Thank you for purchasing TEESA appliance. Please read this operation instruction carefully before use, and keep it for future use. Producer does not take responsibility for damages caused by inappropriate handling and use of the product. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS In order to reduce the injuries or damages, follow basic safety precautions applied when using any electrical device, including the following:
- Read this instruction manual carefully, even if you are familiar with the appliance. Keep the manual for future reference.
- Before connecting the device to power supply socket, make sure the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the voltage in the power supply socket.
- Place the device on at, stable surface.
- ALWAYS turn o the device and disconnect it from the mains supply:
- before disassembling the device
- This kettle is intended exclusively for private and not for commercial use.
- Switch o the kettle and remove the plug from the socket when the kettle is not in use, before cleaning or whenever any disturbance occurs. When you disconnect the power cord of the kettle, grasp and pull the plug, not the cord/cable.
- Fixed power cable may only be replaced in an authorized service point.
- Keep the kettle out of the reach of children. Do not leave children unsupervised with the kettle.
- This appliance may be used by children who are above 8 years old and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised and guided by a person who is responsible for their safety in a cautious manner, and all the safety precautions are understood and followed. Children should not play with this device. Children should not perform cleaning and servicing of the device unsupervised.
- Test the kettle and the cord/cable regularly for damage. Before use, make sure the kettle operates properly. In case of any damage, or if the kettle does not operate properly, stop using the kettle and unplug it immediately.
- Do not attempt to repair the kettle yourself, only authorized and qualied personnel may repair this kettle.
- Keep the kettle and cord/cable away from heat, direct sunlight, water, moisture, sharp edges and the like.
- Use only original accessories, do not connect incompatible products.
- The kettle is for indoor use only.
- The base and exterior of the kettle are not water-resistant, keep it dry at all times.
- Under no circumstances must the kettle be placed in water or any liquid or come in contact with liquid. Do not handle the kettle with wet or moist hands. Should the kettle become wet or moist, remove the main plug from the socket immediately.
- DO NOT touch the inner contents of the kettle.
- Use the kettle only for its intended purpose.
- The kettle is only to be used with the base provided.
- Make sure, the mains supply cable does not hang over the edge of the table or a counter on which the kettle is placed.
- Do not use the kettle in the vicinity of explosive and/or ammable fumes. Do not place the kettle near oven and gas or electric cookers.
- Regularly cleaned and descaled kettle prevents from abnormal functioning of the product.
- Do not open the lid when the water is being boiled and for some time after it has been heated, as it may scald and burn skin.
- Do not turn on the kettle if there is no water.
- Do not touch the surface of the kettle when it is lled with hot water; to operate the kettle use theEN Owner’s manual14 handle and knobs. Housing of the kettle may increase its temperature - risk of scalding!
- The water level must be between the MAX and MIN marks.
- Switch the kettle o before removing it from the base.
- Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed.
- The base and exterior of the kettle must not become wet.
- Kettle body used must match with the kettle base. OPERATION Before using the kettle for the rst time, ll the kettle with cold water and boil it. After the kettle switches o automatically, pour the water out, and repeat the process.
1. Fill the kettle with water. Do not overll, make sure the water level is between MAX and MIN
markings. Close the top lid of the kettle (if the lid will not be closed, the kettle will not switch o automatically after boiling is nished).
2. Place the kettle on the base.
3. Connect the kettle to 220-240 V, 50/60 Hz socket.
4. Press the key shortly to turn the device on. The operation indicator will turn red and in TSA1530
model illumination will be on. The display will show current temperature of water inside the kettle. The water will be boiled. Once the water is boiled, the device will beep 3 times and automatically enter standby mode (the operation indicator will go o). After 1 minute of inactivity, the device will beep again and switch o (the display will be o).
5. To use maintaining constant temperature/heating to the desired temperature function, turn the
kettle on with the button and then press the button. Next, press the button repeatedly to set desired heating temperature, the display will show the set temperature (50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90) and the keep warm indicator will be on. Once you stop adjusting the temperature, the numbers will ash 3 times, and then stop ashing which means the function has been activated. The kettle will heat water inside up to the set temperature, and automatically enter standby mode after the temperature is reached. It will turn back on and heat up the water whenever the temperature drops down by around 5°C. The function can be active for up to 8 hours.
6. Note: the kettle can be switched o manually at any time by pushing the power button. Do not
remove the kettle from the base without switching o rst.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Always remove the plug from the mains supply before cleaning the kettle. Clean the unit’s exterior periodically with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Never use chemical agents to clean this device. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or powers. Do not immerse the kettle in water or other liquids. After some time, depending on the nature of your water supply, a boiled scale deposit is naturally formed and can be found mostly adhered to the heating element, thus reducing the heating eciency. The amount of boiled scale deposited largely depends on the water hardness in your area and the frequencyOwner’s manual 15
with which the kettle is used. Boiled scale is not harmful to your health, but gives a powdery taste to your drinks if water poured into them was boiled in scaled kettle. The kettle should be descaled periodically as indicated below: DESCALING
1. Fill the kettle up to MAX with a mixture of one part ordinary vinegar and two parts water.
Switch on and wait for the liquid to boil and appliance to switch o automatically.
2. Let the mixture remain inside the kettle overnight.
3. Discard the mixture the next morning.
4. Fill the kettle with clean water up to MAX mark and boil again.
5. Discard the boiled water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.
6. Rinse the inside of the kettle with clean water.
