Intended use
This machine is intended primarily for non-commercial use in closed rooms for creating a continuously variable air flow. Any use other than previously stated is considered as improper use.

Observe the procedures described in this user manual.

Safety instructions
Inspect the appliance for visible signs of damage before use. Do not use a damaged appliance.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with restricted physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with insufficient experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions on the use of the appliance from such a person.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appli- ance.
Store the appliance out of the reach of children.
Only allow repairs to the appliance ■ to be carried out by an authorised specialist or by the works customer service; this particularly applies to replacing a damaged connecting cable. Unqualified repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user. This will also invalidate the warranty or guarantee.
Repairs to the appliance during the ■ warranty or guarantee period may only be carried out by service centres authorised by the manufacturer, otherwise no guarantee or warranty claim can be made in the case of damage and follow-up faults.
Only replace defective components with original spare parts. Only original spare parts guarantee that the safety requirements are met.
DANGER
Danger of electric current!
Do not use the appliance if the mains cable or mains plug is damaged.
Do not open the housing of the appliance. Danger from electric current if live connections are touched and/or the electrical and mechanical configuration is changed.
Never immerse the appliance or the mains cable into water or other liquids.
Pull the plug out of the mains socket, if you are not using the appliance, – if a malfunction occurs during operation, before you clean the appliance.
Risk of suffocation!
Never play with packaging material. Risk of suffocation.

Do not spray air freshener into the air flow.
Do place the appliance in front of an automatic air freshener atomizer system.
ATTENTION
Do not pull the connecting cable ▶ to remove the plug from the mains socket.
Do not put objects into the openings or ventilation grilles.
Keep the appliance free from dust, fluff, hair and above all, anything that could restrict the air flow.
Do not use sharp objects or abrasive/polishing cleaning agents to clean the surfaces.
Do not move the appliance by grip-ping the air ring.
Requirements for the place of use
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the installation location must satisfy the following requirements:
Place the appliance on a firm, dry, flat and waterproof surface.
Do not install the appliance in a hot, wet or very humid environment.
The mains socket must be easily accessible and allow fast disconnection in the event of an emergency.
The surface finishes on furniture may contain substances that can be detrimental to the feet of the appliance. If necessary, place a mat under the feet of the appliance.
Electrical connection
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the following instructions on the electrical connection must be observed:
Before connecting the appliance, ■ compare the connection data (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your mains power supply. This data must correspond in order to avoid damage to the appliance. If in doubt, ask your electrical appliance retailer.
The mains socket must be protected by at least a 10 A automatic circuit breaker.
Ensure that the mains cable is undamaged and is not laid over sharp edges.
■The mains cable must not be pulled tightly, bent or come into contact with hot surfaces.
■Route the mains cable to prevent risk of tripping.
■The electrical safety of the appliance is only assured when it is connected to a properly installed protective earth (PE) conductor system. Connection to a mains socket without PE conductor is forbidden. If in doubt, the electrical system must be checked by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer assumes no liability for injury or damage caused by a missing or interrupted protective earth conductor.
Before using for the first time
Unpacking
Remove the appliance and the user manual from the box.
Remove all packaging materials and protective foils from the product and the accessories before using it for the first time.
NOTE
Do not remove the rating plate or any warning signs on the appliance. If possible, keep the original packaging during the warranty or guarantee period in order to be able to pack the appliance properly in the event of a guarantee claim. Transport damage will invalidate the warranty or guarantee.
Checking the delivery contents
Check for visible signs of damage or missing items.
Report incomplete or damaged con- tents to your supplier immediately.

Operation and use
Switching the appliance on/off
The appliance is switched on and off by pressing the ⏻ button on the operating panel (5).
To switch on the appliance, press the
button on the operating panel. The blue indicator lamp lights up.
To switch off the appliance, press the
button again. The blue indicator lamp extinguishes.
Setting the air flow
Continuous setting of the air flow takes place via the regulator button on the operating panel (5).
Turn the regulator clockwise to set a stronger air flow.
Turn the regulator anticlockwise to set a weaker air flow.
Rotating movement ON/OFF switch (image A1)
Switching the rotating movement on and off takes place via the button on the operating panel (5).
Directing the air flow (see images B1 and B2)
The direction of the airflow is set via the inclination adjustment on the foot (3).
NOTE
Only direct the airflow when the rotating movement is switched off.
Hold the foot tight with one hand. ◆
Change the inclination of the appli- 1ance with the other hand until the desired airflow angle has been set (images B1 and B2).
Operating with the remote control
You can control all electrical functions of the appliance with the remote control.

NOTE
Make sure that there is an unob-structed view between the appliance and the remote control in order to control it with the remote control.
All settings made via the remote control are confirmed by a signal tone.
Timer function
The appliance is equipped with a timer function. To activate this, proceed as follows:
During operation, press the Ⓞ60 button on the remote control. The appliance switches itself off automatically after 60 minutes.
To deactivate the timer, press the ◆ button again.
To activate the timer for 120 minutes, press the 120 button. To deactivate this function, press the 120 button.
Wall mounting (image C1)
It is possible to mount the appliance on a wall. To do this, proceed as follows:
Screw the mounting plate to the wall with the three screws supplied so that the holding elements point upwards.
Hang the appliance onto the mounting ◆ plate.
Direct the airflow.
Connect the appliance to the mains ◆ and switch it on.
Cleaning and maintenance
Before beginning any work, pay attention to the safety instructions in the section Safety instructions (page 13)!
Cleaning the appliance
Pull the plug out of the mains socket.
Wipe the appliance with a dry or ◆ slightly damp cloth.
Eliminate contamination
Check the air inlets and the air slot (2) for free flow.
Eliminate contamination such as dirt or dust particles with a soft brush.
ATTENTION
Do not work on the air slots with tools or clean with wet cloths.
Storage
If you do not intend to use the appliance for a longer period of time, unplug it from the mains and clean it as described in the section Cleaning and maintenance (page 18).
Store the appliance in a dry, clean and frost-free place which is protected against direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting
The following table will help you locate and eliminate minor faults:
