How to assemble the Domo DO8124 fan?

Place the fan upside down on a soft surface. Assemble the two parts of the base by snapping them together. Thread the power cable through the central hole in the base. Attach the base to the fan using the 4 long screws, aligning the holes. Guide the cable into the cable guide on the base. Turn the appliance over: it is ready to use.

How to use the remote control of the DO8124 fan?

Remove the plastic tab from the battery compartment at the back of the remote control (CR2025 battery included). The remote control controls all functions: on/off, speed, mode, timer, oscillation. Point it at the control panel.

How to clean the DOMO DO8124 fan?

Turn off and unplug the appliance. Use a soft cloth slightly dampened with warm soapy water to clean the exterior. Do not use solvents or thinners. Never immerse the appliance in water.

What are the available speeds on the DO8124 fan?

The fan has 3 speeds: I (low), II (medium), III (high). Press the SPEED button to select them. The speed is displayed on the LED screen.

How to set the timer on the DO8124 fan?

Press the TIMER button. The delay can be set in increments from 0.5 h to 7.5 h. The LCD screen shows the programmed time. The fan will turn off automatically at the end of the delay.

How to activate oscillation on the Domo DO8124 fan?

Press the OSC button to turn oscillation on or off. When activated, the fan pivots left and right for better air distribution.

What are the operating modes of the DO8124 fan?

Three modes: NM (Normal): constant speed; NT (Natural): simulates a natural breeze with pauses; SL (Sleep): copies Natural mode but gradually reduces the maximum speed every 30 minutes down to speed I.

A slight operating noise is normal, especially at high speed. If the noise is excessive, check that the fan is properly assembled, on a flat and stable surface. Make sure no objects are obstructing the blades. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service.

This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The guarantee is issued with the original till receipt. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty.

If your device breaks down within the 2-year warranty period, you can return the device together with your receipt to the shop where you purchased it.

The guarantee on accessories and components that are liable to wear-and-tear is only 6 months.

The guarantee and responsibility of the supplier and manufacturer lapse automatically in the following cases:

• If the instructions in this manual have not been followed.
  · In case of incorrect connection, e.g., electrical voltage that is too high.
  · In case of incorrect, rough or abnormal use.
  · In case of insufficient or incorrect maintenance.
• In case of repairs or alterations to the device by the consumer or non-authorised third parties.
• If the customer used parts or accessories that are not recommended or provided by the supplier / manufacturer.

But only on the condition that these persons have received the necessary instructions on how to use this appliance in a safe way and know the dangers that can occur by using this appliance.

Maintenance and cleaning of the appliance may not be done by children, unless they are older than 16 years old and are under supervision. Keep the appliance out of reach of children younger than 16 years old.

This appliance is suitable to be used in a household environment and in similar surroundings such as:

· Hotel or motel rooms and other surroundings with a residential character

Attention: This appliance cannot be used with an external timer or a separate remote control.

• Read all instructions before use.
• Before use, check if the voltage stated on the appliance corresponds with the voltage of the power net at your home.

- Keep the cord away from sharp edges and hot parts or other heat sources.
· Before use, remove all packaging materials and any promotional stickers.

- Do not insert any objects into the fan, as this may cause electric shock, injuries or damage to the appliance. Do not block or tamper with the fan when it is operating.

• Do not use this fan in any wet or humid areas. Do not place the fan too close to a bath tub or any other water container.
  · Under extreme circumstances, there could be leakage of the battery.

• If the liquid from the battery comes into contact with the skin, remove all contaminated clothing and immediately wash the skin profusely with soap and water or take a shower. Contact a physician immediately if you continue to feel a burning sensation.

• If the liquid comes into contact with the eyes, rinse abundantly with water for at least 15 minutes until the irritation subsides and contact a doctor immediately.
• When inhaling any fumes that were released, immediately move into the fresh air and take a deep breath in and out. Contact a doctor immediately if you experience shortness of breath, dizziness, or headaches.
• If a battery or the liquid from a battery is swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately. Try not to induce vomiting and do not eat or drink anything.

ASSEMBLY

1. Turn the fan upside down and put it on a soft surface, so that the control panel can not get damaged.
2. Click the 2 parts of the base together.
3. Lead the cord through the middle opening at the top of the base.

4. Place the base on the bottom of the fan, so that the screw holes in the bottom of the fan and in the base are aligned. Make sure that the part of the base with the cord guides is situated at the back of the fan.

5. Fasten the base on the fan using the 4 long screws.

6. Leid the cord through the cord guides in the base.

7. Turn the fan upside down again. The appliance is now ready for use.

Remote control

The battery CR2025 is included. Remove the plastic safety clip from the battery compartment at the back of the remote control before use.

USE

You can control the fan with the buttons on the control panel as well as with the buttons on the remote control.

Place the fan on a flat, stable surface. Plug it in.

POWER

Switch on the fan by pressing the POWER button. Switch off the fan by pressing the POWER button for a second time.

SPEED

Select the desired air speed by pressing the SPEED button. The selected speed will be indicated on the LED display:

· I: low speed
· II: medium speed
· III: high speed

MODE

There are 3 different modes, which you can select by pressing the MODE button. The selected mode will be indicated on the LED display:

• NM - Normal: the fan will operate at a constant speed, namely the speed that you have selected.
• NT - Natural: the fan simulates a natural, cool breeze. The different speeds are alternated, interrupted by breaks in which the fan does not operate for a moment. The maximum speed that occurs in the breeze can be selected by using the SPEED button.
• SL - Sleep: this mode is a copy of the natural mode but the fan will decrease in maximum speed every half hour and will eventually continue to operate on the lowest speed I. So if you have selected speed III, for example, the fan will start at speed III and will work in natural mode. After half an hour it will switch to speed II where it will work in natural mode. After another half hour it will switch to speed I in natural mode. It will continue to operate at speed I now.

TIMER

You can set the timer from 0,5 hour upto 7,5 hours with the TIMER button. The set time is indicated on the LED display. It is the sum of the time indications next to which the red dot is lit. So:

The fan will automatically switch off when the set time has passed.

OSC

With this button you can switch the oscillation function on and off. When it is switched on, it will alternately turn to left and right to better spread the air.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

· Maintenance of this appliance may only be carried out by a qualified service or person.
- If it is necessary to clean the outside of the appliance, then make sure that the appliance is switched off and unplugged. Use a soft cloth to clean the outside of the appliance. To remove persistent dirt or stains, you can dampen the cloth a bit with warm soapy water.
· Do not use any solvents, like thinners, as they may damage the appliance.
