Frequently Asked Questions - CFT63N CANDY

What is the minimum distance between the hood and the hob?
For an electric cooker, the minimum distance is 50 cm. For a gas or mixed cooker, it is 65 cm. Always follow the hob manufacturer's instructions if they are greater.
How to install the hood in extraction version?
Remove the pre-assembled metal panel corresponding to the chosen air outlet (top or rear). Mount the supplied connector hose and check that selector G is in extraction position (A). The exhaust must go outside.
How to use the hood in recirculation version?
Install a charcoal filter (optional) and ensure the pre-assembled metal panels are in place. Set selector G to recirculation position (F). The fumes will be recycled through the front grille.
What type of lamp to use to replace the lighting?
Use only E14 lamps with a maximum power of 40 W. Before handling, allow the lamps to cool.
How often should the grease filter be cleaned?
The grease filter must be cleaned at least once a month. You can wash it by hand with a mild detergent or in the dishwasher at low temperature and short cycle.
When to replace the charcoal filter?
The charcoal filter (if used) must be replaced every month to ensure effective odor filtration. It is not washable.
Can I use the hood without the grille?
No, never use the hood without the grille properly mounted, as this poses a risk of electric shock and reduces suction efficiency.
What to do in case of insufficient smoke extraction?
Check that selector G is in the correct position (extraction or recirculation). Clean or replace filters. Ensure that the exhaust ducts are not blocked. Use maximum speed if necessary.
How to clean the exterior of the hood?
Use a soft cloth dampened with water and neutral liquid detergent. Never use abrasive products, alcohol, or metal tools that could scratch the surface.
What to do if the hood does not turn on?
Check that the appliance is properly plugged in and that the main switch is on. Check the fuse or circuit breaker. If the problem persists, contact an authorized after-sales service.

Check (for transport reasons) that there is no other supplied material inside the hood (e.g. packets with screws (*), guarantees (*), etc.), eventually removing them and keeping them.

Closely follow the instructions set out in this manual. All responsibility, for any eventual inconveniences, damages or fires caused by not complying with the instructions in this manual, is declined. The hood is conceived for the suction of cooking fumes and steam and is destined only for domestic use.

The hood is supplied with an upper air outlet (circular-A1-bayonet fixture + screw) and at the back (rectangular-A2(*) - fixed with 2 screws) for discharging the fumes outside. (Suction version A), choose the discharge direction desired and remove the corresponding pre-fractural metal wall and mount the connection tube of the same form. Check that selector G is in suction position (A). If it is not possible to discharge the cooking fumes and steam outside, the filtering version hood can be used, mounting a carbon filter (*). The fumes and steam are recycled through a front grill placed over the command panel (do not remove the pre-fractural walls!). Check that selector G is in filtering position (F).
