ENGLISH: SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The following are important notes on the installation, use and maintenance; save this instruction manual for future reference; use the equipment only as specified in this guide; any other use is considered improper and dangerous; therefore, the manufacturer cannot be held responsible in the event of damages caused by improper, incorrect or unreasonable use. Before use, ensure the equipment is undamaged; if in doubt, do not attempt to use it and contact the authorized service center; do not leave packing materials (i.e. plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, staples, etc.) within the reach of children as they are potential sources of danger; always remember that they must be separately collected. Make sure that the rating information given on the technical label are compatible with those of the electricity grid; the installation must be performed according to the manufacturer's instructions considering the maximum power of the appliance as shown on the label; an incorrect installation may cause damage to people, animals or things, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible thereof. If it is necessary to use adapters, multiple sockets or electrical extensions, use only those that comply with current safety standards; in any case do not exceed the power consumption limits indicated on the electrical adapter and / or extensions, as well as the maximum power shown on multiple adaptor.9 Do not leave the unit plugged; better to remove the plug from the mains when the device is not in use. GENERAL INFORMATION At first use, the grills may emit some smoke. Do not worry since after few uses the smoke will disappear. At first use, clean the parts that will be in contact with food (ie the cooking grills). To avoid risks of burns, after turning on the unit, avoid touching the slots as they become very hot. Handle with care freshly-cooked food. Always fill the tray with water (min 150 cc, max 300cc). Caution: Do not overfill the tray because hot water may fall out. Only touch handles and temperature knob when unit is on. Do not put wrapped food on the grill. For better cooking, defrost foods before cooking. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is running. Once the foods are placed on the plate, handle them only11 with wooden cutlery, taking care not to scrape the non- stick surface. Do not immerse the power supply in water or other liquids. Do not leave it under the jet of tap water. Use soft sponges for cleaning, categorically avoiding metal sponges. The plate can be cleaned with the most common dishwashing detergents. Once finished using unit, unplug it and wait for complete cooling of each part before cleaning. Place the unit on a stable and heat- resistant shelf. When the unit is working, leave enough space on both side of the appliance. Do not use as a shelf support for objects. Do not use as a heating unit. Do not use coal or other solid and/or liquid fuels. Cleaning operations cannot be done by children unless they are over 8 years old and supervised DESCRIPTION G10128 1 Cooking plate 2 Temperature control knob 3 Handle 4 Waste and cooking oil tray 5 Power supply unit 6 Plastic frame 7 Lid ASSEMBLING - Place the plastic frame (6) on a flat, stable and heat resistant surface. - Place the tray (4) in its seat on the frame (6), as for picture on the side. The tray must pass under the plastic edge placed on the back of frame. - Add water in the tray (min 150cc, max 300 cc). - Insert the plate (1) inside the frame (6).

WARNING: place the plate correctly, or the product will not work.

- Mount the lid inserting it in the slots present on the back of frame (6). In resting position the lid will stay open as shown in picture. TO CLOSE the lid, take the handle and pull the lid, then press down until blocking. TO DETACH the lid, take the handle and push the lid, then lift it up. The appliance is correctly mounted and ready for use.12 OPERATING This contact grill is suitable for cooking and heating many kinds of food: meat and grilled vegetables, rolls and sandwiches, fish and all the dishes that require the grill cooking. - Connect the power supply unit (5) to cooking plate, putting the supply unit in its housing and plug the appliance into electrical outlet. - Set desired temperature using the temperature control knob (2). The knob can be set to: o OFF: the appliance is switched off o 1-2: Low heat –for keeping food warm. o 2-3: Medium heat-cooking foods thoroughly o 3-4: High heat-for quick cooking and sealing in juices. o 5: Super heat –for browning foods quickly - When the light on supply unit (5) switches off, the cooking grill reaches the required temperature. - At this point the contact grill is ready for cooking. Place the food on the cooking plate. - During cooking it is advisable to periodically check the condition of the food to prevent burning. It will be necessary to turn the food to obtain a uniform cooking. To avoid any damage to the non-stick coating, always use wooden utensils. - Once finished cooking, remove food with wooden utensils. Do not use metal utensils. - Unplug the unit and wait for the complete cooling down of each part before cleaning. After cleaning, which must be carried out by following the instructions in the next paragraph, store the unit away from heat sources and out of the reach of children. CLEANING - Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet and allow complete cooling of each part before carrying out any cleaning operations. - Do not immerse the power supply unit (5) in water; do not leave it under the water stream. In any case avoid water or other liquids to slide on the cooking surfaces. - Do not use scouring or metal sponges for cleaning the plate. - Clean the cooking plate with a damp sponge and dishwashing detergents, after cleaning always remove any residual detergent and dry any part completely before reassembling. - The lid (7) and the oil collector (4) can be treated as a normal dish.
