All persons who have not read the instruction manual are not allowed to use this appliance.
Pay ATTENTION to the warranty conditions.
I. SAFETY REGULATIONS
This appliance has been built in accordance with the European CE safety standards and is compliant with the general recognized standards and prescriptions with regard to the safety of appliances. As for all electrical appliances, the necessary precautions need to be taken in order to avoid accidents or damages.
- ATTENTION please! Burning danger! Due to the use of the appliance the surface becomes hot. Only touch the handles or the control buttons when the appliance is in action.
- ATTENTION please! After switching off the appliance surfaces stay hot which causes burning danger. Let the appliance cool down completely before replacing it, cleaning it or putting it away.
- This appliance may be used by children of min. 8 years old, by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge on condition they are supervised and instructed to use the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children may not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Cooking appliances should be positioned in a stable situation with the handles (if any) positioned to avoid spillage of the hot liquids.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and for applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other operating environments;
○ farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.
- This appliance is intended to be used at room temperature. NEVER use the appliance outdoor.
- NEVER touch the control buttons, the electrical cord or the plug with wet hands, and NEVER immerse them in water or any other liquid. They are only to be cleaned with a damp cloth. Should they get wet anyway, immediately pull out the plug from the socket.
- A damaged cord can cause electric shocks. NEVER use the appliance if it is damaged, fallen or shows a malfunction, or if the cord or plug are damaged.
- Immediately switch off the appliance and pull out the plug: after use or when the appliance is NOT in use, if the appliance does not function properly and when cleaning the appliance.
- NEVER use separate timers or remote control systems.
- The soup maker can only be used with 230V AC.
- For your own safety, the appliance will only work if it has been assembled correctly. Check that all parts were assembled correctly.
- Only use this appliance to prepare beverages/food (soup, puree, cream,...).
- NEVER leave the appliance unattended and NEVER move it when operating.
- Check the appliance and the power cord for any damage. Do not use the appliance and return it to the sales point in case of damage.
- NEVER move the appliance when it's filled with hot liquid.
- NEVER let the cord hang over the edge of the table or the counter.
- Always unroll the cord completely. NEVER turn the power cord around the baking oven, NEVER bend it or squeeze it.
- NEVER touch the knives with your hands.
- ALWAYS switch off the appliance and pull out the plug
*after use or when the appliance is not in use
*if the maker doesn't function properly
*when cleaning the appliance
- NEVER pull the cord itself to pull the plug from the socket.
- NEVER use extension cords and ALWAYS unroll the cord completely.
- NEVER use the cord in the proximity of sources of heat, such as ovens, stoves or heating
- NEVER cover the appliance when it's working.
- Only use original accessories.
- Only use the appliance with the mains voltage as mentioned on the rating label.
- Repairs can only be executed by a recognized expert or a recognized repair shop.
- The appliance is intended for household use and cannot be used for more than 3 minutes at a time when using the blender function.
- Remove all packaging and stickers.
- Before the first use we recommend to clean all components thoroughly (see 'Cleaning').
- Assemble the appliance correctly.
Place the lid as illustrated on the drawing:

Place the lid on the jug and turn clockwise until both handles are aligned.

- Be careful when placing the jug on the motor block. Otherwise the appliance could get damaged.
- Ensure that the voltage marked on the appliance is the same as your main voltage.
- According to the safety law: only use earthed sockets.
III. GENERAL USE
- Plug in the appliance
- The control lights on the push buttons will light up.
- The appliance will switch to standby mode if no action is taken within 1 minute. All chosen settings will be cancelled.
- The appliance is ready for use.
The appliance can be used for following functions:
- Mixer/blender function (see below: SETTINGS)

