CONNECTION CABLE
The lead wire of the appliance has to be checked carefully before each use. Do not use the appliance if the flex is damaged. To avoid all danger, it has to be replaced by the manufacturer, the customer service or a competent qualified electrician. The flex used for this appliance is of the type H05RN-F 3x1.00 mm².
The appliance conforms to directives 2006/95/EC, 2004/108/EC, DEEE 2002/96/EC, RoHS 2002/95/ EC, EC 1935/2004.

needed. For this reason, as indica
ted by the symbol onthe rating label, your

appliance should not be
disposed of in a public or private dustbin for household waste.
To dispose of your appliance, you can bring it back to the store where you bought it or you can take it to a collection point for the sorting of domestic waste, so that it can be recycled and reused for other applications.
BEFORE USE
Please read the instruction manual carefully and keep it for future consultation.
- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Always fully unwind the connection cable.
- Make sure that the flex does not come into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.
- Put the appliance on a level surface.
- Never put the appliance on a hot surface or near a flame.
- Connect the plug of the flex to an earthed wall socket of 10/16 A - 230 volt.
- If an extension cord is needed, use one with earth wire and with a wire cross-section of 1.00mm^2
- Take all necessary precautions to prevent the connection cable or extension cord from being tripped over.
- Please avoid all contact with the metallic parts of the appliance during use and wait at least one hour after switching off the
appliance before touching those parts (danger of burning!).
- Keep the appliance away from babies and small children!
- Unplug the appliance and wait for it to cool down before moving it.
- Unplug the appliance and wait until it has completely cooled down before cleaning it.
- For safety reasons we recommend not storing the appliance in a place exposed to the weather or to humidity.
- Do not use the appliance in the rain.
- We recommend connecting the appliance to an installation that is equipped with a ground fault circuit interrupter with a rated fault current of maximally 30mA .
- Do not use the appliance as a heating device.
- Do not leave the appliance plugged in or switched on when it is not in use.
- People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance without supervision or instructions of a responsible person.
- Your appliance must never be switched on through an external timer or any kind of separate remote control system.
- Close supervision is necessary if children are near the appliance in order to avoid that they use it as a toy.
START-UP AND USE
Initial operation
After unpacking the appliance,
please take care that all packing and protective materials have been removed from the appliance.
- Before the first use, the cooking surface and the grease pan should be cleaned (see chapter "Care").
The new appliance may emanate some smoke during the first use.
Start-up
- Put the appliance on a level surface.
- Install the grease pan (see picture A) onto the front of the appliance.

- Fully unroll the connection cable.
- Turn the regulator to the minimum position and stick the power adaptor into the rear side of the appliance until it clicks into place (see picture B).

- Then plug in the appliance and turn the regulator to the maximum position.

