How to use the preset modes of the Wolf WGKT100S kettle?

Turn the mode selector dial to the desired position: GREEN (80°C), WHITE (82°C), OOLONG (85°C) or BLACK/HERBAL (96°C). Fill with water, close the lid, place the kettle on the base and press START/STOP to start the cycle.

How to change the temperature scale between °C and °F?

Hold down the KEEP WARM button for more than 5 seconds until the display toggles from °F to °C or vice versa.

How to use the keep warm function?

Before starting the cycle, press KEEP WARM, then turn the knob to set the duration (up to 1 hour). Then press START/STOP to start heating. The function activates automatically when the programmed temperature is reached.

What to do if the screen displays E01?

Press the KEEP WARM button. If the error persists, contact Wolf customer service at 844 885-8770.

What does the display "FIL H2O" mean?

This indicates that the kettle is low on water or not properly placed on the base. Fill with water to the MAX level or reposition it on the base, then press START/STOP.

How to clean the Wolf WGKT100S kettle?

Unplug and let cool. Hand wash the container with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Never immerse the base or container in water. For the stainless steel exterior, use a non-abrasive cleaner like Signature Polish.

How to descale the inside of the kettle?

Place 3 g (1/2 tsp) of cream of tartar in the container, fill with water to the MAX level, close the lid, set to MANUAL mode at 100°C and start the cycle. Discard the water and rinse several times.

Can I use the kettle without water?

No. The kettle automatically shuts off if turned on without water or if the water evaporates completely. Unplug it, let it cool for 20 minutes, then refill with water before reuse.

Is the kettle suitable for liquids other than water?

No, it is designed only for heating water. Any other liquid may contaminate the interior and void the warranty.

• Be certain kettle lid is securely in place during operation and when pouring hot water. Do not use force when placing lid on kettle.
• The kettle outer surface is subject to residual heat after use. Allow to cool before touching.

PARTS AND FEATURES

1. Lid with Filter: The lid is used to keep dust and other contaminants from the water. The filter is used to filter scale that may form in the water after boiling.
2. Removable Seal: Holds the lid in place.
3. Vessel: Holds the water to be heated.
4. Base: Provides a stable platform and electrical connection to the body.
5. Control Panel: Controls the functions of the kettle. See explanation of icons and buttons below.
6. Mode Selector Bezel: Choice of MANUAL, GREEN, WHITE, OOLONG, or BLACK/HERBAL.
7. Knob: Controls manual temperature or keep warm time.

Using Your Kettle

BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Pull up on the lid to remove. Fill the vessel with water to the MAX fill line on the Water Level Window.

1. Turn the mode selector bezel to MANUAL. The screen will display 212^ (100^) . Press the START/STOP button to turn the kettle ON. The kettle will bring the water to a boil, then shut off automatically.

1. Discard water and repeat 2-3 times, rinsing out the vessel each time. The kettle is now ready for use.

CHOOSING A MODE

1. MANUAL mode allows you to set the kettle to a custom temperature.
2. GREEN mode sets the temperature to 175^ (80^)
3. WHITE mode sets the temperature to 180^ (82^)
4. OOLONG mode sets the temperature to 185^ (85^)
5. BLACK/HERBAL mode sets the temperature to 205^ (96^)
6. Standby mode. If no buttons are pressed for 30 seconds,

the kettle enters standby mode. Only the Wolf Gourmet logo is displayed. To wake from standby mode, press any button, turn the knob, or turn the mode selector bezel.

CHANGING TEMPERATURE SCALE FROM ^ TO ^

1. Press and hold the KEEP WARM button for more than 5 seconds, then release it. The screen will automatically switch between ^ F and ^ C .

MANUAL HEATING MODE

1. Plug the kettle into a grounded power outlet. Rotate the mode selector bezel to MANUAL.

1. Remove the vessel from the base and the lid from the vessel. Fill with the desired amount of water.

WARNING

Burn Hazard:

Do not fill above the MAX level (50 oz [1.5 liter]). If above this level, water can boil out of the vessel, creating a burn hazard.

NOTE: If your kettle is accidentally switched on without being filled with water, or is allowed to boil dry, the kettle will automatically switch off. You should:

• Unplug the kettle and wait about 20 minutes for the element to cool down.

• Refill the vessel; then use as normal.

• Place the lid on the vessel. Place the vessel on the base.

1. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the temperature, or counterclockwise to decrease the temperature. The maximum temperature is 212^ (100^) . The minimum temperature is 95^ (35^) .
2. Press the START/STOP button to begin the heating cycle. The kettle will chime once for confirmation.
3. As the water heats, the display will alternate between the actual temperature and the set temperature.

1. Once the actual temperature reaches the set temperature, the kettle will chime three times and display OFF.

PRESETHEATINGMODE

1. Plug the kettle into a grounded power outlet. Rotate the mode selector bezel to the desired preset mode:

GREEN mode sets the temperature to 175^ (80^)

• WHITE mode sets the temperature to 180^ (82^)

• OOLONG mode sets the temperature to 185^ F (85^ C) .

• BLACK/HERBAL mode sets the temperature to 205^ F ( 96^ C ).

