What types of batteries can I charge with the Comfort Mini?

You can charge rechargeable NiMH batteries of type AA (Mignon) and AAA (Micro). Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.

How do I know when charging is complete?

The LED of each compartment turns solid green when charging is complete. The charger then switches to maintenance mode.

What does a blinking orange light mean?

A blinking orange indicates a pause due to insufficient USB power. Use a USB source of at least 1A for normal operation.

Can I charge batteries of different capacities at the same time?

Yes, the charger can combine different types or capacities of NiMH batteries, as each compartment is monitored individually.

What to do if the LED does not turn on?

Check the USB connection and power source. Make sure the USB cable is properly plugged in. Test with another USB power supply.

How to clean the charger?

Before cleaning, unplug the charger and remove the batteries. Use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth (possibly with a little mild dish soap). Do not use abrasive products.

Is the charger safe to use with children?

The product can be used by children over 8 years of age under supervision. Do not allow children to play with the charger. Keep them away from the packaging.

What is the warranty period?

Ansmann offers a 3-year warranty on the device. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use.

INTENDED USE

The product is used to charge rechargeable NiMH batteries (AA/AAA) of the usual capacities.

The product is intended exclusively for private household use and not for commercial use.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the complete instruction manual carefully before using the product.

It contains important instructions for using the product.

If you pass on the product to third parties, please also pass on this operating manual.

Check the product for damage. If you discover damage, do not use the product. Contact your dealer.

Keep the product and the packaging away from children. This product is not a toy. Children should be super-

vised in order to ensure that they do not play with the product.

This product may be used by children 8 years of age and older and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge, only if they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the product and are aware of the hazards. Children are not allowed to play with the device. Cleaning and care must not be carried out by children without supervision.

■Do not attempt to open the charger!
■Before using the charger, read all instructions and safety instructions on the charger and the battery.
■Please also read the operating instructions of all other devices connected to the product.
■Always insert rechargeable batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -) as shown in the charge slot.

■Do not attempt to charge non-re-chargeable batteries.
■Always place the product on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface.
■Do not use the product near flammable liquids or gases.
■Make sure that the ventilation slots on the bottom housing of the charger are not covered.
■Do not leave the product unattended during use.

1. Capacity quick test: Residual capacity is determined before charging begins and displayed for 5 seconds
2. Gentle pre-charging: Weak or deeply discharged battery is pre-charged with lower current if necessary
3. Battery analysis: Battery behavior is analyzed and evaluated to determine whether it is still reliably usable or defective
4. Quick charge: Battery is charged at maximum current
5. IQ switch-off: Intelligent monitoring of the battery for reliable charging and multiple protection against overcharging
6. Top-off charge: Ensures that the battery is gently charged to 100% capacity
7. Trickle charge: Battery is kept in a fully charged state by means of charging pulses

OPERATION

■ Connect the charger with the included USB cable.
- Connect the USB cable to any suitable USB port (e.g. power supply, PC, Power bank...).
- Insert the battery into the charging slot with the correct polarity (see engraving in the charging slot).
- The product displays the charge status of the battery for 5 seconds and then automatically starts the charging process.
- As soon as a battery is fully charged, the charger switch to trickle charge.

• You can now remove the fully charged battery.
  ■ After all batteries have been removed, disconnect the product from the power supply

(*1) If the connected USB device does not supply enough current (recommended min. 1A), the device will pause a charging slot. You can still charge your batteries without any problems, but the charging process takes longer due to this pause.

TROUBLESHOOTING

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning

Disconnect the power supply to the product and remove all batteries before cleaning.

Only use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth for cleaning (if necessary, add a little mild washing-up liquid). Never use abrasives or solvents for cleaning.
