IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance. Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance. Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. The speed switch has to be in position OFF and the appliance has to be unplugged from the power supply before cleaning the appliance, changing the accessories or when not in use. Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use. Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment. Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way in order to avoid the appliance’s fall. Only use this appliance for cooking purposes. This kind of appliance cannot function continuously; it is not a professional type of appliance. It is necessary to make temporary stops. Check the section « Important information » in the instruction manual. It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times as it comes into direct contact with food. Check the section « Cleaning » in the instruction manual. Attention, the blades of the stick attachment or the one of the chopper are very sharp, pay attention not to get cut when manipulating them (cleaning or change of the accessories). Make sure the accessory is solidly and correctly tightened at the motor bloc before starting the appliance. Make sure your hands and/or any kind of utensil stay clear of the recipient when the appliance is in use in order to avoid serious injuries. Never touch the accessories when the appliance is in use. Furthermore, never try to stop the movement of the blade in any way whatsoever. Use the function OFF of the switch or unplug the appliance. When mixing warm liquid, be particularly careful as a projection of warm liquid could cause serious burns. The appliance is designed for the preparation of small quantities of food that have to be consumed rather quickly. It is not designed for the preparation of large quantities at once. The chopper is designed to be used exclusively in its delivery state (bowl, lid and blades in good state) because it gives all the needed securities. Do not try to substitute one of those pieces by another one and if you have to replace one, contact your customer service. Competent qualified electrician: after sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this electrician. IMPORTANT INFORMATION This appliance is not for professional use. You should follow the requested breaks. Failure to follow this instruction carefully may result in damage to the motor. The maximum operation time for beaters and dough hooks is 5 minutes, for the stick attachment and chopper the maximum operation time is 1 minute. The breaks should last at least 10 minutes. USE OF THE BEATERS AND DOUGH HOOKS With those accessories you can beat, knead and mix. It is recommended to make round movements or movements in the shape of an 8.

• Make sure that the switch is in "0" position, and that the appliance is unplugged.

• Beaters/Dough hooks: Insert the beaters/ dough hooks under the body of the mixer and turn slightly until you hear a clicking sound.

• When mounting the hooks, watch the mark next to the openings. Largest circle – dough hook with largest ring.

• Press the ejection button on top of the mixer to release accessories.

USE OF THE STICK ATTACHMENT

You can use this attachment to mix food like for example vegetables to prepare soups but also to mix liquids. This attachment is also suitable for preparing mayonnaise, dressing etc. It only has to be used in a vertical position with blades facing downwards.

• Place the switch to the position “0” and unplug the appliance.

• Pay attention that the other accessories are to be removed from the appliance.

• Open the valve on the bottom of the appliance. Then you will see the opening for the stick attachment

• Place the stick attachment in the opening so that the arrow with symbol on the stick attachment and the arrow on the appliance are facing each other. Turn the stick attachment 90° clockwise until the arrow with symbol on the stick attachment and the arrow on the appliance are facing each other.

• To disassemble the stick attachment, switch off the appliance and unplug it.

• Turn the stick attachment anticlockwise until the arrow with symbol on the stick attachment and the arrow on the appliance are facing each other and take it away from the appliance. Then replace the valve on the opening at the bottom of the appliance. Fax +32 2 359 95 50 Your appliance is fitted with a turbo function which allows to increase the speed of your appliance, whatever the speed (1 to 6). You only have to press the turbo switch and to maintain it. The turbo switches off when you release the button.

With this accessory you can chop condiments, dried fruits or meat. To chop meat, it is recommended to cut it into small pieces first.

• Beforehand assemble the chopper. Therefore place the blades holder on the axle of the bowl and assemble the lid so that the arrow with symbol on the lid and the arrow on the container are facing each other. Turn the lid clockwise until the arrow with symbol on the lid and the arrow on the container are facing each other. It is possible that the lid cannot be assembled correctly. If so, check if the blade is positioned correctly and try again. Check the locking of the lid by pulling on it lightly.

• Make sure the speed switch is in "0" position and the appliance is unplugged from the power supply.

• Do not forget to remove the other accessories from the appliance.

• Open the protection valve on the backside of the appliance. Then you will see the opening for the chopper.

• Insert the chopper in the opening so that both shafts, the arrow with symbol on the chopper and the arrow on the appliance are facing each other. Turn the appliance clockwise until the arrow with symbol on the chopper and the arrow on the appliance are facing each other.

• It is necessary to hold the appliance by its handle when in use.

• To remove the chopper, proceed inversely and close the protection valve.

• Attention, the blades of the chopper are very sharp, pay attention not to get cut when cleaning it.

• Always unplug the appliance from the power supply before cleaning it.

• Remove the accessories before washing them in soap water. Wipe the outside with only a slightly moistened cloth, ensuring that no moisture enters the cooling slots. Do not use scouring pads for the plastic materials. Do not place them in the dishwasher.

• Do not clean with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this will damage the finish.

• Do not immerse the motor bloc in water or any other liquid.
