green light will turn off (TEMP).
7. Put food in the basket, immerse the basket in oil and close the lid (3).

CAUTION: Do not immerse the frozen food with crystal ice on it.

1. Once finished, open the lid (3) and lift the basket (9) using the handle (5); place the basket over the container (12) using the support on the basket. Allow to drain the oil in excess directly into the basket for a few seconds, then roll out the foods and let them dry on paper towels before serving.

NOTE: The table is for guidance only. It is therefore recommended to adjust temperature and cooking times by referring to the weight, thickness and type of storage of food to be cooked, constantly checking the state of cooking and always referring to your own experience and taste.

CLEANING

WARNING: Turn the power knob to OFF and unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet before cleaning.

• Do not immerse the housing (10) in water, but wash it with a damp cloth and non-abrasive detergent. Also avoid any infiltration of water inside the motor unit.
• All parts except heating element and housing (10) can be washed like every day crockery with non-abrasive sponge and dish detergent. Dry them completely before you assembling the motor unit again.
