Frequently Asked Questions - MVHP7300 PIONEER

How to connect an iPhone/iPod?

Open the USB port cover, then connect the iPod using a USB cable (and optionally a CD-IU50V adapter for video). Select the iPod or USB source as appropriate.

How to play a DivX video?

Insert a USB drive or SD card containing DivX files (extension .avi or .divx). Select the USB or SD source, then the video file via the List menu. Use playback controls to control.

How to adjust the equalizer?

From the home screen, choose Audio then GraphicEQ. Select a preset curve (Powerful, Natural, etc.) or customize by adjusting the 8 frequency bands by ±12 dB.

How to perform an auto search for radio stations?

In radio mode, press and hold the M.C. button left or right to start auto search. Release to stop on the found station.

What to do if the screen shows 'Viewing of front seat video source while driving is strictly prohibited'?

This message appears when you try to watch a video while driving. To access it, park, engage the parking brake, disengage it, then re-engage. Press M.C. to confirm OK.

How to reset the device?

Remove the front panel, then using a pen, press the RESET button on the front panel. This restores factory settings.

How to use Pandora?

Connect an iPhone with the Pandora app installed via the USB cable. Start the app on the iPhone, then select the Pandora source on the car stereo. Use the controls to navigate.

How to set the date and time?

Access the System menu from the home screen, then choose ClockADJ. Use M.C. to select the segment (day, month, year, hour, minute) and turn to adjust.

How to use the loudness correction function?

In the Audio menu, select Loudness. Choose from Off, Low, Mid, or High to enhance bass and treble at low volume.

The device does not recognize my USB drive. What should I do?

Check that the drive is formatted as FAT16 or FAT32. Make sure it does not contain a USB hub. Try reformatting it. If the problem persists, the capacity or device type may not be compatible.