1. Remove the vessel from the base. Remove the lid from the vessel. Fill with the desired amount of water.

USING THE KEEP WARM FUNCTION

1. The keep warm function works at all temperatures. The maximum keep warm time is one hour.

2. To enable the keep warm function, press the KEEP WARM button before you start the heating cycle.

1. Set the keep warm time. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the keep warm time, or counterclockwise to decrease the keep warm time. (If knob is not turned within 3 seconds of pressing the KEEP WARM button, the keep warm function will not be enabled.)

1. Press the START/STOP button to begin the heating cycle. (If the START/STOP button is not pressed after setting the keep warm time, the keep warm function will not be enabled and the kettle will enter standby mode.)

1. After the actual temperature reaches the set temperature, the keep warm timer will count down until 0:00 is reached. The kettle will chime three times and display OFF.

NOTE: When the vessel is lifted from the base, the keep warm function stops. To resume the keep warm function, follow steps 2 and 3.

WARNING

Electrical Shock Hazard:

Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off pad and touch electrical parts, causing a risk of electric shock.

Your appliance should be cleaned regularly for best performance and long life. Regular cleaning will also reduce the risk of fire.

BEFORE CLEANING

Unplug the kettle and allow to cool completely.

CLEANING

Control Panel Display	Wipe with a slightly damp sponge. Protect display when cleaning any other surfaces.
Stainless Steel Exterior	Use a nonabrasive stainless steel cleaner, such as Signature Polish, and apply with a soft, lint-free cloth. To bring out the natural luster, lightly wipe surface with a water-dampened microfiber cloth followed by a dry polishing cloth. Always follow the grain of stainless steel. Signature Polish can be ordered via their website at www/signaturepolishonline.com.
Non-Stainless Steel Exterior	Wipe outside of kettle with a damp cloth or spray with all-purpose cleaner. Wipe clean with a lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads.
Stainless Steel Vessel	Allow vessel to cool before washing. Hand-wash in warm, soapy water with a sponge, dishcloth, or plastic pad. Do not fully immerse vessel in water. Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads, or harsh detergents. Although stainless steel is very durable, it is not indestructible. Pitting may result if undissolved salt is allowed to remain in the bottom of the vessel.
Lid with Filter Hand-wash in warm, soapy water with a sponge or dishcloth.
Vessel Interior If kettle floor discolors: It is normal for stainless steel heating elements to discolor. This does not affect the performance of the kettle. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or cleaners since this may damage the stainless steel surface. To avoid scale/lime deposit buildup, empty vessel after each use. To remove discoloration or scale/lime deposit from heating element: Place 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) cream of tartar (available in the spice aisle of grocery store) into vessel. Then fill vessel to MAX level (50 oz [1.5 liter]). Place lid on vessel. Place vessel on base. Plug kettle into a grounded power outlet. Rotate mode selector bezel to MANUAL. Turn knob clockwise to reach maximum temperature of 212°F (100°C). Press START/STOP button to begin heating cycle. When kettle reaches set temperature, kettle will chime three times and display OFF. Discard vessel water and rinse several times with clean tap water.

Troubleshooting

'E 01' is on display.

• Press the KEEP WARM button. If 'E 01' is still on the display, contact our Customer Care Center.

'E 02' or 'E 03' is on display.

• Turn the knob clockwise or counterclockwise. If 'E 02' or 'E03' is still on the display, contact our Customer Care Center.

'E 07' is on display.

• Press the START/STOP button. If 'E 07' is still on the display, contact our Customer Care Center.

'E 08' is on display.

• Press the KEEP WARM and START/STOP buttons, and turn the knob clockwise or counterclockwise. If 'E 08' is still on the display, contact our Customer Care Center.

'FIL H2O' is on display.

• Fill the vessel with water and place the vessel back on the base. Press the START/ STOP button to begin heating.

NOTES:

• If water overflows from the vessel spout during heating, too much water was added to the vessel. The MAX level is 50 oz. (1.5 liter).
• If the lid falls off of the vessel when pouring, the seal is not in place. Ensure the lower seal is properly installed in the lid before each use.

This Wolf Gourmet product warranty applies only to appliances. Wolf Gourmet warrants appliances to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of original purchase.

LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY

This Wolf Gourmet product warranty applies only to cookware and cutlery products. Wolf Gourmet warrants cookware and cutlery to be free of defects in materials or workmanship for the lifetime of the product. Minor imperfections and discolorations are normal and are not considered defects.

TERMS APPLICABLE TO EACH WARRANTY

This Wolf Gourmet Residential Limited Warranty applies to appliances, cookware and cutlery purchased and used in the United States or Canada. This is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other warranty.

During the warranty period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to us and our returning a product or component under this warranty to you. If the product or component is no longer available, we will replace with a similar one of equal or greater value.

This warranty does not cover wear from normal use, use not in conformity with the printed directions, or damage to the product resulting from negligence, accident, alteration, abuse, misuse, or improper service or repair. This warranty is void if the product is used for other than residential use or subjected to any voltage or waveform other than as specified on the rating label (e.g., 120V 60Hz ). This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser or initial gift recipient.

Wolf Gourmet excludes all claims for special, incidental, and consequential damages caused by breach of express or implied warranty. All liability is limited to the amount of the purchase price. EVERY IMPLIED WARRANTY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, IS DISCLAIMED EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY LAW, IN WHICH CASE SUCH WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY.
