How to use the remote control of the Air Joy Cool fan?

The remote control allows you to control all electrical functions: turning on/off, increasing/decreasing airflow, turning on/off the rotation movement, and activating the timer (60 or 120 minutes). Make sure there is no obstacle between the remote control and the device. Each action is confirmed by an acoustic signal. Insert the batteries (not supplied) respecting the polarity.

How to adjust the fan speed?

The adjustment is done continuously via the wheel located on the control panel. Turn it clockwise to increase the flow and counterclockwise to reduce it. The remote control also allows you to increase or decrease the flow in steps.

How to use the timer?

During operation, press the 60 button on the remote control for a 60-minute timer, or the 120 button for 120 minutes. The device will turn off automatically at the end of the countdown. To deactivate the timer, press the same button again.

How to install the wall bracket?

Screw the provided mounting plate to the wall using the three screws, with the retaining elements facing upwards. Then hang the device onto the plate. Adjust the airflow as desired, then plug in the device and turn it on. The wall bracket is sold separately (ref. 900 895 006).

How to clean the Air Joy Cool fan?

Before cleaning, unplug the power cord. Wipe the device with a dry or slightly damp cloth. For the air slots, use a soft brush to remove dust. Never use sharp objects or aggressive detergents. Do not work with tools in the air slots and never immerse the device in water.

What to do if the fan does not turn on?

First check that the plug is properly connected and that the automatic circuit breaker has not tripped. If the problem persists, reduce the number of devices on the same electrical circuit. If nothing works, contact after-sales service.

What to do if the airflow is too weak?

This may be due to impurities in the air inlets or in the air slot. Gently clean these areas with a soft brush as described in the cleaning section. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service.

How to store the fan?

If you do not use the device for an extended period, unplug it and clean it. Store it in a dry, clean, frost-free place, away from direct sunlight.

Can I use the fan in a bathroom?

The device has IPX0 protection, meaning it is not protected against moisture. It should not be used in a bathroom, shower, or near a water source. Avoid any contact with water to prevent electrical hazards.

How to direct the airflow?

The airflow is directed by tilting the device via the foot with tilt adjustment. Hold the foot with one hand and change the tilt with the other hand. To avoid damage, perform this adjustment only when the rotation movement is stopped.

Safety instructions

Inspect the appliance for visible signs of damage before use. Do not use a damaged appliance.

Requirements for the place of use

For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the installation location must satisfy the following requirements:

Place the appliance on a firm, dry, flat and waterproof surface.

Do not install the appliance in a hot, wet or very humid environment.

The mains socket must be easily accessible and allow fast disconnection in the event of an emergency.

The surface finishes on furniture may contain substances that can be detrimental to the feet of the appliance. If necessary, place a mat under the feet of the appliance.

Electrical connection

For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the following instructions on the electrical connection must be observed:

Before connecting the appliance, ■ compare the connection data (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your mains power supply. This data must correspond in order to avoid damage to the appliance. If in doubt, ask your electrical appliance retailer.

The mains socket must be protected by at least a 10 A automatic circuit breaker.

Ensure that the mains cable is undamaged and is not laid over sharp edges.

■The mains cable must not be pulled tightly, bent or come into contact with hot surfaces.

■Route the mains cable to prevent risk of tripping.

■The electrical safety of the appliance is only assured when it is connected to a properly installed protective earth (PE) conductor system. Connection to a mains socket without PE conductor is forbidden. If in doubt, the electrical system must be checked by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer assumes no liability for injury or damage caused by a missing or interrupted protective earth conductor.

Before using for the first time

Unpacking

Remove the appliance and the user manual from the box.

Remove all packaging materials and protective foils from the product and the accessories before using it for the first time.

NOTE

Do not remove the rating plate or any warning signs on the appliance. If possible, keep the original packaging during the warranty or guarantee period in order to be able to pack the appliance properly in the event of a guarantee claim. Transport damage will invalidate the warranty or guarantee.

Checking the delivery contents

Check for visible signs of damage or missing items.

Report incomplete or damaged con- tents to your supplier immediately.

Operation and use

Switching the appliance on/off

The appliance is switched on and off by pressing the ⏻ button on the operating panel (5).

To switch on the appliance, press the

button on the operating panel. The blue indicator lamp lights up.

To switch off the appliance, press the

button again. The blue indicator lamp extinguishes.

Setting the air flow

Continuous setting of the air flow takes place via the regulator button on the operating panel (5).

Turn the regulator clockwise to set a stronger air flow.

Turn the regulator anticlockwise to set a weaker air flow.

Switching the rotating movement on and off takes place via the button on the operating panel (5).

Directing the air flow (see images B1 and B2)

The direction of the airflow is set via the inclination adjustment on the foot (3).

NOTE

Only direct the airflow when the rotating movement is switched off.

Hold the foot tight with one hand. ◆

Change the inclination of the appli- 1ance with the other hand until the desired airflow angle has been set (images B1 and B2).

Operating with the remote control

You can control all electrical functions of the appliance with the remote control.

NOTE

Make sure that there is an unob-structed view between the appliance and the remote control in order to control it with the remote control.

All settings made via the remote control are confirmed by a signal tone.

Timer function

The appliance is equipped with a timer function. To activate this, proceed as follows:

During operation, press the Ⓞ60 button on the remote control. The appliance switches itself off automatically after 60 minutes.

To deactivate the timer, press the ◆ button again.

To activate the timer for 120 minutes, press the 120 button. To deactivate this function, press the 120 button.

Wall mounting (image C1)

It is possible to mount the appliance on a wall. To do this, proceed as follows:

Screw the mounting plate to the wall with the three screws supplied so that the holding elements point upwards.

Hang the appliance onto the mounting ◆ plate.

Direct the airflow.

Connect the appliance to the mains ◆ and switch it on.

Cleaning and maintenance

Before beginning any work, pay attention to the safety instructions in the section Safety instructions (page 13)!

Cleaning the appliance

Pull the plug out of the mains socket.

Wipe the appliance with a dry or ◆ slightly damp cloth.

Eliminate contamination

Check the air inlets and the air slot (2) for free flow.

Eliminate contamination such as dirt or dust particles with a soft brush.

ATTENTION

Do not work on the air slots with tools or clean with wet cloths.

Storage

If you do not intend to use the appliance for a longer period of time, unplug it from the mains and clean it as described in the section Cleaning and maintenance (page 18).

Store the appliance in a dry, clean and frost-free place which is protected against direct sunlight.

Troubleshooting

The following table will help you locate and eliminate minor faults:

The indicator lamp does not light up after switching on.	Plug not inserted into socket. Insert plug.
	Automatic circuit breaker in electrical distribution board tripped.	Switch on the automatic circuit breaker again.
The automatic circuit breaker in the electrical distribution board trips.	Too many appliances connected to the same power circuit.	Reduce the number of appliances on the power circuit.
	No fault detected.	Contact customer service.
The airflow is too weak.	There is contamination in the air inlets or between the air slots.	Eliminate possible contamination as described in the section Cleaning and maintenance (page 18).
