How to install the FUAT50010 push button?

Open the housing by unscrewing the screw under the protective cover. Loosen the three internal screws, then mount the back panel at the desired location (hallway, bedroom, under a counter). Insert the supplied CR2477N lithium battery. For pairing, put the Secvest control panel into learn mode and trigger the tamper contact.

How to replace the battery?

Unscrew the housing, remove the old battery and insert a new 3V CR2477N lithium battery. Observe polarity. Close the housing. Do not dispose of the used battery with household waste; take it to an appropriate collection point.

What is the radio signal range?

The maximum range is 50 meters in open field. Indoors, it may be reduced by walls and obstacles. For optimal reliability, avoid long distances from the control panel.

Is the FUAT50010 compatible with control panels other than Secvest?

No, this push button is specially designed to work with ABUS Secvest wireless alarm control panel. It is not compatible with other systems.

Can the push button be tested without triggering an alarm?

Yes, you can test the radio link in the control panel's maintenance mode. Consult your Secvest control panel manual to activate this mode or to simulate a trigger without alerting.

What is the recommended installation height?

It is recommended to install the push button at an accessible height, for example 1.20 meters from the floor, or under a counter at hand height. The key is that it is discreet but easy to reach in an emergency.

Is the housing waterproof?

The housing is designed for indoor use. It is not waterproof. Avoid exposure to water or excessive humidity. Environmental class II indicates a temperature range of -10°C to +50°C, but without water protection.

How to clean the push button?

Use a soft dry cloth to dust the housing. Do not use harsh cleaning agents or solvents, as they may damage the surface.

What to do in case of inadvertent triggering?

If the alarm triggers without reason, first check that the button was not accidentally pressed. If the problem persists, remove the battery for a few seconds then reinsert it. If the malfunction continues, contact after-sales service.

Battery warning!

Introduction

The FUAT50010 wireless panic button is an optional accessory for the Secvest wireless alarm centre. A panic alarm can be triggered easily and discretely at the touch of

a button. Depending on the centre settings, this alarm is either silent or localised. The alarm is also triggered when the centre is deactivated.

Installation

Open the housing by loosening the screw under the button cover and removing the upper side of the housing. Loosen the three screws which connect the button and the transmitter with the rear of the housing. Attach the rear side of the housing to the desired position (ideally near the entrance of residential units, in sleeping quarters or underneath shop counters).

Insert the supplied 3 V lithium battery (size CR2477N).

Learning

1. Set the Secvest wireless alarm centre into learning mode. Consult the instructions of the alarm centre for more details.

2. Activate the tamper contact of the panic button to send a tamper message to the wireless alarm system. The alarm centre recognises the button and immediately allocates the "Panic" zone attribute.

3. Make sure that the button is recognised by your wireless alarm centre, then attach the remaining components.
