BEFORE THE FIRST USE
Please clean the appliance completely. Put the attachments such as the cover, egg trays, measuring cup, etc. into the water (adding the proper cleanser) and clean them. Fill the appliance with a measuring cup of water, assemble all parts and begin to operate without eggs. When the water is boiling, discard the water. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot liquids.
Never immerse the base in the water for cleaning. Wipe the appearance of the base and the heating plate with a mild and damp cloth or cleaner, never use a poisonous cleaner.
Measuring cup:
There are two sides of the marks on the measuring cup. One side of the marks is for using one layer of the egg tray, marked with "SOFT", "MEDIUM", "HARD" and "CUSTARD"; the other side of the marks is for using two layers of the egg trays, marked with "MEDIUM", "HARD" and "CUSTARD". Chose the correct side for reference when using the measuring cup.
HOW TO USE YOUR EGG BOILER
- Fill the heating plate with the required amount of cold water, using the measuring cup. The graduations on the measuring cup correspond to the amount of water required to obtain 1 to 14 soft, medium or hard-boiled eggs. Choose "SOFT", "MEDIUM" or "HARD" for reference.
For example: If you want to boil some eggs and the eggs must be tender, please fill the measuring cup with water to the mark "SOFT".
- Place the egg tray above the heating plate.
- Use the egg piercer to prick a small aperture into the big end of each egg. The piercing pin is very sharp, use with extreme caution. This prevents the eggshells bursting during boiling.
- Put the eggs onto the egg tray by the small end facing downwards. Close the cover.
Note: Each egg tray can hold up to 7 eggs. If you only need to boil 7 eggs, the use of the bottom egg tray will be enough. Remove the upper egg tray and the egg tray separator during boiling. (See reference pic. A) If you need to boil more than 7 eggs, use the egg tray separator to assemble two layers of the egg trays. (See reference pic. B)
