General Notes
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this appliance to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
- Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
- Do not operate the appliance without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the appliance off. Remove the plug from the socket.
- The appliance and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the appliance must not be used.
- Use only original spare parts.
- In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

WARNING OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
Do not use this appliance near baths, wash basins or other vessels containing water.

WARNING:
- If the appliance is used in the bathroom, disconnect it from the mains after use as nearby water presents a hazard. This also applies if the appliance is switched off.

WARNING:
- As additional protection we recommend the installation of a fault current protection appliance (FI / RCD) with a rated current of not more than 30 mA in the wiring system of the bathroom. Please contact an authorised electrician for advice.
- The nozzle gets hot during operation! Risk of burns!
- Please ensure that the inlet grille remains free of fluff and hairs. Danger of fire!
- Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Always contact an authorized technician. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children must not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children, unless they are supervised.
- This appliance is not intended to be immersed in water during cleaning. Please observe the instructions that we have included for you in the chapter “Cleaning”.

Notes on Use
This appliance is designed for drying hair and to be a styling aid. You have several options for using it. There are various attachments available to you:
Hair-Dryer Hood
If you wish to dry your hair gently and evenly, attach the hair-dryer hood attachment. Style your hair or put in curlers, as usual. Put on the hair-dryer hood.

NOTE:
- High temperatures can arise in areas with little or no hair between the hair-dryer hood and the skin. Select the correct heat /blowing level.
- Warm air can blow into the ears.
- Oil and grease can leave traces on the hair-dryer hood. Clean these as directed under "Cleaning".
Hair Dryer
If you wish to dry specific sections of your hair only, attach the styling nozzle. That will concentrate the air flow.
Round brush (Curling brush)
If you wish to style your hair curly, attach the round brush. Comb your hair and separate it into single strands. Twist one hair strand around the brush starting from the tips all the way to the hairline. Keep holding the appliance in that position for several seconds until the desired degree of drying and styling has been achieved.
Assembly/Disassembly of Attachments

WARNING: Risk of burns!
If you want to change an attachment directly after use, let the appliance cool down first!

CAUTION:
The locking mechanism can break if you install or remove the attachments in any other way than as described.
Note the guides on the basic appliance and in the attachments. The attachments have an additional marking on the outer edge.
- Put on an attachment until it audibly snaps into place. Make sure that the marking is in line with the button.
- Press the button on the basic appliance in order to release the locking. Remove the attachment.
Electrical Connection
- Before inserting the plug into the socket, make sure that the mains voltage to be used matches that of the appliance. You can find this information on the nameplate.
- Connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed socket.
Use
- After washing your hair dry it with a towel.
- Select the desired attachment.
- Unwind the mains cable completely.
- Shift the switch on the handle to one of the desired heat / blowing levels:
Level 0: Off
Level 1: Medium temperature
Level 2: High temperature
Level*: Cold setting for style fix
Ionizing Function – Reduction of Static in Hair
The appliance is also fitted with an ionizer which gives off negative ions with the air flow when switching on. This process supports safe, gentle drying of hair and also promotes a better hair structure, maximizes hair volume, provides for a silky finish and also reduces static in the hair.
This process is particularly gentle on stressed hair.
Switch-off
Set the bottom switch to "0" after use and disconnect from the mains.
Storage
- Leave the appliance to cool down before putting it away!
- Remove the attachment.

NOTE:
Let the hair-dryer hood dry completely after use!
- Stow the appliance and the attachments in the provided storage bag.
- You also have the option to hang the appliance on the suspension eye.
Mains Cable
- The mains cable should only be wound up loosely.
- Never tie the cable tightly round the appliance, as over time this may result in the cable breaking.
- Check the mains cable regularly for damage.
Cleaning

WARNING:
- Before cleaning remove the mains lead from the socked.
- Under no circumstances should you immerse the appliance in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.

CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
- Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
Clean the housing, the hair-dryer hood and the attachments with a soft, dry cloth without additives.
Air Intake Grill
Regularly clean the grille located on the intake side of the appliance in order to avoid excessive temperatures from heat accumulation.
- Remove any dirt that is present.
- If necessary, a fine brush can be used.
