How to charge the Ultrapower® for the first time?

Before first use, charge the Ultrapower® for 24 hours to ensure the best battery performance. Plug the adapter into a power outlet and connect the charger to the back of the vacuum (EUP82xx models) or to the charging stand (other models). The charge indicator lights up during charging and flashes slowly when charging is complete.

What to do if the vacuum does not turn on?

Ensure the battery is charged. If the appliance does not turn on, check that the ON/OFF button is pressed. If the rotating brush is blocked, the vacuum may shut down automatically. Open the rotating brush cover, remove any obstructions, and ensure the brush rotates freely.

How to clean the filters?

Press the release button to remove the filters from the dust container. Separate the inner filter from the outer filter. Rinse them thoroughly with warm water without detergent. Never wash them in the dishwasher or washing machine. Shake off excess water and let them air dry for at least 12 hours before reinstalling.

What is the BrushRollClean® function for?

The BrushRollClean® function cleans the rotating brush by removing hair and fibers wound around it. Place the vacuum on a hard, flat surface, then press the BrushRollClean® pedal while the vacuum is operating. Hold it down for 5 seconds. A cutting noise is normal. Repeat if necessary.

How to empty the dust container?

Press the release button on the dust container (I) to remove it. Take out the filters from the container by pressing the release buttons. Empty the contents into a trash can. Never wash the dust container or filters in the dishwasher.

What to do if the rotating brush is blocked?

If the rotating brush is blocked, the Ultrapower® stops working. Open the cable guard and the rotating brush cover. Remove the brush and use a pair of scissors to cut away any threads or debris. Reinstall the brush ensuring it rotates freely.

How to remove the batteries for recycling?

Battery removal should only be performed by an authorized Electrolux service center or a recycling collection point. The batteries must be fully discharged before removal. Do not attempt to remove them yourself, as improper handling may be dangerous.

What is the runtime of the vacuum?

The runtime depends on the power mode: 17 minutes in max power mode, 30 minutes in normal mode, and 80 minutes in long duration mode. Values are given for model EUP84xx.

What accessories can I buy?

You can purchase accessories and consumables at www.electrolux.com/shop. The replacement filter is referenced as EF142 (PNC: 900 167 024).

What to do if the BrushRollClean® function stops after a few seconds?

The BrushRollClean® function has an anti-overheating system. If used for more than 30 seconds (continuously or intermittently), the rotating brush and front lighting turn off. The vacuum remains usable. To reactivate the function, place the Ultrapower® on charge for 15 minutes.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Cleaning and maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Batteries must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped.

The battery is to be disposed of safely.

For the purposes of recharging the battery, only use the charging adapter provided with the product.

Ultrapower® should only be used for normal vacuuming indoors and in a domestic environment. Make sure it is stored in a dry place. Packaging material, e.g. plastic bags should not be accessible to children to avoid suffocation.

Never use the vacuum cleaner:

• In wet areas.
• Close to flammable gases, etc.
• When the product shows visible signs of damage.
• On sharp objects or liquids.
• On hot or cold cinders, lighted cigarette butts, etc.
• On fine dust, for instance from plaster, concrete, flour, hot or cold ashes.

Caution:

• Do not leave the vacuum cleaner in direct sunlight.
• Avoid exposing the vacuum cleaner to strong heat.
• The battery cells within must not be dismantled, short circuited or placed against a metal surface.
• Never use the vacuum cleaner without its filters.
• Do not try to touch the brush roll while the cleaner is switched on and the brush roll is turning.
• Mind your fingers if cleaning the inside of the floor nozzle. The metal blade of the BRUSHROLLCLEAN* function is sharp and could cause injury.

Using the vacuum cleaner in the above circumstances may cause serious personal injury or damage to the product. Such injury or damage is not covered by the warranty or by Electrolux.

SERVICING AND WARRANTY

All service or repairs must be carried out by an authorized Electrolux service centre.

This warranty does not cover reduction in battery runtime due to battery age or use, as the life of the battery depends upon the amount and nature of use.

To protect the motor, battery and electronics the product should not be stored or operated in:

• An ambient temperature below 5 °C or exceeding 35 °C. If the product is stored in a temperature below 5 °C or exceeding 35 °C, let the product cool down or warm up and dry for a few hours before usage.
• A humidity level below 20% or exceeding 80% (non-condensing).

If the product is stored for an extended time period (without usage or continuous charging), we recommend to store the product in normal room temperature with the batteries charged at 50% capacity or more. This will maintain the performance of the product.

Attention! Dew condensation may form inside the product if the unit is moved from a cold to a warm environment or after heating up the storage room. Wait a few hours for the internal components to warm up and dry before usage.
