Frequently Asked Questions - FR Porter EVOC

How to choose the right size for the EVOC FR Porter backpack?
Measure your torso length and height, then refer to the size chart: XS (chest 27-37 cm, height 140-155 cm), S (38-43 cm, 155-170 cm), M/L (44-50 cm, 170-192 cm), XL (51-56 cm, 192-200 cm). A wrong choice reduces the effectiveness of the back protector.
How to adjust the backpack for optimal protection?
Loosen the shoulder straps, chest strap and belt. Place the belt on your hips, close it and tighten it. Then tighten the shoulder straps so that the padded back part is centered. Adjust the chest strap above your chest and tighten it for a compact fit.
Can I machine wash my EVOC FR Porter backpack?
No. Machine washing voids the warranty. Clean it manually with fresh water at max. 30°C, with mild soap. Let it air dry, away from any heat source or mechanical drying.
Is the back protector replaceable?
Yes, you can replace the protector if it is damaged after a fall. It is sold as an individual spare part. Make sure to install it correctly, with the flat unprinted side facing your back.
What is the recommended lifespan of the backpack?
EVOC recommends replacing the backpack after 5 years of use from the purchase date, even without visible damage, to ensure the protective function.
Can I use this backpack for motocross or motorcycle?
No. The backpack is designed exclusively for cycling, MTB, snowboarding and skiing. It is not certified for motorized sports (motorcycle, snowmobile, ATV). Use in these conditions voids EVOC's liability.
What to do if the backpack suffers a violent impact?
After each fall or impact, check for mechanical damage on the protector, straps, seams and buckles. If in doubt, stop using and contact EVOC Sports GmbH.
Can I carry sharp or pointed objects?
Yes, but they must be carefully wrapped and placed away from the body. Use cases or tool bags to prevent these items from damaging the back protector.
What are the temperature limits for the backpack?
The backpack is designed for a temperature range of -20°C to +30°C. Beyond that, materials may degrade and reduce protection.
How to store the backpack when not in use?
Store it in a cool, dry and dark place, away from UV and moisture. Avoid contact with aggressive chemicals.