Heating function (see below: SETTINGS)
This function can also be used in combination with the mixer/blender function. -
Soup function (see below: SETTINGS)
a. Smooth
b. Chunky
c. Heat (Julienne Soup)
- To set a function: press the push button and then immediately press the ON-OFF button. The appliance will start according to the programmed setting.
REMARK: the control light on the ON-OFF switch blinks when the machine is running and lights up continuously when it's in standby mode.
- To cancel a set function, press the ON-OFF button.
- ATTENTION: NEVER place the appliance on a wet surface or wet towel.
- Never let the motor block come into contact with liquids. If this happens, immediately remove the plug and have the appliance checked by a recognized repairman.
- ATTENTION: NEVER put your hands or kitchen utensils into the jug as long as it's placed on the motor block.
- Only use wooden, rubber or plastic kitchen utensils. Do not force the food downwards and gently remove remaining food from the knives. The soup maker does not allow following actions: beating egg whites, grinding meat, making dough, grinding coffee or chocolate.
IV. TIPS FOR PREPARING FOOD
First add the liquid ingredients to the jug. Slice solid food (vegetables, fruit, ...) into pieces of about 2cm. Do not overload the motor by using too large quantities at once or too solid ingredients. If the motor seizes up, immediately press the OFF button to avoid overheating.
Mix the ingredients for a few seconds only. Repeat regularly.
V. SETTINGS
=> Place the jug on the motor block as described above.
=> Add the ingredients to the jug.
=> Place the lid on the jug and press firmly. Close the opening in the lid by using the measuring cup. Place the measuring cup in the slots on the lid and turn clockwise to lock the measuring cup.
=>If you wish to add extra ingredients, remove the measuring cup from the lid. Add the ingredients and place back the measuring cup. Attention: when using the Heat, Smooth or Chunky mode, hot steam will be released when removing the measuring cup. This is normal.
1. MIXER/BLENDER FUNCTION
a) Turn the rotary knob to position 1-3. The firmness of the ingredients will mainly determine which position to use.
b) The Pulse function can only be used when the rotary knob is on position "0". Then turn the knob a quarter turn to the left. The motor runs as long as you maintain the knob in this position. Once you release the knob, the motors stops running.
=> This function can also be used for crushing ice or making delicious smoothies.

2. HEATING FUNCTION
Temperature setting:
-
HIGH (high temperature: 100^ C) → press the "Heat" button once
-
Press the "Heat" button once to select the temperature of 100°C. The button will blink.
- Then press the ON-OFF button to start the program.
- The requested temperature will be kept at 100^ C (+/- 2^ C). (the program will adjust itself according to the actual temperature)
- The pre-set cooking time is 30 minutes.
-
When the program is finished, a sound signal will sound 4 times.

MEDIUM (medium temperature: 80°C) → press the "Heat" button twice

Press the "Heat" button twice to select the temperature of 80°C. The button will blink.
- Then press the ON-OFF button to start the program.
- The requested temperature will be kept at 80°C (+/- 2°C). (the program will adjust itself according to the actual temperature)
- The pre-set cooking time is 30 minutes.

When the program is finished, a sound signal will sound 4 times.

LOW (low temperature: 60°C) → press the "Heat" button 3x
-
Press the "Heat" button 3x to select the temperature of 60^ . The button will blink.
- Then press the ON-OFF button to start the program.
- The requested temperature will be kept at 60^ C (+/- 2^ C). (the program will adjust itself according to the actual temperature)
- The pre-set cooking time is 30 minutes.
- When the program is finished, a sound signal will sound 4 times.
During the heating process, the preparation can be blended manually if needed. (See above: Mixer/Blender function)
Liquid preparations can be poured out directly from the jug.
3. SOUP FUNCTION
a) ATTENTION: To avoid the spilling over of the soup, we advise not to pour over 1,7L of cold liquid, or not over 1,4 L of warm liquid into the jug, but never more than the max indication.
b) Program choice:
1. SMOOTH
- Press the "Smooth" button to prepare a smooth soup.

