ENGLISH (Original instructions) Intended use Your BLACK+DECKER HX340 Fan heater has been designed for heating rooms. This product is intended for consumer use only. Thank you for choosing BLACK+DECKER. We hope that you will enjoy using this product for many years. For indoor domestic household use only. This appliance is not to be used in:

  • Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
  • By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;

  • Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer, separate remote-control system or any other device that switches the heater on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.

ENGLISH (Original instructions) Use Your appliance is fitted with a thermostat for your safety. Using the appliance continuously for very long periods may cause the appliance to overheat and stop working. It is therefore recommended that you disconnect the appliance from the mains supply and allow to fully cool before continuing use.

  • Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface.
  • Connect it to the electricity supply.
  • Select the operating mode.

  • The thermostat will turn the machine off if it overheats.
  • Overheating can be caused by obstruction to the air intakes on the back of the machine or the grill on the front. If this occurs please disconnect the machine and allow it to cool for 30 minutes. Remove any obstruction and turn the machine back on.