Let the grill preheat for 5 to 10 minutes.
-
When the preheating stage has ended, turn the thermostat to the desired position and let the food-stuffs cook according to your taste.
- CAUTION: do not cut directly on the cooking plate as this will damage the non-stick coating.
If you would like to use cooking liquid during use, take the grease pan carefully by the small grips on both ends and let the liquid run out of the spout into a receptacle.
CARE
Always unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely before cleaning it.
Cooking surface: clean the cooking surface with paper towel and then with a humid sponge and some washing-up liquid, wipe with the humid sponge and dry.
Grease pan: clean the grease pan with a sponge and some washing-up liquid, rinse under running water and dry.
Wooden handles: wipe the wooden handles with a damp cloth and dry immediately.
CAUTION:
Never immerse the base of the appliance and the power adaptor in water. Do not use any metallic sponge or any scouring or corrosive agent (type oven cleaner) on the cooking plate, as this may damage the appliance permanently.
Do not clean the cooking plate and grease pan in a dishwasher!
RECIPES
FISH AND CRUSTACEANS
Prawns on a skewer (for 2 people)
- 175g shelled raw prawns
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of fresh chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 35g butter
- 1 chopped clove of garlic
Salt and pepper
Mix the prawns, parsley, lemon juice, salt and pepper in a bowl and let steep for 30 minutes. Melt the butter in a pan and mix with the oil and garlic. Add the prawns. Stir and turn the prawns around in the butter before you skewer them. Spread the skewers on the preheated grill plate and let cook for 5 minutes.
King prawns
- 12 fresh, unshelled king prawns
- Oil
- 1 lemon
Use a paintbrush to cover the king prawns lightly with oil. Preheat the grill plate and spread the king prawns on the plate. When their shell starts to grill, turn over the king prawns and let them grill anew. Garnish with lemon quarters.
Grill mussels
(for 4 people)
- 2kg mussels
- Parsley
Brush and wash the mussels to remove impurities. Spread them on the oiled, well preheated grill plate. As soon as they open up, the mussels are done and should be taken from the grill plate. Season with the fresh parsley or with parsley butter.
Salmon with dill
(6 people)
- 6 slices of salmon
- 3 coffee spoons of chopped dill
Salt and pepper
Butter sauce:
- 100g melted butter
- 3 lemons
- 4 stalks of chives
Salt
Cook the slices of salmon on the grill plate (5 minutes on each side). Besprinkle with chopped dill. Salt and pepper. Serve with the lemon butter sauce.
Grill trout with mustard cream (4 people)
- 4 slices of trout of 150g
-5 courgettes - 4 tablespoons of mustard
- 4 tablespoons of crème fraîche
- Olive oil
Salt, pepper
Brush the mustard on the slices of trout, and chill. Cut the courgettes (lengthwise) into slices. Brush oil on one side and spread the slices of courgette on the lightly oiled
grill surface, let them cook for 10 minutes and then put them aside. Then cook the slices of trout on the grill plate (5 minutes on each side).
Mustard sauce: mix the crème fraîche with some mustard, then salt and pepper. Serve the slices of trout together with the courgettes and the mustard cream.
MEAT DISHES
Chicken fillets in a coat of parsley (for 8 people)
- 8 chicken fillets
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 bunch of parsley
- Olive oil
Salt, pepper
Cut the chicken fillets into strips and let the olive oil drip on them. Chop the garlic and parsley. Brush the spicy mixture on the strips of meat and let the strips cook on the grill surface for 6 minutes, and turn them over frequently. Salt and pepper before serving them.
Chicken breasts with tomatoes and bell pepper
(for 4 people)
- 2 chicken breasts
-2 tomatoes - 1 red bell pepper
- 1 green onion
- 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan
Salt - freshly ground pepper
- Dried oregano
Cut the tomatoes into slices and the bell pepper into strips. Put the
slices of tomato and strips of bell pepper alternately in circular layers in a receptacle. Spread the finely chopped onion over them and put the chicken breasts cut into halves on top. Season. Lightly oil the grill surface and cook the preparation for 15 minutes on the grill plate.
Grilled lemon chicken (for 4 people)
- 4 chicken fillets of 150g
- 3 tablespoons of oil
- 3 lemons
Salt - Pepper
Mix the lemon juice and the oil. Let the chicken fillets steep in the mixture for 30 minutes. Then cook them on the well preheated grill surface (5 minutes on each side).
Grilled sesame chicken (for 6 people)
- 8 chicken fillets
- 150g sesame seed
Salt and pepper
Marinade:
- 50g butter
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons of dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon of tarragon
- 1 tablespoon of mustard Mix the butter, mustard, white wine, soy sauce and tarragon. Put the chicken fillets in the marinade, mix and let steep for 2 hours. Then cook the chicken fillets for 4 minutes on each side on the grill plate. Let some marinade trickle on
the preparation during cooking. Take the chicken fillets from the plate and roll them in the sesame seed. Then grill for 1 more minute on the grill plate.
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- 1 teaspoon of allspice
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
-1 dose of saffron
Salt
Let the diced pork fillet steep for 1 hour in the created mixture and then grill for 10 minutes on the grill plate.
VEGETABLES
Grilled ginger-honey tomatoes (for 4 people)
- 5cm of fresh ginger
- 6 tablespoons of honey
- 4 green lemons
- 4 tomatoes
- 1 piece of candied ginger
Peel and shred the fresh ginger. Mix the honey, lemon juice and two tablespoons of shredded fresh ginger in a bowl. Cut the washed tomatoes into thick slices and let them marinade for 15 minutes in the mixture. Roast the slices of tomato gently on one side on the grill plate for 1
minute. Put them together with the cooking liquid on a dessert plate and besprinkle with the candied ginger cut into small rods.
Grilled aubergines (for 6 people)
-6 aubergines
- 3 shallots
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 4 tablespoons
- Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of drawn off leaflets of thyme
- 1 teaspoon of allspice
Salt
Chop the shallots and cloves of garlic and put them together with the allspice, salt, the drawn off leaflets of thyme and the oil in a bowl and mix. Wash the aubergines, remove the stem and cut the vegetables lengthwise into thin slices. Add the slices in the receptacle with the prepared mixture and let marinade for 30 minutes. Lightly oil and preheat the grill surface. Then cook the slices of aubergine for 5 minutes on each side.
Small skewers with goat cheese (for 6 people)
- 6 small goat cheeses
- 3 small yellow bell peppers
- 6 cherry tomatoes
- 3 white onions
- Salt - Pepper
- 12 slices of smoked breakfast bacon
Cut the bell peppers and onions into cubes and blanch for 5 minutes in boiling water. Cut the slices of
bacon into halves and quarter the small goat cheeses. Wrap the slices of bacon around the cheese quarters and garnish skewers with the pieces of cheese and different kinds of vegetables. Pepper and finish the skewers with a cherry tomato. Grill the skewers for 5 minutes on the oiled grill surface.
Paprika mix
- 2 yellow and 2 orange bell peppers
Salt blossom - Balsamic vinegar
- Olive oil
Cut the bell peppers lengthwise and remove their core. Then cut into thin sections. Let the olive oil drip on them and besprinkle with the salt blossom. Sear for a few minutes on the grill surface, and you can let some hot water drip on them.
Put the sections on a plate when they are golden brown and season with the salt blossom and balsamic vinegar.
