APPLICATION The Sandwich Maker XXL is a sandwich maker with extra large griddles to provide room for even the largest of sandwiches. The cooking surface is 16 x 27 cm in total. For comparison, a “normal” sandwich maker is often only 13 x 22 cm. The sandwich maker has a non-stick coating, a “power” light, a “heat” light (for the temperature), a lock clip and stay cool handles. The cord can be wound up and stored underneath the appliance and the grill is able to be stood upright for vertical storage. Wipe the plates with a damp cloth before using the grill for the first time. The appliance may give off a little smoke when first used. This is normal for new heating elements and will stop after a short while. GENERAL DIRECTIONS Place the appliance on a stable and heat-resistant surface. Insert the plug in the wall socket. The “power” light will illuminate to show that the sandwich maker is on. Allow the plates to heat up for about 5 minutes, or until the “heat” light turns off. Place your sandwich on the bottom plate and close the grill. The sandwich will be ready in approximately 4-5 minutes. The exact time depends on the dish and your taste. A wooden or plastic spatula should preferably be used when removing the sandwich to prevent damage to the non-stick coating. CLEANING
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE
CLEANING. Clean the appliance after every use. Allow the appliance to cool off completely first. Clean the outside with a damp cloth. After grilling, you can clean the plates with a paper towel while it is still a bit warm. Once the sandwich maker has cooled, the plates may be thoroughly cleaned using soapy water. Be sure not to use too much water; water must not penetrate the appliance. Do not use any sharp metal objects or aggressive substances on the non-stick coating. DAMAGE TO THE PLATES CAUSED BY SHARP OBJECTS IS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY!
