OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

BASIC OPERATIONS

1. Ensure that the attachment is properly locked into the tool base.
2. Plug appliance into the correct power source.
3. Place thermal glove on the hand prior to turning the tool on.
4. Press the power button once to turn on the iron.
5. To select from the preset temperature settings use the () or () buttons.

Fine:170°C

Medium: 180^ C - 190^ C

Coarse: 200^ C - 215^ C

1. The selected temperature will illuminate and blink until the iron has reached the desired setting.
2. After 1 hour of stand-by, the tool will shut off.
3. To turn off the tool, press the power button once.
4. Unplug the tool directly from the wall; do not pull on the cord.

ATTACHMENT PLACEMENT & REMOVAL

1. Ensure that the iron is unplugged and not heated before adding or switching attachments.
2. Using the thermal glove provided, attach the desired styling attachment to the tool base by lining up the arrow to the arrow on the UNLOCK position. To lock attachment in to place: Press down the attachment at the cool tip end and twist the handle ring to the left to match up the arrow to the arrow on the LOCK position.

TO UNLOCK THE ATTACHMENT: Allow the attachment to cool and turn the tool off before removing as it may still be heated. Twist the handle ring to the right to match up the arrow to the arrow on the UNLOCK position.

MAINTENANCE

Your appliance is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is needed. Keep heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance from the power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.

When in frequent daily use, set the iron on a thermal mat or other proper surface.

Electrical converters CANNOT be used.

If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair the tool yourself. Call the Customer Service. (See "LIMITED WARRANTY" Section).

GROUND INSTRUCTIONS, SERVICING OF DOUBLE-INSULATED APPLIANCES

In a double-insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a means for grounding be added to the appliance.

Servicing a double-insulated appliance requires extreme care and knowledge of the system and should be done only by a qualified service personnel. Replacement parts for a double-insulated appliance must be identical to the parts they replace. A double-insulated appliance is marked with the words "DOUBLE INSULATION or DOUBLE INSULATED." What Does This Warranty Cover? Any malfunction or defect caused by faulty materials or workmanship for any Farouk Systems, Inc. appliance that was purchased through a professional salon or professional salon chain.

How Long Does The Warranty Last? Two (2) year from the date of purchase. Limitations. (A) THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, GOOD AND WORKMANLIKE PERFORMANCE OF SERVICE, OR OTHERWISE, ON THIS PRODUCT ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE WHICH IS TWO (2) YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE. What Will Farouk Do? Farouk Systems, Inc. will replace your appliance at no charge other than a (15.00 return shipping and handling fee. The replacement appliance is warranted for the remainder of the original two (2) year warranty period. If the tool sent in is no longer available, it will be replaced with a comparable tool.

What Does This Warranty Not Cover? This warranty does not cover any steel parts; plastic parts; flex cord; damages caused by negligence, misuse, tampering, alteration, failure to follow safety, operation or maintenance instructions; appliances purchased through any internet auction site or from any other outlet that is not an authorized reseller; or alteration or removal of the model number or other identifying marks on the appliance or the packaging. Further, this warranty does not cover normal wear and tear.

How to make a warranty claim. SAVE YOUR ORIGINAL RECEIPT. Then Either:

(A) Return the appliance with the original receipt to the professional salon or professional salon chain from which it was purchased where the appliance may be exchanged at no charge, depending on the reseller's exchange policy (terms and conditions may vary depending on store's exchange policy);
