DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Before use, carefully check that the cheese container (11), the hopper (5), and the roller cover (1) are fitted correctly or the appliance will not start.

Cut cheese into small “cubes”, remove the crust, and feed it into the hopper (5), then plug the appliance into the mains. Lower the lever (9) Fig. B, with your right hand by exercising a slight pressure and pressing the starter button (7) with your left hand. Follow the same procedure to prepare grated bread. Dried fruit must be fed with no shell.

In order prevent injuries or damages to the appliance always keep your hands and kitchen utensils away from moving parts.

Do not use:

  • soft cheese, as it will stick to the roller!
  • very mature cheese, harder crusts, or stale bread to avoid damaging the gears or squashing the cutting tooth on the roller.

Removing/refitting the hopper

Unplug the appliance, lift lever (9) and remove the hopper by pulling it upwards.

To refit the hopper simply reinsert it, taking care to turn the tooth (Y) towards the pusher hinge (Fig. C).

Push the hopper down as far as it will go, or the appliance will not start (Fig. D).

Removing/refitting the roller

Unplug the appliance, rotate cover (1) clockwise by approximately 1/4 of a turn and pull it outwards, and then extract roller (2) (Fig. E).

To refit the roller, simply insert it into its seat, fit cover (1) and, while pressing it, rotate it anticlockwise by 1/4 of a turn (Fig. F).

Removing/refitting the roller and ice crushing accessory

Ensure the appliance is not attached to the electric mains. Remove the hopper (5), Fig. G. Remove the roller cover (1), Fig. H. Remove the roller (2), (Fig. I) and insert the ice crushing roller (12), Fig. L. Insert the ice crushing accessory (13) by pushing it home (Fig. N). Refit the roller cover (Fig. O).

Using the ice crushing accessory.

Fill up the ice crushing extension with NO MORE THAN 250 gr. of ice cubes (Fig. Q), and plug the appliance into the mains. Before use, carefully check that the cheese container (11) and the roller cover (1) are fitted correctly or the appliance will not start.

Shut the cover by holding the ice crushing accessory with one hand and pressing the starter button with the other (Fig. R).

Note: for safety reasons, in the event that the cover pops open, the appliance will stop immediately. Shut the cover to restart the operation.

In order prevent injuries or damages to the appliance always keep your hands and kitchen utensils away from moving parts. The particular design of the ice crushing blade does not require the use of tools or presses for ice feeding. It is possible to grate chocolate for as long as it has previously been cut into two or three centimetre thick slices and kept inside the fridge for at least one hour.

At the end of the operation, unplug from the mains and accessory or blade assembly for dishwasher cleaning. Remove the tray with its content and store away the appliance.

Handle roller with care. Danger of cuts.

Removing/refitting the pusher

Unplug the appliance, remove the rubber pusher by pulling it vigorously outwards.

To refit pusher (8), simply insert it into its seat and press it vigc pusher tab is aligned with the slot in the lever (Fig. S).

Removing/refitting the container

Grated food is delivered to the container (11), which may be removed by extracting it from

its housing, after unplugging the appliance.

The container can be served on the table or preserved in the refrigerator (Fig. T) by using the lid (10).

Cleaning

Grater roller (2), ice crushing roller (12), the ice crushing accessory (13), the hopper (5), the rubber pusher (8), the container lid (10), and the container itself (11) may all be cleaned in dishwasher, in the upper tray. (Fig. U).

To clean the main body (4) use a damp cloth.
