USER MANUAL PB 2228 Orbegozo
Read this manual carefully before running this appliance and save it for reference in order to obtain the best results and ensure safe use.
General Safety Instructions
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors (except if it is designed to be used outdoors). Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and Sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands.
- Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular basis. Do not use the appliance IF it is damaged.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician.
The device can bear a maximum body weight of 200kg ! A larger weight can tame the device!
Notes on Handling Batteries
- Keep batteries away from children. They are not a toy!
- Never throw batteries into a fire or immerse in water.
- When inserting a battery, ensure the correct polarity.
- Do not open the batteries by force.
- Avoid contact with metallic objects. (Rings, nails, screws ET Cetera.) There is a danger of short-circuiting!
- As a result of a shor-circuit batteries may heat up considerably or even catch fire. This may result in Burns.
- For your own safety the battery poles should be covered with adhesive strips during transport.
If a battery leaks do not rub the liquid into your eyes or mucous membranes. If hands come into contact with the liquid they should be washed thoroughly and eyes rinsed out with clear water, if symptoms persist please consult a doctor. - Used batteries should not be disposed of in the normal domestic waste. Please return old batteries to an appropriate connection point.
The following symbols are to be found on (rechargeable) batteries containing harmful substances:

Pb = contains lead
Cd = contains cadmium
Hg = contains mercury
Li = contains lithium
Note: Do not dispose of batteries in the domestic waste. Please return used batteries to the relevant collection points or the shop where they were bought. Never throw batteries into a fire.
The device functions correctly if your feet are bare and dry and if you are in standing position.
Your new electronic personal scales have been designed to accurately indicate your weight gain or loss over a period of time and should give you many years of service under normal use.

Power Supply
- Lithium Batteries are included (CR2032). Please remove the insulation sheet from the battery contacts before using. Replace the batteries when the "Low Battery Indicator" shows.
To replace Battery
Condition 1:Open battery case cover on the back of the scale, if the battery case is the type shown in picture 1.

A. Bend the small black tab outwards and the battery will come out. Take note not to bend the contact.
B. Install new battery by putting one side of the battery beneath the contact and the pressing down the other side.
Condition 2: Open battery case cover on the back of scale, if the battery case is the type shown in picture 2.

A.Take out the used battery with the aid of a sharp object, as shown in picture 2.
B.Install new battery by putting one side of the battery beneath the battery baffle and then pressing down the other side.
Operating Instructions
- STEP I. Put the scales on a hard flat surface (avoiding carpets or any soft surfaces).

- STEP 2. Switch on the scales by with a slight tap on the glass platform near LCD display. Then wait a few seconds, the following will appear: "0.0" in the screen.

NOTE: The scales will not work properly if you step on the scales before it shows 8 or 0.0 If this happens please start from the beginning of step 2.
- STEP 3. Gently step on the scales. Put your feet evenly on the scales without moving and wait whilst the scales compute weight. Your correct weight will then be displayed in the following way:

Automatic Switch Off
When you step off the scales, it will automatically switch off
(If no weighing is carried out while the zero is being displayed, the scales will automatically switch themselves off after approximately 6 seconds).

To convert weight unit
If the scale is with both measuring system of metric(Kilograms)and Imperial(pounds,stones),you can convert weight unit as follow :


Condition 1: If the unit switch is inside battery case,
A.Open battery case cover on the back of the scale.
B.Pull up and down the unit switch to convert scale unit between Kg-Lb-St.
Condition 2: If the unit switch is on the back of the scale,
A.Find unit switch on the back of scale
B.Pull up and down the unit switch to convert scale unit between kg-lb-st.
Overload Indicator
When the scales are overloaded (over 150kg/3301b)24st),the following will appear on the screen:

Battery change Indicator
When the batteries need replacing, the following will appear on the screen: LO Please open the back board of the scales, then take the batteries carefully out of the battery compartment. Please push the metal sheet outwards by your finger nails or a sharp instrument. The battery will pop out. Do not bend the contacts back while you do this, or they may break. Dispose of the old batteries in a safe place. Do not place on fire.
Care and Attention
- Place your scales on a hard, flat surface will ensure the greatest accuracy and repeatability.
- Always weigh yourself on the same scales placed on the same floor surface. Uneven floors may affect the readings.
- Always weigh yourself without clothing or footwear, and before meals. The first thing in the morning is the best time.
- Your scales round up or down to the nearest 100g / 0.21b . If you weigh yourself twice and get two different readings, your weight lies between the two readings.
- Clean your scale with a damp cloth but do not allow water to get inside the scales. Do not use any chemical cleaning agents.
- Do not allow your scales to become saturated with water as this can damage the electronics.
- Do not store the scales in an upright position when not in use as this will drain the batteries.
- Remove the batteries if the scales are not going to be used for a long period of time.
- Treat your scales with care-it is a precision instrument, do not drop or jump up or down on them.


Disposal of old electrical appliances.
The European directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.
The crossed out "wheeled bin" symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected.
Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance.
