How to use the Emerio EB07001.21 egg cooker?

Fill the water reservoir with the required amount of cold water using the measuring cup (graduations according to number of eggs and doneness). Pierce the tip of the eggs with the built-in egg piercer, place them in the tray, close the lid and plug in the appliance. It stops automatically and sounds an alarm when the eggs are ready.

How to choose the right amount of water for cooking eggs?

The measuring cup has graduations corresponding to 1 to 7 eggs for soft-boiled, medium, or hard-boiled. Use the appropriate graduation. Adjust the water amount if the eggs are too soft (more water) or too hard (less water).

How to clean the egg cooker?

Unplug and allow to cool. The lid and egg tray can be washed normally with soapy water. The heating plate should be cleaned only with a damp cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water.

How to descale the heating plate?

Mix 1 part white vinegar with 10 parts water. Pour onto the plate, leave for 30 minutes, then empty and wipe with a damp cloth.

Why did my egg cooker stop during cooking?

This is normal: the appliance has a dry-heat protection. If there is no more water, it stops automatically. Let it cool down, fill with water and restart.

Do I need to pierce the eggs before cooking?

Yes, pierce the rounded end of each egg with the piercer built into the tray. This prevents the eggs from cracking during cooking. Caution: the egg piercer is very sharp.

Before use make sure to read all of the below instructions in order to avoid injury or damage, and to get the best results from the appliance. Make sure to keep this manual in a safe place. If you give or transfer this appliance to someone else make sure to also include this manual.

In case of damage caused by user failing to follow the instructions in this manual the warranty will be void. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to follow the manual, a negligent use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

2. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

3. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

4. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

5. Children shall not play with the appliance.

6. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

7. CAUTION: Avoid injuries from the egg pricking device. The piercing pin is very sharp; use with extreme caution!

23. Should you accidentally allow the appliance to operate without water, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch it off. If this occurs, allow the appliance to cool before filling with water and turning it on.

HOW TO USE YOUR EGG BOILER

• Fill the heating plate with the required amount of cold water, using the measuring cup.
- The graduations on the measuring cup correspond to the amount of water required to obtain 1 to 7 soft, medium or hard-boiled eggs.
- The graduations are given for medium-sized eggs. If the eggs are too soft, add a little more water than indicated on the cup, or less water if the eggs get too hard.
- Pierce the blunt end of the eggs with the egg piercer which is integrated in the egg tray.
• Put the eggs into the egg tray and close the lid.
- Plug in the egg boiler.
• A buzzer sounds when the eggs are ready.
• Disconnect the egg boiler from the wall socket.
• Take off the lid. Remove the egg tray from the heating plate and run the eggs under cold tap water.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Always unplug the appliance and allow cooling before cleaning. The egg tray and the cover can be washed normally. However, the heating plate which is fixed to the bottom of the appliance can only be cleaned with a moistened towel.

Do not immerse the appliance in water!

When excessive scales are deposited on the heating plate, normal household vinegar can be used to remove the scales. Dilute the vinegar with water (add 1 part vinegar to 10 parts of water). Pour the solution onto the heating plate. Allow soaking for about 30 minutes. Then pour away the liquid. Wipe the heating plate clean with a moistened towel.

SAFETY MEASURES

The appliance should not be used when:

1. The cable is damaged.
2. The appliance can be visually seen damaged.
3. The appliance has been dropped onto the floor, even if visible damage is not seen.