Pre-set cooking time for this function is 25 minutes.
-
Press the "Smooth" button once. The button will blink. Then press the ON-OFF button to start the program.
- The requested temperature will be maintained at 100^ C (+/- 2^ C). (the program will adjust itself according to the actual temperature.
- When the program is finished, a sound signal will sound 4 times.
- The appliance will keep warm for 40 minutes at 75-85 °C. After that, the sound signals will sound 4 times again.
2. CHUNKY
- Press the "Chunky" button to make thick soup.
- Pre-set cooking time for this function is 28 minutes.
- Press the "Chunky" button once. The button will blink. Then press the ON-OFF button to start the program.
- The requested temperature will be maintained at 100^ C (+/- 2^ C). (the program will adjust itself according to the actual temperature.
- When the program is finished, a sound signal will sound 4 times.
- The appliance will keep warm for 40 minutes at 75-85 °C. After that, the sound signals will sound 4 times again.
3. HEAT
Use this function as described above to make Julienne Soup for example.
IMPORTANT: when the appliance is working with hot liquids, it is important to keep the lid and measuring cup on the jug to avoid injuries.
VI. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Clean the appliance after every use.
Automatic cleaning function
- To clean the appliance easily and fast, the appliance disposes of a cleaning function.
- Pour about 1,5L water with a little detergent into the jug, press the "Heat" button 3x to set the temperature of 60°C. Turn of the heating once the water has reached the temperature and blend on position 1 during 1 minute. Pour away the water, add fresh water and blend again for 1 minute.
- The left-over bits will come loose from under the knife.
- Rinse and dry the appliance carefully.
Motor block
- Never immerse the motor block in water or any other liquid. Only clean with a damp cloth.
Accessories
- The closing lid, measuring cup can be cleaned in water with some detergent.
- Never immerse the jug in water or any other liquid. Only clean with a damp cloth.
- Attention: the knives are very sharp!
- After cleaning, dry all parts thoroughly and store them away in a dry, ventilated place.
VII. PRACTICAL TIPS IN CASE OF MALFUNCTIONS
Do not use the appliance in case of a malfunction of when the power cord is damaged. Please address to your sales point or contact NV van RATINGEN. (contact details at the back)
THE APPLIANCE HAS BEEN DESIGNED FOR DOMESTIC USE. THE WARRANTY CONDITIONS EXPIRE UPON PROFESSIONAL USE.
DEFECTS AND/OF DAMAGES FOLLOWING TO THE NON OBSERVANCE OF THE USER MANUAL ARE NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY.
We are entitled to make technical modifications at all times.
VIII. WARRANTY CONDITIONS
Your warranty starts on the day of purchase and is valid for 2 years and will only apply after submitting the purchasing invoice.
Determination of the warranty
- The warranty covers every repair and/or replacement free of charge of the motor block recognized defective by our Department of Service after Sale if the damage is due to faulty design, material or construction. The warranty does not cover damage or normal wear of the jug, lid, filling cup/measuring jug.
- The warranty is only valid for the first/original user.
- The transport costs are at the expenses of the purchaser.
- The warranty is only granted after presentation of your purchase invoice.
- The warranty cannot be invoked for normal wear and tear
The warranty expires automatically in the following cases:
- Incorrect connection, e.g. electric voltages.
- Abnormal or professional use or misuse handling
- Lack of care and cleaning
- Modifications or repairs made to the appliance by persons not authorized by us as a manufacturer.
- When reference numbers have been altered or been removed.
- When not respecting the instructions in the user instructions
IX. ENVIRONMENT

Do not throw the appliance away with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this you will help to preserve the environment.
X. LIABILITIES
All liabilities, towards both consumer(s) and third parties, that could result from not observing all the safety regulations prescribed in this user manual, can under no circumstances be charged to the manufacturer. In case of non-observation of these safety regulations, the user of the deep fryer, or any other person not having observed these safety regulations, protects the manufacturer from all responsibilities that he could be charged with.
