Operation Brewing Coffee Using a Paper Filter Note:Danger of serious burns!
1. Place the appliance on an even and heat resistant surface and connect it to a properly installed wall socket.

Using the permanent filter When using the permanent filter, do not insert a paper filter! Instead of inserting a paper filter into the filter holder (6) you can insert the permanent filter (6) into the filter holder. Add yourgroundedcoffeeandfollowsteps5–9. After use, remove the grounded coffee and clean the permanent filter (6) as described under Cleaning and Care. Note: If you wish to prepare more than one pot of coffee, the appliance has to be switched off for approx. 5 minutes, in order to cool down. Always disconnect the appliance from the mains if you are not using it! Cleaning and Care Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains. DESCALING Depending on the water quality and usage, calcification can occur. Therefore, to keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you should descale it on a regular basis. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. After descaling, always rinse your appliance as described under Before First Use. Note: Descaler mixtures should not be poured down enamel coated sinks. Storage Disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it completely cool down. Keep the appliance away from children and store it in a clean and dry place.
