- Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance is complete and undamaged.
- Placetheapplianceonanevenandheatresistantsurface and connect it to a properly installed wall socket.
- Beforemakingyourrstcoffee,rinsetheunitbyllingthe watertankuptotheMax.levelandoperateit2-3times without coffee powder. After that your coffee maker is ready for operation. Note: After each rinse cycle has been completed, the appliance has to be switched off for approx. 5 minutes, in order to cool down.
Warning: Plastic bags are a danger to toddlers and
babies, therefore keep them away to avoid suffocation.18 Operation Brewing Coffee
1. Place the appliance on an even and heat resistant surface
and connect it to a properly installed wall socket.
2. Open the appliance lid and fill the water tank with the
required amount of cold, fresh tap water. The marking insidethewatertankindicatestherequiredwaterlevel. Never exceed the Max. lling level to avoid hot water spilling from the appliance. The amount of water used depends on your personal coffee taste.
3. Close the appliance lid.
4. Pull out the filter holder and insert the permanent filter.
Make sure that the permanent filter is properly inserted and aligned.
5. Add, according to your taste, the desired amount of
grounded coffee into the filter. For each cup of coffee, use one leveled measuring spoon ofgroundedcoffee.Forstrongerormildercoffee,adjust the amount of coffee. Make sure to use medium ground coffee. The finer the coffee powder the higher the chance that the pores of the filter will be clogged.
6. Push back the filter holder to properly close it.
7.Placethecoffeecupsintotheappliance.PresstheOn/Off switch to switch on the appliance. The integrated indicator light indicates that the appliance is in operation. 8.Afterthebrewingcycleiscompleted(nomorewateris drippingthroughthelter),theindicatorlightgoesoffand the coffee cups can be removed. 9.PresstheOn/Offswitchtoswitchofftheappliance.Instruction Manual ENGLISH
The appliance will switch off automatically, one minute after the the brewing cycle has been completed and if it hasn’t been switched off beforehand.

Always disconnect the appliance from the mains if you are not using it! Cleaning and Care Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains. Let it completely cool down. Never immerse the appliance in water. Danger! Electric Shock! Clean the body of the appliance with a moistened soft cloth. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents and/or other hardobjectstocleantheappliance. The ceramic coffee cups are not dishwasher safe! The ceramic cups and all detachable parts can be cleaned in warm water using some dishwashing detergent, rinse them afterwards and dry them thoroughly.20 DESCALING Depending on the water quality and usage, calcication can occur. Therefore, to keep your coffee maker operating efciently, you should descale it on a regularbasis(6–8 weeks). Neveruseanysharp,pointedormetalobjectstoremove limescale built up in the appliance. To remove limescale, use a common gentle descaler, which is suitable for your appliance. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. After descaling, always rinse your appliance as described under Before First Use. Note: Descaler mixtures should not be poured down enamel coated sinks. Storage Disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it completely cool down. Keep the appliance away from children and store it in a clean and dry place.Instruction Manual ENGLISH
