Self-massage is a good daily practice that promotes blood and lymphatic circulation and reduces water retention, one of the causes of cellulite. Adding special cosmetic products during the massage will also enhance their effectiveness because the cream or oil will be better absorbed.

The treatment significantly improves overall wellbeing by relaxing muscular tension, alleviating pain, reducing stress and fatigue, stimulating blood circulation and restoring energy.

The results will NOT BE IMMEDIATE. After the first six weeks, the skin will be noticeably smoother and tighter in the treated areas but the treatment must be continued.

Massaging can also be used to prevent and reduce cellulite as soon as it appears, but it should be combined with a balanced diet and physical exercise in cases in which it is more evident.

Recommendations for a good self-massage:

Self-massage is best done in the morning because the body is rested and more receptive.

During the evening, especially after a long day spent sitting down or on your feet, the blood in the legs has already pooled and additional stress may increase the inflammation so it is best to apply only cream with a light massage at this time of day.

How to do a self-massage:

Massage the areas to be treated in small concentric circles. The friction helps to improve local circulation. Use a fluid and slow motion, moving from the bottom up and without applying excessive pressure to the tissues.

Massaging the legs and feet is especially good for alleviating the sensation of tiredness and heaviness and promoting a pleasant relaxed feeling.

After removing the packaging, check the appliance for any signs of damage.

In case of visible damage, do not use it and contact a qualified technician. Do not leave parts of the packaging with in the reach of children. This appliance is not a children's toy: it is an electrical device and must be treated with the necessary caution.

Before connecting the appliance, make sure that the power supply voltage matches the indication on the data plate.

If the plug and socket are not compatible, the socket has to be replaced with a suitable type by skilled persons.

Do not use adapters or extension cables which do not meet current safety standards or that exceed the current carrying capacity limits.

When you don't use the appliance disconnect it from the power supply and assure that the interruptors are switched off.

Do not tug on the power cable or on the appliance itself to remove the plug from the socket.

The use of any electrical appliance requires that a number of basic rules are observed, namely:

• Never touch the appliance with wet or humid hands.

• This appliance should not be used by people (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental capacities or anyone who lacks experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the appliance by someone who is responsible for their safety. Children should not be allowed to play with appliance.

• Do not leave the appliance exposed to weathering (rain, sunlight).

• Do not subject it to rough handling.

In case of a breakdown or malfunctioning of the appliance, disconnect it at once.

Do not attempt to repair it, but take it to a service centre approved by the manufacturer.

If you decide you do not want to use this appliance any longer, disable it by cutting the power cable - of course, after disconnecting it from the socket.

The power cable should be extended to its full lenght to avoid over heating.

If the power cable gets damaged, it has to be replaced only at a service centre approved by the manufacturer.

For safety reasons, the appliance should never be opened.

The appliance has been designed and manufactured to operate in the home. Any other use is considered inappropriate and dangerous.

Persons who are insensible to heat must be careful when using the appliance.

If you suffer from medical problems involving your feet or legs, such as phlebitis, varicose veins, skin excoriations or some other problems, consult your doctor for frequency or applications, as well as possible controindications.

Expectant mothers, people who suffer from diabetes and people who carry pacemakers must consult their doctor before using this appliance.

Do not use the massager for more than 15 minutes.

Do not massage the same part of the body for more than 5 minutes.

The appliance is not homologated for medical purposes.

Instructions for use

Choose the desired accessory for the massage, mount it onto the hexagonal base making sure that the apparatus is both switched off and unplugged.

Use the apparatus by plugging it in and turning the switch to 1 to operate the massage only, or 2 to operate the infrared massage.

Adjust the speed of the massage by means of the appropriate switch.

The accessories supplied can be used interchangeably.

Choose the accessory based on your level of sensitivity and needs, mount it onto the hexagonal base making sure that the apparatus is switched off and unplugged.

You can find more information on the use in the diagram at the end of the paragraph, to choose the speed and the right accessory for every body part to be massaged.

Use the cloth head if you are applying cream during the massage to prevent dirtying the accessories. The cloth head will not interfere with the effectiveness or pleasure of the massage. Mount it by screwing it in a clockwise direction onto the base unit, making sure that it is properly closed.

Accessories 3a and 3b are known as multinodes due to the various shaped protrusions which have been specifically designed to simulate finger pressure, an ancient massage technique that is performed by pressing the fingers on the points of the body that correspond to the organs. Using these, you can perform percussion massages of varying intensity. Applying greater pressure will result in a deeper massage.

The 3c roller accessory is used to perform a vibration massage that works against cellulite due to the up and down movement. It also promotes good blood circulation. Accessory 3d is particularly useful for a more delicate and less intense friction massage which is still just as pleasurable and effective.

It is recommended for alleviating muscular pain from cramps due to the mild, relaxing action of the massage.

The infrared/heat function combined with a massage applies heat to the skin which helps absorb the nutrients from the cosmetic products used. Do not massage the same part of the body for more than 5 minutes and do not run the appliance for more than 15 minutes at a time.

Before beginning a new session of massages wait for the appliance to cool down at least 15 minutes.

Maintenance

This appliance does not require special maintenance. Clean it regularly.

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the appliance, while the accessories can be rinsed under running water.

The cloth accessory can be washed in the washing machine.

Clean the attachments using a cloth dampen with alcohol.

Do not use any corrosive products or chemical solvents.

Attention: keep dry the appliance.

NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER.
