Frequently Asked Questions - CFT6102X CANDY

What is the minimum distance between the hood and the hob?
The minimum distance between the support of the cooking vessels and the lowest part of the hood is 50 cm for an electric cooker and 65 cm for a gas or mixed cooker. If the cooking device manual specifies a greater distance, that takes precedence.
How to clean the metal grease filter?
The metal grease filter must be cleaned once a month. Use a non-aggressive detergent by hand or place it in the dishwasher on a low temperature short cycle. Note that the dishwasher may discolor the filter without affecting its performance.
Can I use the hood in extracting version without external evacuation?
No, if you cannot exhaust fumes outside, you must use the hood in recirculating version by installing an optional carbon filter. In this case, do not remove the pre-mounted metal walls and make sure the G selector is in position F (filtering).
How to replace the hood's bulb?
Before replacing the bulb, make sure it is cooled down and that the hood is unplugged. Use exclusively a lamp of type max 40W E14.
How often should I replace the carbon filter?
The carbon filter (optional) must be replaced once a month to maintain effective odor reduction.
Can the hood be used by children?
The appliance can be used by children aged at least 8 years under supervision. Cleaning and maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision. Make sure children do not play with the appliance.
Do I need to ventilate the room while using the hood?
Yes, the room must have sufficient ventilation when the hood is used simultaneously with other appliances operating on gas or other fuels.
What to do if the hood does not work?
First check that the hood is properly plugged in and the power supply is active. Make sure the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. If the problem persists, contact the authorized technical assistance service.
Can I install the hood myself?
Installation can be carried out by a competent person following the instructions in the manual. Use the provided fixing screws and respect the minimum distances. However, for electrical connection, if a socket is not accessible, call a qualified electrician.
Where to find spare parts for the Candy CFT6102X hood?
Grease and carbon filters as well as bulbs are consumables available at specialized retailers or online. For the power cable, contact Candy authorized after-sales service.

Check (for transport reasons) that there is no other supplied material inside the hood (e.g. packets with screws (*), guarantees (*), etc.), eventually removing them and keeping them.

Closely follow the instructions set out in this manual. All responsibility, for any eventual inconveniences, damages or fires caused by not complying with the instructions in this manual, is declined. The hood is conceived for the suction of cooking fumes and steam and is destined only for domestic use.

The hood is supplied with an upper air outlet (circular-A1-bayonet fixture + screw) and at the back (rectangular-A2(*) - fixed with 2 screws) for discharging the fumes outside. (Suction version A), choose the discharge direction desired and remove the corresponding pre-fractural metal wall and mount the connection tube of the same form. Check that selector G is in suction position (A). If it is not possible to discharge the cooking fumes and steam outside, the filtering version hood can be used, mounting a carbon filter (*). The fumes and steam are recycled through a front grill placed over the command panel (do not remove the pre-fractural walls!). Check that selector G is in filtering position (F).
