Frequently Asked Questions - IAN 285307 Ernesto

What types of hobs are suitable for this pan?
This pan is compatible with gas, electric, ceramic, halogen, and induction hobs. Make sure the hob diameter matches the pan's diameter for optimal efficiency.
Can I use this pan in the oven?
Yes, you can use this pan in the oven up to a maximum temperature of 150 °C for 1 hour. Remove the lid if the oven is small.
How to clean the pan after use?
We recommend hand washing with hot water and mild dish soap. Avoid abrasive sponges and metal utensils to preserve the non-stick coating. Dishwasher is possible but may cause discoloration of the aluminum.
Why doesn't my induction hob detect the pan?
The bottom of the pan contains magnetic steel elements, but it is not fully magnetic. If the pan diameter is larger than the induction cooking zone, the sensors may not react. Try centering the pan and make sure the bottom is clean and flat.
Can I use metal utensils with this pan?
No, to avoid scratching the non-stick coating, only use plastic or wooden utensils. Also avoid cutting food directly in the pan.
The pan makes a strange noise on my induction hob, is it normal?
Yes, a slight noise may occur due to the electromagnetic properties of the induction hob and the pan. This is a normal phenomenon that does not indicate any defect. Place the pan in the center of the hob to minimize noise.
What to do if grease catches fire in the pan?
Never pour water on a grease fire. Smother the fire by covering the pan with its lid or a thick wool blanket. Turn off the heat source and wait for the pan to cool.
The pan has changed color after a few uses, is it a defect?
Slight discoloration, especially on the outside, is normal and due to high heat. It does not affect performance or coating quality. Continue using the pan without worry.
How to care for the glass lid?
The glass lid is fragile and may break upon impact. Wash it by hand with a soft sponge. Avoid sudden temperature changes (do not immerse it in cold water when hot).
What is the warranty period and what does it cover?
The warranty is 3 years from the date of purchase. It covers material and manufacturing defects. Keep the receipt as proof of purchase. Damage due to improper use or normal wear and tear is not covered.

Ernesto IAN 285307 - WARNING! DANGER OF INJURY! - 1

Please note that the handles may become hot during cooking. For your safety, use a potholder or barbecue gloves.

Do not use the lid if the knob is loose.

WARNING! DANGER OF DAMAGE TO PROPERTY!

Pots and pans in which fat is being heated up must never be left unattended. Fat can very quickly overheat and ignite. Never try to extinguish a fat fire with water. Cover the flames with a pot / pan lid or a thick cloth.
Use heat resistant plastic or wooden kitchen utensils in order not to damage the non-stick coating. Do not cut food directly in the pot.
- Do not place meat which is still dripping with liquid into hot fat. The fat splattering out on to a hot hob could easily cause a fire.
High temperatures may discolour the exterior of the product. This does not indicate faulty material, nor does it impair the product's quality or function.
To avoid heat loss, choose a hotplate with a diameter of the pot that matches.

The item is suitable for keeping dishes warm inside the oven (max. 150^ for 1 hour).

  • Never hold the hot product under cold running water. The bottom of the product may be damaged or fall off.
This product is suitable for dishwasher.
Frequently cleaning the product with harsh cleaners may damage it and might cause discolouration.
Aluminium pieces may discolour when placed in the dishwasher.

■ ATTENTION! The glass lid is fragile/ not impact-resistant!

For washing the pot by hand, use hot water with a little ordinary washing-up liquid. Avoid using sharp or pointed objects for this in order not to damage the coating.
■ ATTENTION: RISK OF SCRATCHES! Do not move the pan back and forth on glass-ceramic hobs! We recommend before cooking to wipe briefly the surface of the hob and the cookware bottom with a clean, lint-free cloth (e.g. microfiber) to reduce the risk of scratches.

Please note that using this product might cause slight discolourations due to the product's light colour. Such discolourations are signs of wear and do not affect the quality of the coating and its fitness for use.

Note for induction hobs

Note: A noise may occur under certain conditions, resulting from the electromagnetic properties of the heat source and the pot / pan.
This is totally normal and does not imply that your induction hob or your cookware is damaged.
Place the pot / pan in the middle of the induction hotplate.
CAUTION! High heating-up rate! Do not overheat cookware when preheating.

The room must be aired out well, in the event cookware overheats.

This article combines the benefits of aluminium cookware, such as low weight and high thermal conductivity, with the benefits of cooking with induction. To enable this, magnetic steel elements have been inserted in the aluminium base. Consequently the base is not magnetic throughout, so that on induction hobs that are significantly greater than the base diameter, it can happen that the induction coils do not react. This is not a quality defect and does not represent any impairment of the functionality. So that the article functions perfectly, please always place it on the hob corresponding with the base diameter.

Usage

Before first use, remove any stickers or labels from the article and rinse it in hot water.
Before using the pot for the first time, boil it out with water 2 to 3 times to completely remove all manufacturing residue.
- Do not overheat the pot while empty or filled to prevent the non-stick effect from weakening due to damage to the coating.
