Romeo ENGLISH Quick Guide - English RomeoRomeo 22 ENGLISH Welcome to the world of NGM! Thank you for purchasing NGM Romeo. With this device you can easily make phone calls, send and receive SMS text messages. Thanks to the SOS button you can start an automatic calling procedure towards some previously set numbers in case of emergency. Romeo ENGLISH Insert the SIM card: The SIM card contains your phone number, PIN code, links to operator services, contacts and SMS messages. To access the compartment containing the SIM slot, turn off the phone and slide down the cover. Remove the battery. Insert the SIM card into the slot with its gold contacts facing downwards.

The battery must be inserted into the backside of the phone. Insert the battery into the battery compartment with the contacts facing up, matching with those of the phone. When done, put the hind cover back into position as shown in the following illustrations.

Romeo ENGLISH Charging the battery: Charge the battery before starting to use the device. Connect the charger to a provided wall socket adaptor and then plug the jack into the charging base or insert it directly into its input on the top side of the phone. The charging base can also be connected to a micro USB cable to charge your phone. While the battery is charging, an animated icon on the screen shows the charging progress. Once the battery icon is filled, it is fully charged and the phone can be disconnected from the grid or from the base.

Romeo ENGLISH Turn ON, Turn OFF and keypad lock: to turn on and off your phone, press and hold the red end call key. To avoid the accidental pressure of the buttons on the phone when not in use (e.g. when it is in your pocket), switch the lock key upwards on the right side of the phone. To unlock the keypad, push it downwards. FM radio: first, insert earphone jack into its plug on the upper side of the phone and then push the FM button upwards on the left side of the phone. Press Options > Send > Enter a recipient and enter the number using the numeric keypad or Options > Contacts to select the contact to whom you wish to send the message from the Phonebook. Read SMS: when you receive a new text message, an envelope icon will appear on the top bar (as long as the message hasn’t been read) and a notification pop up appears on the main screen. Press the green button to enter the Inbox or access it from the main screen by selecting Menu > Messages > Inbox. In the messaging menu you can access additional features such as Templates, short preset messages and Memory status, to control how many messages are stored in the phone and in the SIM card.Romeo 32 ENGLISH SOS function: NGM Romeo is equipped with a dedicated button for the fast dialing of emergency calls (*). This feature can be turned on and off by selecting Menu > SOS > Activate. The SOS button is located at the backside of the phone and is activated when you press and hold it for 4-5 seconds, even if the keypad lock is enabled. In case of emergency, the user can use this function to ask for help to up to five phone numbers, previously set in Menu > SOS > SOS numbers. As soon as the SOS function starts, the phone will send out a high volume alarm. Then, it will send an SOS message to the SOS numbers set in Menu > SOS > SMS Recipients. Then, the phone will call the five SOS numbers, for about 20 seconds each. If at the end of the cycle there was no response, theRomeo

Romeo ENGLISH phone will wait for about 30 seconds and then will start a second cycle of calls. This procedure will be repeated for 5 times. If one of the called numbers answers, the cycle will be interrupted and the call will automatically switch to hands-free.
