- Please read these instructions for use carefully before using your appliance for the first time and keep them to hand for future reference.

This appliance is intended for indoor, domestic household use only. It is not intended to be used in the following applications, and the guarantee will not apply for:

- If it is necessary to use an extension lead ensure that it is of suitable
construction and power rating, with an earth connection; take all necessary precautions to prevent anyone tripping over an extension cord.
- Always plug the appliance into an earthed socket.
- Never disconnect the plug by pulling on the power cord.

Read the instructions carefully, common to different versions depending on the accessories supplied with your appliance, and keep them within reach.

If an accident occurs, rinse the burn immediately with cold water and call a doctor if necessary.
- Before first use, wash the plates, pour a little cooking oil onto the plates and wipe with a soft cloth or paper kitchen towel.
- The appliance must be placed and used on a flat, stable, heat-resistant work surface, away from water splashes.
- The power cord must never be close to or in contact with hot parts of the appliance, close to a source of heat or resting on sharp edges.
- Position the power cord carefully, whether an extension is used or not, so that guests can move freely around the table without tripping over it.
- Cooking fumes may be dangerous for animals which have a particularly sensitive respiratory system, such as birds. We advise bird owners to keep them away from the cooking area.
- Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
- Ensure that the plates are stable, well positioned and correctly clipped to the appliance. Only use the plates provided with the appliance or bought from an Approved Service Centre.
- Always use a wooden or plastic spatula to avoid damaging the cooking plate.
- If parts of the appliance should catch fire, never try to extinguish flames with water. Disconnect the appliance and smother the flames with a damp cloth.
Do not
- Never leave the appliance plugged in when not in use.
- To prevent the appliance from overheating, do not place it in a corner or below a wall cupboard.
- Never place the appliance directly on a fragile surface (glass table, tablecloth, varnished furniture, etc.) or on a soft surface such as a tea-towel.
- Never place the appliance under a cupboard attached to a wall or a shelf or next to inflammable materials such as blinds, curtains or wall hangings.
- Never place the appliance on or near hot or slippery surfaces; never leave the cord hanging over a heat source (hotplates, gas stove, etc.).
- Do not place cooking utensils on the cooking surfaces of the appliance.
- Never cut food directly on the plates.
- Do not use metal scourers or scouring powders to avoid damaging the cooking surface (non-stick coating).
- Do not move the appliance when in use.
- Do not carry the appliance by the handle or metallic wires.
- Never run the appliance empty.
- Do not use aluminium foil or other objects between the plate and the food being cooked.
- Do not remove the juice collection tray while cooking. If the juice collection tray becomes full when cooking: let the appliance cool down before emptying.
- Never move the appliance as long as it is hot: allow it to cool down completely before you clean and store it.

- Do not place the hot plate under water or on a fragile surface.
- To prevent damage to the plates, only use them on the appliance for which they were designed (e.g., do not place in an oven, on the gas ring or electric hot-plate, etc.).
- To preserve the non-stick properties of the coating, avoid excessive pre-heating with the appliance empty.
- The plates should never be handled when hot.
- Do not cook food in aluminium foil.
- To avoid spoiling your product, do not use flambé recipes in connection with it at any time.
Advice / information
- Thank you for buying this appliance, which is intended for domestic use only.
- For your safety, this appliance conforms to all applicable standards and regulations (Low Voltage Directive, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Food Compliant Materials, Environment, ...).
- On first use, there may be a slight odour and a little smoke during the first few minutes; this is normal and will quickly disappear.
- Our company has an ongoing policy of research and development and may modify these products without prior notice.
- Do not consume foodstuff that comes into contact with the parts marked with *go.
Instructions for use
Explanatory drawings are at the end of this leaflet.
- Place your appliance on a flat, stable and heat-resistant work surface, away from water splashes.
- Plug the cord into the mains.
- Turn on the appliance by pressing the switch: the red indicator light will come on and remain lit, showing that the appliance is powered on.
- The orange indicator light comes on and the appliance starts to heat up.
- Pre-heat the appliance for about 5-10 minutes
- After preheating, the orange indicator light turns off, and the appliance is ready for use.
- The orange light will blink regularly while the appliance is in use to indicate that the temperature is being maintained.
- Open the appliance and put the mixture on the lower plate.
- Leave the preparations to cook for the desired time.
- When cooking is complete, place the thermostat in the min. position.
- Turn off the appliance by pressing the switch: the lights will turn off - 33.
Unplug the appliance - 34. - Leave to cool for at least 2 hours in the position used for cooking. - 35.
Cleaning
- Check that the appliance is cooled and disconnected before cleaning.
- Clean the plates and body of the appliance using a sponge, hot water and washing-up liquid.
- The appliance and its power supply cord must not be put in the dishwasher.
The plates and the drip tray are dishwasher safe.
The heating coil is not to be cleaned. If it is really dirty, wait until it has cooled down and wipe with a dry cloth.

Leave it at a local civic waste collection point.
1 - Grill assembly (Fig 3-7)
- To fit the lower grill plate: put the plate at an angle, insert the plate into the two notches located in the middle of the grill, then push the grill plate down to lock into position underneath the metal tabs located either side of the appliance (Fig 3-4).
- When positioning the grill plate ensure the channel for collecting the juice is aligned with the space allocated for placing the juice collection container (Fig 7).
- Fit the upper grill plate in the same way by holding the plate at an angle and inserting the upper plate into the two notches located in the middle of the grill (Fig 5-6).
- Insert the juice collection container into position by fitting it below the juice collecting channel on the lower grill plate (Fig 7).
2 - Before use (Fig 8-10)
- Unwind the power cord completely and then position the power cord safely. Do not allow the power cord to hang over the edge of the worktop. Always plug the appliance into an earthed socket.
3 - Using the grill
3.1 - For the grill function (Fig 11-15)
- Press the on/off button, the button light and the indicator light turns on and the appliance will start to heat up (Fig 11).
- Set the thermostat - there are 3 cooking settings to choose from depending on the type of food to be cooked (Fig 12).
- Allow the appliance to pre-heat for about 5 to 10 minutes. Pre-heating is complete when the indicator light goes off (Fig 13).
- Using food tongs, carefully place the food to be cooked onto the lower grill plate (Fig 14).
- The space between the two grill plates can be adjusted between 0cm to 3.5cm , depending on the size and thickness of the food to be cooked (Fig 15).
3.2 - For the barbecue function (Fig 16-23)
- Grasp the handle and open the grill, pull up firmly and then open the grill to the 180 degree position. The appliance is now completely open to provide a larger cooking area (Fig 16-19).
- Using food tongs, carefully place the food over the two grill plates (Fig 20-23).
3.3 - For the oven function (Fig 24-32) (comfort version)
- Grasp the handle and open the grill, pull up firmly on the upper section of the grill. At the back of the appliance lift and position the support accessory over the back section of the lower grill plate and then close the upper section of the grill. The appliance is now in the oven position (Fig 24-28).
- Carefully place the food onto the lower grill plate (Fig 32).
4-After Use (Fig 33-44)
- To switch your appliance off, press the on/off button and then unplug the appliance (Fig 33-34).
- Let the appliance cool down (allow approximately 2 hours) (Fig 35).
- Carefully remove and empty the juice collection container (Fig 36).
- When the grill plates have completely cooled down you can remove the plates for cleaning. To release the grill plates, press down firmly on the metal tabs situated on either side of the appliance. Lift the grill plates out by tilting the front of the grill plate upwards and then remove the back of the plate from the locating notches in the middle of the grill (Fig 37-40).
- The cooking plates and juice collection container are dishwasher safe; Do not immerse the appliance or the power cord in water (Fig 42-43).
- The appliance (comfort version) can be stored vertically (Fig 44).
